- Thermal printing plates are advantageous because they do not require chemical development after exposure, are environmentally friendly and can be used for printing immediately after exposure.
- Burn-off residues that get into the exposure path of a laser beam cause energy losses and thus generate exposure errors. After a long period of operation, burn-up residues can cause all possible unpredictable malfunctions by being deposited on various functional units in the exposure device. Burn-off residues that adhere to the exposed printing plate are transferred from the imagesetter to a pressure roller used for the clamping process when the printing plate is unclamped, and can then be transferred from the same pressure roller to the new printing plate when a new printing plate is clamped. - 2 -
