Claims (11)
- Vorrichtung zum Glätten einer Papier- oder Kartonbahn (2) mit einem ersten Abschnitt (3), in dem eine erste Seite (6) der Bahn (2) an einem beheizten Band (4) und die gegenüberliegende zweite Seite (7) an einem gekühlten Band (5) anliegt, und mit einem zweiten Abschnitt (17), dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß im zweiten Abschnitt (17) eine Breitnippresse (18) angeordnet ist, in der eine glatte, beheizte harte Walze (19) und ein umlaufender Mantel (20), der mit Hilfe eines Stützschuhs (21) an der Walze (19) anliegt, einen Nip (22) bilden, durch den die Bahn (2) läuft, wobei die zweite Seite (7) der Bahn (2) an der Walze (19) anliegt, die eine Oberflächentemperatur im Bereich von 95°C bis unter 100°C aufweist.
- Vorrichtung nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß der Stützschuh (21) eine konkave Krümmung (26) aufweist, die an die Krümmung der Walze (19) angepaßt ist.
- Vorrichtung nach Anspruch 1 oder 2, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die mittlere Druckspannung im Nip (22) im Bereich von 0,1 bis 3 N/mm2 liegt.
- Vorrichtung nach einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 3, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß der Mantel dampfundurchlässig ausgebildet ist.
- Vorrichtung nach einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 4, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß vor dem Nip (22) eine Dampfauftragseinrichtung (27) auf der Seite der Bahn (2) angeordnet ist, die an der Walze (19) anliegt.
- Verfahren zum Glätten einer Papier- oder Kartonbahn (2), bei dem die Bahn (2) zwischen einem beheizten ersten Band (4) an ihrer ersten Seite (6) und einem gekühlten zweiten Band (5) an ihrer zweiten Seite (7) über eine vorbestimmte Strecke geführt wird, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die Bahn (2) danach durch einen Breitnip (22) geführt wird, der durch eine harte, beheizte glatte Walze (19) und einen Mantel (20) gebildet wird, der über einen vorbestimmten Umfangsabschnitt an der Walze (19) anliegt, wobei die zweite Seite (7) der Bahn (2) an der Walze (19) anliegt, die man auf einer Oberflächentemperatur im Bereich von 95°C bis unter 100°C beheizt.
- Verfahren nach Anspruch 6, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß man die Feuchtigkeit der Bahn auf höchstens 12% vor dem Einlaufen in den Breitnip einstellt.
- Verfahren nach Anspruch 6 oder 7, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß man die Bahn im Breitnip mit einer Druckspannung im Bereich von 0,1 bis 3 N/mm2 beaufschlagt.
- Verfahren nach einem der Ansprüche 6 bis 8, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß man die Walze mit einem vorbestimmten Schlupf gegenüber der Bahn rotieren läßt.
- Verfahren nach einem der Ansprüche 6 bis 9, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß man die wirksame Länge des Breitnips so wählt, daß die Bahn eine Verweilzeit von mindestens 1,5 ms im Breitnip aufweist.
- Verfahren nach einem der Ansprüche 6 bis 10, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die Bahn vor dem Eintritt in den Breitnip auf der Seite, die an der Walze anliegt, befeuchtet wird, insbesondere mit Dampf.
