Definitions
- the invention relates to a snow cannon according to the preamble of claim 1.
- Snow cannon generally includes a device for Production of snow from water and compressed air or compressor air under To understand use of a mixing nozzle or mixing gun.
- Snow cannons this kind are also known in particular as so-called “lance systems”. They consist in essentially from a mixing gun for water and compressed air (compressor air) acting nozzle, which is mounted on a relatively high mast and according to the respective weather or snow conditions (especially air temperature, Humidity and water temperature) a certain amount of air mixed with fine distributed or finely atomized water in the environment in such a way that the finely atomized water droplets in the compressed air jet can form snow crystals.
- weather or snow conditions especially air temperature, Humidity and water temperature
- the inventive design offers compared to conventional lance systems significant benefits. With the additional, large-volume airflow, one can achieve a long trajectory of the particles generated at the nozzle, including with the advantage that the snow produced can be applied where it is actually needed is, as well as with the advantage that at a reduced height of the respective mast or the respective lance a sufficiently long trajectory for the particles and thus sufficient time for snow crystal formation is achieved.
- the additional large-volume airflow which is also independent can be regulated or controlled by the compressed air and the amount of water continue specifically with such nozzles that use nucleators to generate the Snow formation accelerating or improving nuclei (small ice or Snow crystals in the immediate vicinity of the nozzle outlet) are provided Snow formation by swirling and mixing these nuclei in the air flow improved even further. Due to the additional airflow, a more uniform snowmaking achieved, d. H. in particular it becomes one from a distance dependent classification of snow particles according to their mass avoided.
- the additional air flow essentially serves for transportation and the swirling of the particles generated at the nozzle or nozzle arrangement while the atomization of the water and the generation of particles (especially finely divided Water particles and possibly nuclei) are carried out solely through the nozzle or nozzle arrangement.
- This also makes it possible to largely use the additional air flow regardless of the amount of compressed air and water supplied to the nozzle and to control the distribution, for example the snow-making angle of the Snow cannon and / or change the trajectory of the particles and / or a To adapt to actual wind conditions.
- this is the source of the additional air forming blowers via a duct with the outlet opening for the additional air connected.
- the channel is then, for example, through a wall to the outside limited by a thin-walled, flexible but impermeable to air or formed at least difficult permeable tube material and for example by the pressure of the blower is kept in the required shape and position.
- This Training has the advantage that the mast or lance of the snow cannon through the Functional elements required for the additional air are not needed or only completely is insignificantly additionally charged.
- the snow cannon generally designated 1 in FIG. 1, essentially exists from one in the field, for example on the edge of a ski slope on a foundation 2 mounted lance 3, which by appropriate actuators, for example by oil hydraulic cylinders, of which in Figure 1 for the sake of simplicity only a cylinder 4 is shown, adjustable is provided on the foundation 2, for example by swiveling around horizontal axes and by turning around a vertical axis.
- foundation 2 i.e. H.
- frost-proof different functional elements of the snow cannon 1 housed, for example, a valve block 5 to control the atomize Water volume, valves 6 for regulating and controlling the compressed air, a water connection 7 for connection to a water supply laid in the area in a frost-proof manner Connection 8 for connection to a compressed air supply installed in the field and further functional elements, not shown, for example an electronic one, from control device controlled by a central computer, etc.
- the lance 3 consists of an inner lance body 9, which in the illustrated Embodiment forms the actual load-bearing part of the lance 3 and in the various supply lines 10 for water under pressure and for the compressor or Compressed air are taken in and the actual end at its free end Has active part of the snow cannon 1 forming water-compressed air nozzle 11, which as Mixing gun is designed for water and compressed air and controlled by the Valve block 5 depending on the current weather conditions (Snow conditions, air temperature, humidity and water temperature) certain amount of water mixed with the escaping compressed air and doing so is sprayed that in the emerging compressed air jet snow formation with the desired quality.
- Snow conditions, air temperature, humidity and water temperature certain amount of water mixed with the escaping compressed air and doing so is sprayed that in the emerging compressed air jet snow formation with the desired quality.
- the lance 3 is also with an annular surrounding the lance body 9
- Air duct 12 is provided, which is delimited on the outside by a wall 13.
- the Channel 12 extends to the vicinity of the lower end of lance 3 and is there with the Output of an electrically driven blower 14 connected, which air from the Aspirates environment and presses into the channel 12.
