- Such a binding is known for example from WO-A-9739808.
- a soft boot binding with a lanyard that is made of consists of several parts and has a clamping device through which the Tension straps contracted after entering the binding and thus the shoe is pressed onto the base plate of the binding.
- It is a calf support provided that is rotatable on side parts of the base plate about a transverse axis.
- This calf support is provided with side parts, each on its front Area have a locking projection which, in the closed position, the Driving position, of locking lugs of pivoted on the base plate Locking hook is gripped. This will help the calf support against unwanted swiveling back secured.
- the calf support can be used with one of of the shoe sole can be provided with a tread element, so that when you get in the binding automatically swings the calf support into and out of its driving position Position locked automatically.
- a step-in binding for snowboards is known from AT-B-404 898, in which am Sole region of the shoe arranged holding elements with holding elements Interact binding and can be releasably engaged with them.
- a such binding is usually also with one in the driving and the Entry position swivel calf support provided around the leg of the Support snowboarders.
- the calf supports While driving, the calf supports are generally cup-shaped molded plastic parts, optionally with padding, are high and also exposed to changing loads. Locking devices that holding the calf supports in the driving position therefore have the advantage that they help to absorb the forces that occur.
- US-A-5,899,483 Known binding is the lock for the calf support in the Driving position coupled with the binding lock, what a special Execution and coordination of the interacting components required.
- the invention is based on the object, with a binding of the beginning to ensure that the calf support and the Kickbar can withstand all loads that occur when driving, whereby no separate locking mechanism for the calf support may be required should.
- the desired solution should also enable the calf support to be able to use different binding systems.
- the object is achieved according to the invention in that the calf support in the driving position, with the tread element under load, below its swivel axis support parts arranged in a binding manner against pivoting into the Entry position is supportable and due to relief of the tread element to Lifting the support, relative to its pivot axis, in particular is automatic, movable.
- the support of the calf support provided according to the invention takes up forces on and therefore prevents the occurrence of forces that the calf support and the Can overload the tread element. Due to the movable arrangement of the The calf support is released and the support is released when the tread element is relieved brought the calf support into its entry position.
- the proposed mechanism or the components provided according to the invention are completely independent of the holding elements of the binding and / or the shoe and can also be offside these holding elements are housed or arranged.
