Definitions
- the invention relates to a tailpiece for a musical instrument with a Holding body to which a holding device for strings of the musical instrument is arranged and which with a Einitatibogen forming Hanging string provided for fixing the holding body to the musical instrument is.
- tailpieces are used, for example, for fixing strings to violins, Violas, cellos or double basses.
- the hanging string By means of the hanging string while the tailpiece is fixed to a saddle button of the musical instrument, one end of the strings of the musical instrument is played via the holding device fixed to the tailpiece and the other end of the strings, for example, on fixed to a pegbox of the musical instrument.
- Tailpieces are for example in DE 195 15 166 A1, the EP 0 242 221 A2, DE 297 12 635 U1, US Pat. No. 5,883,318, the DE 28 45 241 A1 or EP 0 273 499 A1 is shown or described.
- tailpiece is on a Bottom of a corresponding holding body arranged a recess. About two recesses, the respective ends of the hanging string in the Well guided and the ends of the hanging string are threaded Mistake. At the two ends a knurled nut is arranged, and It can thereby vary the size of a Einitatibogens.
- the invention is based on the object, a tailpiece to create the type mentioned, which can be used in a simple manner is.
- This task is in a generic tailpiece solved in that on the holding body an adjusting device for Adjustment of the distance of a Einitatibogenscheitels of the hanging string for Holding body is arranged and that according to the invention the adjusting device from an outside of the holding body is operable ago.
- a stringed instrument such as a violin, a viola, a Cello or a double bass not only plays the tension for the sound, below which the string stands, a role, but also the ratio of the length of the Primary string to the secondary string.
- the primary string is the string area, which lies between a saddle and a bridge and the secondary string is the string area, which between the bridge and the Tailpiece is lying.
- a Adjustment device for adjusting the distance of a Ein vonbogenscheitels the hanging string relative to the holding body and thus relative to the holding device is provided, the length of the secondary string over the tailpiece to adjust.
- the strings do not have to be on the vertebrae of the Musical instruments are solved and the tailpiece of the musical instrument to be dismantled; rather, it is possible to adjust the relationship the length of the primary string to the secondary string in a stringed musical instrument to adjust. Required corrections can be easily done carry out.
- the outside of the tailpiece is that area of the Tailpiece, which is not the musical instrument and especially one Ceiling of the musical instrument is facing.
- the adjusting device is an actuating element for adjusting the distance of the Ein monbogenscheitels and in particular a single actuator comprises, which from an outer side of the holding body Her is operable.
- this one control element can then be the Distance of Einitatibogenscheitels to the holding device for the strings easy way to set.
- the actuator of facing away from the holding device for the string of the musical instrument End of the holding body operable forth and in particular from one end of the Holding body operable, via which the hanging string connected to this is.
- the risk of damage to a surface of the Musical instruments for example via a screwdriver for actuation of the actuating element minimized because the loading surface of the screwdriver is minimized for a ceiling of the musical instrument.
- the adjusting element of the adjusting device relative to the musical instrument its maintains translational position, d. H. not translational to the musical instrument moved while the distance of the Einticianailleogenscheitels changed becomes. It is thereby avoided that, for example, if the length of the Secondary string is shortened and the tailpiece wanders towards the bridge, the position of the point of application for the actuator to its operation deeper above the ceiling of the musical instrument and thus the risk of damage of the musical instrument, for example, by a screwdriver is enlarged.
- the adjusting device on at least in the area the adjusting device channel-shaped underside of the holding body is arranged.
- the adjustment can be through the holding body cover to the outside and in particular to an upper side, if the tailpiece is arranged on the musical instrument, d. H. the bottom of the tailpiece facing a ceiling of the musical instrument.
- the actuating element relative to the HakeSh is translationally movable and in particular the actuator substantially parallel to a longitudinal direction of the holding body translationally movable is.
- this translational movement can then be the distance of the Vertex of the Einitatibogens of the hanging string relative to the holding device to adjust. It can then but also accomplish that in at the Musical instrument fixed tailpiece the actuator relative to the musical instrument is determined translationally, d. H. a rotation of the actuating element to a displacement of the apex of the Ein vonbogens relative to the holding body leads, but not to a displacement of the actuating element relative to the musical instrument.
- the adjusting element is an adjusting screw.
