Abstract

The heald frame (1), for a loom, has upper and lower profiled rails (6,7) to hold the healds (10) by guides (13,14) at the heald ends. A limit stop (15,16) of a damping material is at least at one end of the heald (10). The gap between the limit stop (15,16) and the end of the heald (10) is smaller than the gap between the surface of the profiled rail (6,7) towards the limit stop (15,16) and the end of the guides (13,14). Limit stops (15,16) are mounted at both ends of the healds (10). The limit stop (15,16) is a bar, at an upper and/or lower lateral strut (4,5) of the frame (4,5) for the heald frame (1). The lateral struts (4,5) have a holder (18) for the limit stop (15,16). At least one profiled rail (6,7) has an adjustable mounting at least at one lateral strut (4,5), along the line of the healds (10). The limit stops (15,16) can be adjusted along the heald (10) line. The limit stops (15,16) are bars of a pref. rubber elastic plastics material.

Description

Webschaft für eine Webmaschine Heald frame for a weaving machine
The invention relates to a heald frame for a loom, which is provided with an upper and a lower profile rail for holding strands, which are held on the profile rails by means of guide elements provided in the region of their ends.
Several heald frames of this type form a so-called shaft device. The individual heald frames of this heald device are alternately raised and lowered according to predefinable patterns by means of a dobby machine, in order to form weaving compartments by means of warp threads guided by the strands, into which weft threads are inserted. Usually, the profile rails and the guide elements of the strands are designed in such a way that in one direction of movement of the heald frame one of the profile rails with a driving surface lies against a counter surface of the guide elements of the strands and takes these strands along. In the other direction of movement, the other profile rail with a driving surface takes along a counter surface of the guide elements of the strands assigned to it. Since the strands and also the heald frames expand under the influence of heat and forces exerted by warp threads and because certain manufacturing tolerances have to be provided for both and because the strands along the profile rails must be displaceable, for example to enable the insertion or repair of warp threads, a play in the order of 2 mm to 3 mm is provided for the strands between the driving surfaces of the profile rails and the counter surfaces of the guide elements. When the heald frames move up and down, the healds move by these 2 mm to 3 mm relative to the heald frames. These movements end with impacts, which on the one hand cause noise and on the other hand also cause vibrations in the strands. Particularly at high weaving speeds, these movements and, above all, the vibrations they cause can lead to breakage of the healds and / or the heald frames and / or the warp threads.
In order to avoid these problems, it is known (WO 97/23396) to reduce the play between the strands and the profile rails in that one of the profile rails is assigned one or more inserts which define the distance between the driving surfaces of this profile rail and the counter surfaces Fill the guide elements of the strands down to a small play of the order of 1 mm. These inserts are made of plastic, so that damping is also obtained. This reduces noise and the risk of damage, but there are certain disadvantages with regard to operation. Since the play of the strands in their longitudinal direction is reduced, the displaceability of the strands in their longitudinal direction and in the longitudinal direction of the profiled rails is restricted. This can lead to the operator being somewhat hampered during the repair of a thread break and possibly even deforming the strands during the repair.
The invention has for its object to reduce noise and also the risk of damage due to vibration of the strands. This object is achieved in that at least one end of the strands is assigned a stop made of a material with damping property, and in that the distance between this stop and the facing end of the strands is smaller than the distance between the surfaces of the profiled rails facing away from the stop and the ends of the leadership elements.
In this configuration, the strands are taken at least in one 'direction from the damping stop or abut these stop damping in one direction, so that already thus the noise is considerably reduced. In addition, damping is applied at least when being carried in one direction or when struck in one direction, so that the generation of vibrations of the strands is substantially reduced. This reduction in the generation of noise and the risk of vibrations is obtained even if a larger play is provided, ie a play of 2 mm to 3 mm or possibly more, so that the relative displaceability of the strands in the longitudinal direction of the profiles and also in their longitudinal direction is not restricted. It is up to the person skilled in the art to use the design of the game to reduce the risk of noise and the resulting development in favor of the mobility or displaceability of the strands or to accept a little more noise generation and a little more risk of vibrations in favor of better mobility of the strands ,
It is preferably provided that stops are assigned to both ends of the strands. In this preferred embodiment, the strands are carried along and abutted against the driving elements exclusively at the stops made of damping material. The profile rails are only used for lateral guidance. The play of the strands in their longitudinal direction can thus be chosen almost arbitrarily, ie relatively small, with correspondingly unfavorable displaceability and longitudinal mobility, or relatively large, with correspondingly good displaceability and longitudinal mobility. Further features and advantages of the invention result from the following description of the exemplary embodiments shown in the drawing.

