Definitions

  • the invention relates to a two-wheel lock, in particular an immobilizer for two-wheel vehicles.
  • the invention is based on the object of creating a two-wheel lock to prevent the change in position of the wheels and frame of a vehicle relative to one another, in particular an immobilizer, which can be used with a high degree of safety, is easy to use and is easy to handle for transport.
  • the object is achieved in that the two-wheel lock is designed, in particular, as an immobilizer for two-wheeled vehicles and allows the wheels to be clamped between their shortest radial distance from one another.
  • the immobilizer is designed in such a way that a guiding and closing part movably receives two oppositely positioned quill sleeves, which have semicircularly curved holding elements at their outwardly directed free ends.
  • the elements are arranged between the shortest radial distance between the wheels, firmly clamped to one another and brought into a locking operative connection with the guide and locking part.
  • the operative connection is established in that at least one quill has a locking grid that extends across lengths.
  • the invention is designed in such a way that the cross-length locking grid is connected to a pawl that can be moved into the grid in the guide and locking part.
  • the invention obtains a meaningful embodiment in that the blocking grid is formed in opposite directions, carries sliding and closing sides, the closing side being directed radially, perpendicularly to the longitudinal center axis of the quill, having stops and on the sliding side having surfaces which are inclined radially at an angle to the sliding direction.
  • the invention is also carried out when the locking grid is annular groove-shaped.
  • the invention is meaningfully designed so that the locking grid is applied as a toothed rack on the quill.
  • the movable pawl is equipped with a stop and is operatively connected to a locking lever of a locking mechanism, the pawl being placed in an unlocked position from the grid.
  • the pawl is held against the locking grid by a spring and can be moved over the sliding side for a tensioning movement in the area of the locking grid and immovably brought into a locking position in front of the closing side.
  • the quill has a recess with which it is brought into a releasable operative connection after being inserted into the guiding and closing element.
  • the invention has the advantage that the immobilizer with its holding elements engages over the rims of the wheels.
  • the wheels By moving the sleeves in the guide and locking part in an opposite direction, spanning the shortest space between the wheels, the wheels are fixed against loosening from their bearings.
  • the immobilizer is in the area of the bottom bracket on the frame and prevents the pedals from moving. Due to this sensible arrangement of the lock, the frame and both wheels form a non-detachable unit.
  • the one-sided locking grid allows effortless and seamless classification the lock by a sliding movement of the quills to each other. When the narrowest point is reached at the shortest distance between the wheels, the pawl engages in the closing side of the locking grid.
  • a release of the locking grid and a removal of the fuse from its position is only possible if a locking mechanism in the guide and locking part is operated, which lifts the pawl out of the locking grid and thus releases the locking side.
  • the sleeve can be inserted into the guide and closing part without a locking mechanism and held in the area of a resilient index.
  • the quill with the locking grid can be easily moved into the congruent position to the other quill by the sliding position of the locking grid for a narrower position.
  • the solution according to the invention is not only limited to securing two-wheeled vehicles, but as the generic term expresses, it can also be used for securing multi-wheeled vehicles. Either only two wheels can be secured here, but it is advisable to use several safeguards because the mechanism is extremely simple and uncomplicated to use. It is now up to the expert to secure his vehicle against driving away and illegal removal of vehicle parts. It has the advantage of docking the vehicle by connecting it to a fixed part at any point on the vehicle without fear that essential functional parts will be stolen.

  • FIG. 6 shows that the head of the pawl 11 rests in the locking grid 6 on the closing side 7 and presents the beveled surface of the pawl head, which allows movement in the direction of arrow 16, even if, as shown in Fig. 7, the pawl 11 is pulled with its head out of the locking grid 6.
  • Fig. 3 illustrates a selected shape of the guide and closing part 1 and the arrangement of the quill 2; 3 in their radial extension to each other.
  • the line 19 shows the concave shape of the head of the pawl 11 when the locking grid 6 is designed in the manner of ring grooves. It is of course accessible to the person skilled in the art that the locking grid 6 can also be designed to encompass the sleeve 3 only partially, even in the manner of a toothed rack.
  • 5 shows an edge-functional design of the resilient index 9 in a partial section in a separate representation. The index 9 allows its ball to snap into the recess 10 when the sleeve 2 is inserted into the guide and closing part 1 in order to obtain a shorter length of its shaft in the transport distance.
