Definitions

  • the invention relates to profiled semi-finished, provided with a cavity connecting rails for connecting the electrical components of electrical equipment and apparatus with an external circuit, wherein the connecting rails extend through located in the device or apparatus wall window openings and fixed by fastening means in the housing. Connecting rails of this type have been proposed in DE patent application 199 39 710.4.
  • a system-side supply rail or another suitable connection element for the energy supply or removal can be connected to the part of a connection rail which is led out from the housing to the outside.
  • the connecting rail is usually fixedly arranged in the insulating wall body of a device or apparatus, which is usually realized by means of passage openings and fasteners.
  • the connecting rails must continue to be designed so that they can be produced efficiently and are suitable to fulfill certain functions. These functions are: current carrying capacity, heat dissipation, an area for connection of feeder rails as well as the absorption and transmission of static and dynamic forces. It is therefore a job that is heavily used in terms of power and dynamics.
  • connection bars for different currents in a single housing with uniform lead-through openings.
  • a fastener for the connecting rail used in conventional Devices and apparatus Screws which extend through openings arranged transversely to the longitudinal axis of the connecting rails and for the reception of which usually a nut thread is provided in the wall of the corresponding housing.
  • metal inserts or press-in nuts are used for a housing made of an insulating material for this purpose.
  • connecting rails which are sawn from a profile material with one or more projections, such that the connecting rails are inserted through a hole and the one or more projections of the profile material as stops of the connecting rail serve on the switch housing and thus form the power transmission of the switching forces on the housing.
  • Such a connecting rail for a low-voltage circuit breaker, with a molded projection has been proposed to overcome the aforementioned expense in DE 196 43 607 A1 (closest prior art).
  • This connecting rail is inserted from the inside through the passage opening of the housing wall and is supported by means of a projection on the rear wall of the housing.
  • special profiles are used which have an integrally molded bar, from which then pieces are cut, which form the connecting rail.
  • connecting rails of different thicknesses, depending on the nominal current.
  • These connecting rails are also made of profiles by sawing.
  • the housing has uniform cutouts for the connection rails, which are each designed for the largest rated current.
  • plastic spacers are used, which fill the gaps.
  • the mounting of the Distanzstükke has the disadvantage of additional costs for these parts and higher installation costs and they form a source of error in a customer installation of the current paths.
  • connection bars regardless of the other manufacturing technology made of solid material. This requires that the rails for different currents also have different cross-sections and thus different external dimensions; a disadvantage that has already been dealt with above.
  • Hollow current-carrying conductors are known from high-voltage and high-frequency engineering.
  • the hollow design serves only the purpose of reducing the corona losses of the conductors, ie the radiation of energy at sharp edges or narrow radii, or to take into account the skin effect, which is based on the fact that at high frequencies only in the outer region of a conductor Energy is transmitted, but not for the purpose of ensuring a different current-carrying capacity with a uniform outer cross-section.
  • a current-carrying hollow arrangement is also described in US-PS 3,597,713, which shows a device as a replacement for a high-voltage fuse, in which a combination of a vacuum switch with a handle, which, similar to a high or medium voltage circuit breaker an eyelet for actuation, is shown.
  • a hollow connector of the device an electronic circuit is installed in a hollow connector of the device.
  • connection bars for low-voltage circuit breakers which are made from a hollow profiled material by sawing and which can have both one and more cavities. These connection bars have the same outer cross section for all different current intensities.
  • the current carrying capacity is regulated by means of the wall thickness of the hollow rail, which forms the conductive, current-carrying cross-section. It follows that at lower currents by small wall thicknesses, a larger, or at higher currents by thicker wall thicknesses a smaller inner cavity is present, which can lead to a massive design without a cavity, at the highest rated current. On the external dimensions required for this highest rated current then the lead-through openings are designed in the respective equipment and apparatus housings. However, the production of such hollow profiles from some preferably used for the production of such connecting rails materials is associated with considerable difficulties.
  • the object of the present invention is to design hollow connection rails in such a way that they have the same outer cross-section even with different nominal current values and without additional spacers in device and apparatus housings with uniform passage openings can be used, but to avoid the problems in the production of hollow semi-finished profiles.
