Abstract

Selon l'invention, un utilisateur de station mobile (10) désirant obtenir une information compose un numéro prédéterminé afin d'obtenir cette information. L'appel est acheminé vers un serveur (12) à réponse vocale interactive (IVR) et une base de données associée (14) via un réseau de communications téléphoniques (20). Le serveur IVR (12) est lui-même connecté à plusieurs ordinateurs (16) sur un second réseau (18). La base de données (14) stocke la relation entre de nombreux numéros de téléphone et de nombreuses adresses IP des ordinateurs (16). Pour une demande d'information, l'utilisateur compose un numéro de téléphone, et l'appel téléphonique est acheminé au serveur IVR (12). Le serveur IVR (12) utilise l'adresse IP correspondante afin d'envoyer un message à l'ordinateur distant (16). Le message comporte le numéro de la station mobile (10). L'ordinateur distant (16) obtient l'information recherchée à partir d'un dispositif mémoire associé et envoie, à la station mobile (10), un message contenant l'information en utilisant le protocole de service de message court (SMS).