- a Such setscrew can be operated in a simple manner to over a Rotary movement, for example, mediated by a screwdriver, a To generate translation movement, which is the distance of the vertex of the Ein vonbogens the hanging string changed to the holding body.
- Such a change in distance can be on manufacturing technology simple way Run in that rotatably and immovably on the holding body a Thread guide is arranged, for example via a nut for a set screw, so that upon rotation of the screw relative to the holding body this is translationally displaceable. Upon rotation of the screw then changes that is, their translational position relative to the holding body, resulting in in turn, the distance of the vertex of Einitatibogens to the holding body can be adjusted.
- a sliding guide is provided for the adjusting element, wherein this guide in particular at a distance from the thread guide is arranged. This allows the guide with respect to the apex of the suspension bow train the hanging string with greater play.
- the adjusting device is substantially symmetrical with respect to formed a longitudinal axis of the holding body. This can be a achieve uniform distance adjustment with respect to the suspension bow.
- the Hanging string formed by a threaded plastic wire, which is encased outside the area of the ends and in particular in the area the Einitatibogens is wrapped, which on the saddle button of the musical instrument is hung.
- About the thread in the area of the end of a Ein vonsait can be a retaining element screwed and in particular a Knurled nut. With this knurled nut turn the hanging string can be to fix on a truss element, d. H. the one end of the hanging string is fixed with respect to the truss element and the other as well. through the thread can be the distance between the end and the Adjust truss element and thus the length of the suspension bow.
- a nut in which the set screw is turned.
- a truss element is provided, on which the Hanging string for forming a suspension bow via knurled nuts, for example is fixed.
- a bridge element which in particular in one piece is formed on the underside of the holding body, these knurled nuts, d. H. the free ends of the hanging string, and lead the actuator. It can thus be an adjustment by a few components (Holding body, adjusting element, thread guide, two knurled nuts, hanging string and truss element) form.
- the tailpiece according to the invention can be simple Manufacture.
- a contact surface of the truss element angled for a holding element If then the hanging string under Tension is when the strings of the musical instrument are under tension, then the retaining elements are due to the slightly angled contact surface moved accordingly and are no longer completely parallel to Longitudinal direction of the holding body aligned. In turn, this will be braced with walls of a recess in which the holding elements are guided so that the free end of the hanging string with the holding body are tense. This allows a possible buzzing of the hanging string, which causes disturbing noise, largely avoid.
- the retaining element is formed by a knurled nut.
- a knurled nut can be on the one hand, the first arch part and fix the second arch part to the truss member and the other can be about the position of the knurled nut relative to the end of an arch part adjust the length of the suspension bow.
- the Einitatibogens it is advantageous if to the distance is adjustable between the end of an arch part and the holding element.
- a tailpiece can be produced in a simple and cost-effective manner, if the truss element translationally with respect to the adjustment the holding body is positionable. Since the hanging string on the truss element is fixed to form a Ein vonbogens, is a translational Movement of the truss element thereby also the vertex of the Ein vonbogens relative to the holding body and thus relative to the holding device the holding body positioned. It can be achieved in turn, in that the adjusting element itself is translational with respect to the musical instrument is firmly positioned and is only rotatable relative to this, so that the distance of the apex of Einitatibogens to the holding body to simple Way is adjustable.
- a bridge element can be integrally arrange on the tailpiece and for example in an injection molded Plastic part as a holding body integrally mitherstellen.
- a guide for the actuating element in the bridge element is formed, so as the manufacturing effort to keep low.
- a certain adjustment of the adjustment predetermined for example in a length range of about 5 to 7 mm, to For a user, the variation options are not too extensive.
- the actuator can always from operate the same access area, regardless of how Tailpiece is positioned to the musical instrument, d. H. what length the Secondary string has. It is particularly avoided that an actuating end of the actuating element, for example a control head of a set screw, migrates towards the bridge of the musical instrument when the distance of the Vertex of the Ein vonbogens the hanging string changed relative to this bridge becomes. It is thus avoided that the actuating end of the actuating element moved deeper into the ceiling area of the musical instrument.
- a captive for the hanging string in dissolved Provided actuator This avoids that even if that whillement is solved, the hanging string detaches from the holding body.
- the truss element has one or more retaining lugs for this purpose
- retaining lugs for this purpose
- the guide recess thus limits the displaceability, in particular with side walls the retaining lug and thereby blocks the Wegziehbarkeit the Traverse with the Hanging string from the holding body.
