    1. Lock having a burglar-proof security unit according to claim 1, characterised in that the headless screw (14) fixing the shield (12) onto the body (7a) of the security unit (6) is disposed in a tapped bore (13) arranged transversely in the shield-ring (12) and is protected by an insert (17) which is made of high-strength material, penetrates transversely into the tapped bore (13) and is disposed in a clearance (16) which extends from the rear face (12a) of the shield (12) to the said tapped bore (13).
    3. Lock having a burglar-proof security unit according to claim 1, characterised in that the shield (12) has, projecting from its rear face (12a), a reinforcing gutter (18) which penetrates into the lock casing (3) via a cutout (21) and passes below, and in contact with, the bridge (8).
    4. Lock having a burglar-proof security unit according to claim 1, characterised in that each of the screws (20) for fixing the security unit (6)/shield (12) unit onto the door passes through a reinforcing distance-piece (22) disposed in the lock casing (3) in order to prevent deformation of the two lateral walls of the said casing.
    5. Lock having a burglar-proof security unit according to claim 1, characterised in that the shield-ring (12) is made of material which is at least as strong as that which constitutes the body (7, 7a) of the security unit (6).
    6. Lock having a burglar-proof security unit according to claim 1, characterised in that the tapped bore (13) is arranged in the shield-ring (12) in such a way that it emerges from the rear face (12a) of the said ring and has an oblique longitudinal axis which is coaxial with that of the clearance (15) arranged in the body.
    7. Lock having a security unit according to claim 1, characterised in that its casing (6) has at least one clearance (25) which, disposed parallel to the direction of insertion of the security unit (6) in the said casing and close to the opening (10) provided for the passing-through of said unit, forms a bearing for the cylindrical shank (27) of a temporary wedging device (26) whose jamming head (28) is at least provided with an eccentric bearing surface (30) which is capable, as a result of rotation, of occupying either a position of disengagement, in which it is outside the path of insertion of the security unit (6) in the casing, or a wedging position, in which it rests against the body of the said security unit (6) and wedges the latter against the casing.
    8. Lock having a security unit according to claim 7, characterised in that the clearance forming a bearing for the temporary wedging device (26) is one of the clearances (25) provided in the casing (6) for the passing-through of the screws (20) for fixing the shield (12).
    9. Lock having a security unit according to claim 7, characterised in that the shank (27) and the head (28) are disposed inside the casing (2) which is equipped with bearings which guide the rotation of said shank (27) and with an opening which makes it possible to gain access to the head (28) in order to drive it in rotation.
    10. Lock having a security unit according to claim 1, characterised in that the component for linking the shield (12) with the part (7a) of the body (7) is constituted by a pin which is forcibly fitted into the bores arranged in the shield (12) and in the said part (7a).
