Definitions
- the invention relates to a method for producing a non-stick coating with a low-adhesion surface as well as the non-stick coating itself and uses of this non-stick coating.
- a non-stick coating is within the scope of the present invention to understand a layer structure
- the layer structure according to the invention is such that it is, for example, for rollers or others Machine parts in the adhesive, rubber and / or paint processing Industry is particularly well suited. This is particularly relevant where certain Surface areas, for example of labels, adhesive tapes, Diapers and other products of paper, glue, lacquer and Rubber industry, which should have the property that there is adhesive or other sticky media does not adhere; this allows targeted limited Adhesive areas are created while the neighboring areas can not stick. I.e. the adhesive or other sticky media can be applied mechanically in a targeted and localized manner.
- the appropriately coated tools such as rollers in the Paper industry for the production of multilayer or laminated paper remain glue-free.
- Non-stick coatings of the type mentioned are known. she based on the so-called lotus effect. Certain plant leaves, namely the leaves of the lotus flower (Nelumbo nucitera), are not smooth in the microscopic range, but they have a surface with regular micro surveys. This configuration ensures that water drops when pearls off Pick up and remove dirt particles. This ensures that the surface of the leaf of the lotus flower is always kept clean becomes.
- surface coatings are made using fluoroplastics (e.g. Teflon) known to result in a harder surface to lead.
- fluoroplastics e.g. Teflon
- the fluoroplastic is placed on a carrier layer elevated temperatures (approx. 400 ° C) sintered to a stable Get composite.
- this will make the surface of the substrate smooth; a lotus effect cannot be obtained in this way.
- EP 0 485 801 B1 discloses a heat exchanger which has a Has a plurality of plate-shaped ribs. On the rib surface is a mixture applied, which consists of a silicone resin compound containing solution and finely divided inorganic particles. Silicone is used as the base layer. Still there provided that the surface of the layer was distributed regularly Has micro surveys.
- DE 36 44 211 A1 discloses a method for producing a Soleplate. Through the sequence of different process steps becomes a metallic carrier substrate with a low-adhesion Provide plastic surface that is as smooth as possible and is sealed. An organic type binder is used for sealing used.
- the invention is therefore based on the object of providing a method for producing a non-stick coating and a non-stick coating which avoids the aforementioned disadvantages and at the same time maintains the advantages described.
- the non-stick coating should therefore have the lotus effect, ie have the double structure with micro elevations. At the same time, however, the coating should be resistant to solvents and corrosion and also suitable for use in the food industry.
- the idea of the invention is based on the fact that on a Substrate, the surface of which can be structured or obtains a surface structure by applying a base layer, a plastic layer is applied. This layer has a microstructure on, whereby these are introduced into the plastic material Storage is held in position. A run of the Surface that would make it smooth is found by adding the Components not taking place.
- the ingredients that work best in this regard are preferably used silicon carbide (SiC) or similar materials, the Polyphenylene sulfide (PPS) and / or the polyamide (PA). These components ensure that even in a sintering process there is an equalization the surface does not reveal, but that this the microstructure maintains.
- the base layer will applied to the substrate so that they are largely regular Has surface structure.
- the main plastic material used for the coating is fluoropolymer in question.
- fluoropolymer are in particular polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) to a mixture (PFA) of tetrafluoroethylene and fluorovenyl ether or tetrafluoroethylene / hexafluoropropylene copolymer (FEP).
- PTFE polytetrafluoroethylene
- PFA tetrafluoroethylene
- FEP tetrafluoroethylene / hexafluoropropylene copolymer
- a particularly hard bond results if the layer is made of plastic material sintered on the substrate or on the base layer becomes.
- the sintering process is preferred at one temperature performed, in which the plastic material of the layer on the The substrate or the base layer melts, but not yet elapses; a temperature comes for this for the materials mentioned between 340 ° C and 400 ° C in question.
- the sintering process itself lasts between 3 and 60 minutes.
- a stable and resistant coating also results with a corresponding one Pretreatment of the base layer.
- This is benefited by HVOF (High Velocity Oxygen Fuel), plasma, flame spray or arc spraying applied.
- HVOF High Velocity Oxygen Fuel
- plasma flame spray or arc spraying applied.
- the base layer can be nub-like become.
