Definitions
- the invention relates to an outer door for use as a second access to a garage, in particular side door, with a frame and a door leaf, which is so on the frame can be attached so that it can be opened into the interior of the room to be locked is pivotable, the frame having frame spars formed by metal profiles, and wherein the door leaf is formed from a composite of metal profiles, preferably load-bearing, door leaf frame, in or on which one from an assortment panel-shaped door panel panel selected from door panel panels is attached.
- Such doors are, for example, as side doors with the same appearance as a garage door on the market.
- Side doors to garage doors on the market have a frame a frame for anchoring the side door in a wall opening. With such frames is a closed frame made of metal profiles, which one in the soffit opening engaging central section, one on the edge of the wall opening attacking outer section and an inner serving as a stop for the door Have section. Because such side doors are visually designed as a garage door the door leaf of such side doors is usually similar to a garage door built up. For example, so-called berry gates are on the market, their rigid ones Door leaves as a whole from a substantially vertical closed position to a substantially swivel the horizontal opening position.
- the door leaf of such Berry gates exists from a door leaf frame made of metal profiles and a filling inserted therein.
- the building owner can choose filling from an assortment himself.
- the same structure then have corresponding side doors to such Berry gates.
- the door leaves are there made up of a door leaf frame with a door panel attached to it or attached to it.
- the door panel usually has a smaller thickness than the door leaf frame, so that the outer dimensions the door can be determined essentially by the door leaf frame. To this way, the same frames and the same can be used for all different door leaf panels Frames are used.
- the frame bars have stop profile areas with sealing strips, against which the door leaf strikes when the door is closed.
- the stop occurs at the sides of the door leaf frame running parallel to the door leaf level.
- the object of the invention is to provide an outer door of the type mentioned, which is easy to use as an inward pivoting outer door.
- the invention is also applicable to a wicket in a garage door leaf trained outside door.
- the frame would be part of the garage door leaf.
- the outer door according to the invention is preferred as a side door for use alongside formed a garage door, the frame then as a frame for anchoring the Outside door is formed in the wall opening.
- the weather protection strip on the lower horizontal is for draining off precipitation Door leaf frame spar attached. From this it extends according to more preferred Embodiment of the invention with the door closed on the weather-affected side beyond a doorstep.
- the precipitation is on the weather side - d. H. usually the outside - headed beyond the threshold.
- the Weather or rain protection strip - for example in a flexible version - with its lower edge can be formed deeper than the upper edge of the door sill. It is enough but also off if the weather protection strip is above the threshold, but from this starting outward offset ends. Precipitation then flows from the weather protection strip in the area outside the door sill and can due to the after Do not flow the door threshold above into the interior of the garage.
- the threshold can, for example, by the lower horizontal frame spar and / or be formed by a lower sealing strip provided thereon.
- a lower sealing strip is fastened to the lower frame spar, for example, and forms part of it up the threshold.
- a sealing strip is attached to the lower frame spar to form the door sill.
- the door leaf frame is still on its peripheral sides, or at least on its lower Side underside, formed with an elevation extending in the circumferential direction.
- the sealing strip forming the door leaf threshold is particularly effective against intrusion of moisture if this sealing strip in the vicinity of such an elevation in the door closing state is arranged parallel to this.
- the lower sealing strip in the survey but it is enough because such external doors for garages in As a rule, there are no great demands on tightness or heat protection also from if the lower door gap z. B. only narrowed but not interrupted becomes.
- the door according to the invention and / or its door leaf is in a preferred embodiment with respect the horizontal center line is symmetrical. This has the advantage that the door leaf can either be used with an internal or external stop or else can either be attached to the frame on the left or right.
- the outer door according to the invention optionally for operation with the inside or outwardly pivoting door leaf can be set up and / or installed.
- the lower frame spar or both are horizontal Frame spars of the frame completely and / or partially removably arranged on the frame.
- a predetermined breaking point for breaking the Stop profile area provided. The rest of the frame spar stabilizes still the frame. The sealing strip mentioned above can then on the outside facing edge of the remaining part of the lower frame spar attached become.
- the lower frame spar is preferably attached to the frame at points, for example welded. By removing the point fixation - for example, drilling out the welding points - the lower frame spar can then be easily moved from the frame to the Remove the lower stop profile area, if on site in the floor area no lower frame spar is desired, for example no threshold is desired.
- the weather protection strip is preferably L-shaped in cross section.
- the angle between the L-profile webs are preferably blunt. This allows the weather protection strip to be used Attach one of the L-profile legs to the lower door leaf frame spar, the other L-profile legs pointing obliquely downwards and outwards to the precipitation of to lead away the door leaf.