- the channel 12 Near the free end of the Lance 3, the channel 12 has an opening 15, which as the end there Lance body 9 surrounding annular opening is executed and opposite the free end of the nozzle 11 against the nozzle exit direction set back, i.e. is offset towards the rear of the nozzle 11 that this nozzle with its outlet openings protrudes from the opening 15 of the channel 12.
- the opening 15 lies in a plane that is oriented perpendicular or approximately perpendicular to the axis of the nozzle 11.
- the axis of the In the embodiment shown, nozzle 11 closes with the longitudinal axis of the lance 3 or the lance body 9 an angle ⁇ less than 90 °, which is for free End of the lance opens, in such a way that at the angle ⁇ compared to Horizontal inclined lance 3 the axis of the nozzle 11 in horizontal or approximately is oriented in the horizontal direction.
- the blower 14, which has a large volume Airflow supplies, for example, is accommodated in the foundation 2 Control device in its performance individually, d. H. independent of the control the amount of air and / or water controllable at the nozzle 11.
- air flow of the blower 14 can The trajectory of the nozzle 11 optimally generated snow particles to meet the respective needs be controlled, regardless of the control of the water and Compressed air volume that depends on the current weather conditions Generation of the largest possible amount of snow with the desired quality.
- the wall 13 is in the simplest case of a thin-walled hose or bag-like material, e.g. B. fabric and / or film, which or which is airtight or largely airtight and solely by pressure the blower 14 is held in the required shape and position.
- this hose or bag material for example, at one with the Lance body 3 connected and held this surrounding ring.
- the wall 13 can also be of a thin-walled type, for example Tube be formed.
- the advantage of the snow cannon 1 is, on the one hand, that through the Blower 14 generated additional airflow u. a. the exit angle and / or the Exit speed of the water / snow items are controllable.
- Figure 1 are with the lines 15 the exit angle of the particles when the fan 14 and with the lines 17 the exit angle of the particles at a higher power of the fan 14 reproduced, each with the same amount of compressed air and water on the Nozzle 11.
- Another advantage is that the air flow in the lance body 9 surrounding channel 12 a pre-cooling of the water and the compressed air in Lance body 9 or on the length of the supply lines 10 there, with which one with the same weather conditions and the same snow quality Increase in performance of snow cannon 1 (amount of snow produced per unit of time) is possible.
- the additional air flow generated by the fan 14 contributes to Use of nucleators also improves swirling or mixing of the Nuclei generated directly at the nozzle 10 and thus the performance of Snow cannon also increased.
- the overall height of the snow cannon 1 can also be reduced be, because of the additional air flow of the blower 14, the trajectory of Drops of water that have not yet turned to snow are extended and this also increases the time available for conversion to snow becomes.
- existing water drops in the fan 14 generated additional airflow crystallize faster anyway.
- FIG. 2 shows a further possible embodiment of the invention.
- the snow cannon 1a 2 has i.a. a lance 3a formed by a lance body 9a upper end fixed with its axis oriented in the vertical direction lance body 9a has a nozzle head 18 carrying the nozzle 11a.
- the columnar lance body 9a is rotatable or pivotable about its vertical axis.
- the nozzle head 18 is one horizontal axis pivotally provided at the upper end of the lance body 9.
- the snow cannon 1a also has the additional blower 14a, which with one end of a channel 12a delimited by the wall 13a is connected, the other end of which surrounds the nozzle 11a this nozzle recessed annular opening 15a for the exit of the Fan 14a creates additional air.
- the snow cannon 1a differs from the snow cannon 1 u. a. also in that the channel 12a outside the Lance body 9a, d. H. this is not intended to be comprehensive.
- the construction shown in Figure 2 offers the possibility that the Supply lines 10a running directly in the channel 12a and thus directly through the additional air flow of the fan 14a is provided cooled.
- FIG. 3 shows a snow cannon 1b as a further possible embodiment differs from the snow cannon 1a essentially only in that instead of the hose or tube body, a housing or pipe section 19 is provided is which has the same axis as its axis or approximately the same axis as the axis of the Nozzle head 18 is arranged.
- the tube piece 19 open at both ends is sufficient with one open end 20 to the nozzle head 18.
- a blower 21 is provided, which from the electric motor 22 and the fan or blower element 23 having a plurality of blades is formed.
- the housing 19 with the fan 21 are held on a bracket 24 which on the Lance body 9a is attached.
- the blower 21 is again in its performance regardless of the compressed air supplied to the nozzle body 18 or the nozzle 11 a Controllable water volume.