- the substrate well In order to prepare the substrate well, it is envisaged that this will be done before the application of the base layer or before the application of the layer is sandblasted from plastic material. Alternatively, it can be etched.
- the non-stick coating is between the substrate and the layer a base layer arranged from plastic material; this has one largely regular surface structure.
- the plastic material is preferably again a fluoropolymer, namely polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE), a mixture (PFA) of tetrafluoroethylene and fluorovinyl ether, tetrafluoroethylene / hexafluoropropylene copolymer (FEP) or a mixture of at least two components of PTFE, PFA and FEP.
- a fluorinated vinyl ether is, for example, a perfluorinated vinyl ether of the formula in question.
- Silicon carbide (SiC) or similar materials are suitable as inorganic constituents; Polyphenylene sulfide (PPS), polyamide (PA) and / or other heat-stable plastics are preferably provided as organic constituents.
- the grain size of the components is advantageously between 2 and 200 ⁇ m; they are preferably added in a proportion of 3 to 30 percent by weight in the plastic material.
- the base layer can be made of steel, in particular of chromium-nickel steel, or from ceramic material, in particular from tungsten carbide or aluminum oxide, consist; it should preferably have a roughness of 1 to 30 ⁇ m Have RA. Furthermore, it can have a knob-like design.
- the substrate can consist of metal, ceramic or plastic and have a roughness of 3 to 20 ⁇ m RA.
- Layers over the surface of the substrate between 25 and 100 microns amount, preferably 50 microns.
- the proposed non-stick coating is preferably used as a surface material used for rollers for processing adhesives.
- it is thought of for applying rollers for the application of Use adhesives on foils or paper.
- advantageous applications for rollers for the application of adhesives on defined areas of diapers are used.
- the coating with advantage for rollers for the application of adhesives Rubber surfaces, especially tires are used.
- Another preferred use is the use with rollers for the application of adhesives in the food industry.
- Figure 1 is a layer structure with a low-adhesion surface outlined.
- the non-stick coating 1 is extremely resistant to adhesion of adhesives and other sticky media.
- the layer structure is used especially for rollers for processing adhesives.
- the layer structure 1 consists of a substrate 2 as a carrier element. This substrate 2 must first be degreased before further processing become; then it can be pretreated with a sandblast to get a ensure good adhesion of the subsequent layers. On the A base layer 3 is then applied to substrate 2.
- the base layer can consist of metallic or ceramic material and through Flame spraying, arc spraying, plasma or high speed spraying be applied.
- the base layer 3, as can be clearly seen from FIG. 1, has a knob-like one Surface structure 4.
- a layer 5 is then made on this Plastic applied.
- a fluoroplastic is preferred for this used, the components in the form of silicon carbide (SiC) or similar materials, polyphenylene sulfide (PPS) or polyamide (PA) added are.
- the grain size of the ingredients (additives) is in the case of Polyphenylene sulfide at approx. 30 ⁇ m; the grain size for silicon carbide at approx. 3 ⁇ m.
- the components mentioned in the fluoroplastic are in an amount of about 20 percent by weight.
- the whole Layer structure which is applied to the substrate 2 has a height h from approx. 50 ⁇ m.
- the fluoroplastic is then sintered in at approx. 360 ° C. This creates - as a result of the additives - a microstructure as enlarged for that Detail "A" of FIG. 1 is shown in FIG. 2. As can be seen, points the surface of the plastic layer 5 a variety of evenly distributed Micro surveys 6. These effect the one described at the beginning Lotus effect.
- FIG. 3 A configuration corresponding to FIG. 1 is outlined in FIG. 3. It can be seen here that on the surface substrate 2 - without intermediate or base layer 3 - directly applied the layer of plastic material is.
- the water contact angle is the angle that the flanks of a resting one Form water drops at the point of contact with the surface. The larger the angle, the better the non-stick effect of the material.
- the non-stick coating described comes - as already mentioned - mainly used in deflection rollers in the adhesive industry, e.g. B. for the production of adhesive films (Tesa film). Furthermore, by the use of such appropriately prepared rollers in the manufacture of diapers the area to be provided with adhesive from the area to be kept clear Areas are delimited. Furthermore, there is a multitude other areas of application conceivable (e.g. paper and film production, Printing industry, rubber processing etc.).