- the retaining lug is on a tab of the truss element arranged.
- the tab can then, for example, by a Bridge element extend through so a large distance between a rear end of the truss member and a front end thereof; which is formed by the flap to form.
- This in turn can be easily a kind of anti-tilt by means of the actuator form, which is a tilting of the truss element and thus prevents the tab, so that the retaining lug immersed in the guide recess remains. Since this blocking effect by the actuator, which in particular a set screw is, comes off, it can also be solved remove the adjusting screw. So if the set screw continues from the Pulled truss element, then the blocking effect can be canceled.
- the retaining lug is arranged and configured in this way, in that an exit from the guide recess can be blocked via the actuating element is. As long as the retaining lug by means of the adjusting element in the guide recess is held, the truss element with the hanging string can not be deducted from the holding body.
- the holding body arranged on this or formed in this.
- To this Way can be about the actuator as a set screw a dive Lock retaining lug from the guide recess, with this blocking itself is reached when the set screw is not in the thread guide itself is guided, but retracted relative to this in the direction of the bridge element is.

Represents it For example, out that the length of the secondary string are extended must, so the actuator 92 translationally in the direction of the holding device 58 postponed. As a result, the cross member 98 in this Direction taken relative to the holding body 44 and thus also the Einitatibogen 52, d. H. the distance of its apex 50 relative to the holding body 44 shortens. But since the position of the cross member 98 relative to the violin 10 is fixed, the holding device 58 is moved away from the web 36 and the secondary string 40 is extended.
- the actuator 92 is rotated in the opposite direction accordingly.
- the strings are under tension, thereby automatically the truss element 98 outwardly from the holding device 58, d. H. relative to the holding body 44, moved away so that the distance of the apex 50 to the holding device 58 increases and thus the length of the secondary string 40 shortened. Since the position of the cross member 98 is fixed relative to the violin 10, moves the holder 58 to the web 36 and the length of the secondary string 40 shortens.
- the arch parts 93 and 94 are with their associated holding elements 100 at the movement is guided in each of the recesses 88 and 90.
- By the Angled training of the side 116 is a buzzing of the hanging string 54th avoided.

- the bridge element 136 has an adapted to the tab 144 Recess 148, so that the cross member 142 with the tab 144 is displaceable relative to the bridge element 136, wherein a front End 150 of the tab 144 in the intermediate region between the retaining tab 134 and the bridge element 136 can dip.
- a front end 154 of the guide recess 138 defines a minimum distance of the vertex 50 of the suspension bow 52 to the holding body 132, there by the locking lug 152th abuts on this front end 154 and thus the further movement of the truss element 142 in the direction of the holding device 58 for the strings 24 of the Music instrument is locked. It is particularly provided that the
- the maximum distance of the apex 50 of the suspension bow 52 is thereby defines that the detent 152 at a rear end 156 of the guide recess 138 abuts.
- the removal of the cross member 142 with the hanging string 30 of the holding body 132 parallel to a guide direction of Guide recess 138 is thereby locked.
- a recess 160 formed between the bridge element 136 and a rear end 158 of the holding body 132 between the bridge element 136 and a rear end 158 of the holding body 132 is a recess 160 formed so that when the adjusting screw 92 is not above the Latch 152 is positioned, the cross member 142 in the recess 148 of the bridge element 136 to the bottom 140 of the holding body 132 to can be tilted so as to latch 153 from the guide recess 138th to be able to lift and then pass through the recess 148 to and thus the hanging string 54, which on the truss member 142nd is fixed to release from the holding body 132 ( Figure 6).
- the adjusting screw 92 If, however, the adjusting screw 92 is positioned so that it passes through the bridge element 136 is positioned above the tab 144, then locks this the tilting movement and thus can not be the detent 152 from the Tip out guide recess 138. This in turn is the truss element 142 with the hanging string 54 against detachment from the holding body 132 secured.
- This backup works regardless of whether the Adjusting screw 92 is held in the thread guide of the retaining tab 134 or not, as they are at a position above the tab 144 substantially only hinders the tilting movement.
- a guide recess 162 for the set screw 92 in the bridge element 136, the dimensions of the detent 152 and the guide recess 138 and also the cross sections and the guide direction the adjusting screw 92 are adapted accordingly to this To ensure backup function.
- the tailpiece works with the holding body 132 as well as described above.