The heald frame 1 shown in FIG. 1 is a frame made of two side struts 2, 3 and two cross struts 4, 5. In the region of the mutually facing sides of the cross struts 4, 5, profile rails 6, 7 are fastened by means of holding elements 8. These rails 6, 7 are used to receive lamellar strands 10, each of which is provided with a thread eye 12 in its center for receiving a warp thread. The strands 10 are guided by means of guide elements 13, 14 on the profile rails 6, 7. The profile rails 6, 7 are e.g. provided at their ends with end stops 11 to prevent the strands 10 from sliding down.
The ends of the strands 10 are assigned strip-like stops 15, 16 which are attached to the cross struts 4, 5 and which cause the strands 10 to be carried along, as will be explained with reference to FIGS. 2 and 3. The guide elements 13, 14 of the lamella-like strands 10 are dimensioned relative to the profile rails 6, 7 so that the profile rails 6, 7 guide the lamellae 10 only in the transverse direction, but do not have a driving function when lifting or lowering. The holder 8 of the profile rails 6, 7 are fastened by means of screws 9 to the cross struts 4, 5, which engage in elongated holes 17 (FIGS. 2 and 3) of the holder 8, which extend in the longitudinal direction of the strands 10. The position of the profile rails 6, 7 in the longitudinal direction of the slats 10 relative to the cross struts 4, 5 can thus be adjusted.
When the heald frame is raised in the direction of arrow A above the central shed position or is in its upper end position, the lower ends of the strands 10 rest against the strip-shaped stop 16, as shown in FIG. 2. If the heald frame is lowered in the direction of arrow B in accordance with FIG. 3, the strands 10 change their relative position in the region of the central compartment position and suddenly or abruptly reach the strip-shaped stop 15 with their upper end. Since the strip-shaped stop 15, 16 is made of a plastic with a damping effect Property exists, the shock or shock is braked and damped, so that on the one hand a considerable reduction in noise occurs, while on the other hand the risk of damage due to vibrations of the strand 10 is reduced. If the heald frame is then raised again in the direction of arrow A in accordance with FIG. 2, the strands 10 in the area of the middle compartment change their position again abruptly due to the warp thread tension, after which they rest with their lower end on the lower, strip-shaped stop 16. The carrying of the strands 10 and their path limitation in their longitudinal direction thus takes place exclusively by means of the strip-like stops 15, 16 made of plastic with damping properties. The game with which the strands 10 can move relative to the upper cross strut 4 and the lower cross strut 5 can thus be chosen to be relatively large without increasing the risk of increased noise and / or damage. The choice of a relatively large clearance facilitates the possibility of displacing the strands 10 in the longitudinal direction of the profile rails 6, 7 and also in their longitudinal direction relative to the profile rails 6, 7 relocate, which is an advantage for an operator when eliminating a warp thread break.
In diesem Fall ist es zweckmäßig, jeweils die den Litzen 10 abgewandten Seiten der leistenartigen Anschläge 15, 16 mittels einer Verstärkungsschiene zu unterstützen.2 and 3, the upper cross strut 4 and the lower cross strut 5 are provided with a receptacle 18, which has the shape of a longitudinal groove, for example. The strip-shaped stops 15, 16 are inserted into this receptacle 18 and fixed, for example, by gluing. Such a receptacle 18 is recommended when new heald frames are designed according to the invention. However, if existing heald frames are converted in accordance with the invention, other means can also be provided for attaching the strip-shaped stops 15, 16. These can be attached to the cross struts 4, 5, for example by means of holding elements, so that they rest on the opposite edges. In addition, however, it is also possible to provide holding elements which are attached to the cross struts 4, 5 at a distance from them. In this case, it is expedient to support the sides of the strip-like stops 15, 16 facing away from the strands 10 by means of a reinforcing rail.
As shown in the exemplary embodiment according to FIGS. 4 and 5, a substantial improvement is obtained if a strip-shaped stop 15 is provided on one side only, ie in the exemplary embodiment on the upper cross strut 4. In this case the strands 10 are raised 4 by means of a driving surface of the upper profile rail 6, which lies opposite a counter surface of the upper guide element 13 '. In this exemplary embodiment, the lower profile rail 7 only serves to guide the strand 10 ′ in the transverse direction. 4 and 5, the guide elements 13 ', 14' of the strands 10 'in the direction of the holders 8 are open, so that the displaceability of the strands 10' in the region of the holders 8 is not impeded. In a modified embodiment, it is provided that the profile rail 6 and that assigned to it Guide element 13 'are dimensioned such that they move only one guide in the transverse direction, while the strands 10' are carried for lifting by means of the lower profile rail 7, which then bears with a driving surface on a counter surface of the guide element 14 '. Of course, it is also possible to provide a strip-shaped stop only in the region of the lower ends of the strands 10 ′, for example a stop 16 corresponding to the exemplary embodiment according to FIGS. 2 and 3.