  • the hollowness of the connecting rail is caused by the fact that it consists of two or more sections formed as profiles, which are formed so that they are positively or otherwise connectable to each other to a hollow connecting rail.
  • the connecting rail is composed of two profile-shaped sections, of which the first part forms the upper part of the connecting rail and the second part forms the lower part of the same. This results in flat upper and lower rail surfaces, which is particularly important in terms of use for slide-in switch to achieve proper sliding into the Einschublamellen briefly.
  • the sections have one or more legs whose lengths determine the height of the connecting rail. This ensures that the connection bars for all currents have the same external dimensions that correspond to the uniform dimensions of the feed-through window in the rear wall of the low-voltage circuit breaker.
  • the current carrying capacity of the connecting rail is determined by the thickness of the material.
  • one or more legs of the respective one section are provided with connecting elements which engage positively in counter-elements of the respective other section.
  • the three legs are provided, two of which are arranged on a section and one on the other section. This results in a simpler manufacturing for the sections, as if all legs would be arranged on a section.
  • the cuts are by one or more positive connections and / or partially connected by soldering, welding or the like. Required holes for fixing the system side busbars are advantageously punched.
  • Fig. 1 shows schematically a low-voltage circuit breaker in section.
  • Fig. 2 shows a possible advantageous embodiment of a lower connecting rail according to the present invention in section.
  • FIG. 3 shows the connecting rail according to FIG. 2 in the state before the parts are assembled in a perspective view.
  • Fig. 4 shows the connecting rail of Figure 2 after joining the sections in perspective view.
  • a low-voltage circuit breaker 1 is shown schematically in section.
  • the upper terminal rail 3 shown in a conventional form and led out in the inventive embodiment, passed through the current transformer 6, lower connecting rail 4 are led out.
  • the contact carrier 9 located movable switch contact 10 is connected at the upper connecting rail 3 .
  • the arc extinguishing chamber 7 Above the fixed switching contact 5 and the movable switching contact 10, the arc extinguishing chamber 7 is arranged.
  • Fig. 2 shows a possible advantageous embodiment of a lower connecting rail 4 according to the present invention in side view. It consists of a profile-shaped upper portion 11 and a likewise profiled lower portion 12. These are connected by a provided on the upper portion 11 web 13 with a transverse web located at the end 14 and provided at the lower portion 12 guide rail 15 by telescoping positively connected to each other.
  • the upper portion 11 has an angled portion 16, and the lower portion 12 is a right angle portion 17, both of which are dimensioned to form connecting webs between the upper portion 11 and the lower portion 12 with their lengths determine the height of the connecting rail 4.
  • both portions 11,12 are connected to each other in addition to the positive connection described above by soldering, welding or the like.
  • a hollow connecting rail 4 is provided which has two cavities 18, 19.
  • the extensions 22, 23 serve as stops for an axial fixation of the connecting rail 4 on the switch housing.
  • FIG. 3 the connecting rail 4 according to FIG. 2 in the state before the joining of the sections 11, 12 is shown in a perspective view and in Fig. 4, the same connecting rail 4 after joining the sections 11, 12, also in perspective Presentation.
  • the same parts of Fig. 2 are provided with the same reference numerals, which is why a repeated description of these parts is unnecessary.
  • FIGS. 3 and 4 only the function of the web 13 with its transverse web 14 and the guide rail 15 is to be illustrated more clearly.
  • 11 recesses 25 are provided in an extension 24 at the upper portion.
  • the right angle arranged part 17 of the lower portion 12 has an extension 26, in which also recesses 27 are provided, which are aligned with the recesses 25 in the upper portion 11, so that the above-mentioned flexible conductor cables into the recesses 25, 27 of both sections 11, 12 can be introduced.
  • the recesses 25; 27 can of course also be milled after assembly.
  • the advantage of this embodiment according to the invention is that these sub-profiles can be easily produced.
  • the current carrying capacity of the terminal rail is determined by the thickness of the material and not by the external dimensions.
