  1. Gluing station for a machine (1) for producing letter covers, envelopes (2) and/or despatch bags and the like, which each have a closure flap (3) wherein the gluing station (8, 8a) serves for application of adhesive (9), particularly in the form of pressure-sensitive adhesive, to the closure flaps (3) and wherein the adhesive (9) after application is covered by a protective strip (10) protecting until use and wherein at least two devices (11, 11a, 12) for application of different adhesive (9) are provided, characterised in that selectably one device (11, 12) serves for application of different adhesive (9) and that the respective device (11 or 12), which is not required, during operation of the other device (11 or 12) is removable to sufficient extent from the path of movement of the products to be provided with adhesive (9).
  2. Gluing station according to claim 1, characterised in that the device (11, 12) is pivotable into the working position and is pivotable out of the working position.
  3. Gluing station according to at least one of the preceding claims, characterised in that the device (11, 12) serving for application of adhesive (9) can be pivoted upwardly.
  4. Gluing station according to at least one of the preceding claims, characterised in that at least one nozzle (15, 15a), which operates in the cycle of the machine (1), for hot-melt-type adhesive or hot glue is provided and directly or indirectly applies hot-melt-type adhesive or hot glue to the closure flap (3) while the other device (12) is pivoted out of its working position.
  5. Gluing station according to at least one of the preceding claims, characterised in that the nozzle (15) delivers the hot-melt-type adhesive or hot glue to a transfer element (16), from which the adhesive (9) is then transferred to the letter cover, envelope (2) or despatch bag.
  6. Gluing station according to claim 5, characterised in that the transfer element (16) is a transfer roller.
  7. Gluing station according to claim 5, characterised in that the transfer element is a transfer belt (16b).
