Abstract

Abgasanlage für mehrzylindrige Verbrennungsmotoren mit einem Abgaskrümmer mit einer sich in Richtung auf den Motor verzweigenden, auf einer Motorseite an dessen Abgasaustrittsöffnungen anschließbaren Anordnung aus Abgasrohren und mindestens einem Abgaskatalysator, wobei zur Erzielung eines kompakten Aufbaus bei gleichzeitig guter Abgasreinigungsleistung die Gasaustrittseite der verzweigten Abgasrohranordnung durch zwei nebeneinanderliegende Gasaustrittsöffnungen gebildet ist, mit denen jeweils ein Teil der verzweigten Abgasrohre in Strömungsverbindung steht und an die jeweils ein Rohr einer Doppelrohranordnung mit zwei parallel nebeneinander verlaufenden Rohren angeschlossen ist, deren anderes, gasaustrittsseitiges Ende in einer vor dem Abgaskatalysator angeordneten Strömungshülse mündet, in welcher die Katalysatoranströmung gestaltet wird.
