  • the said guiding means 12 may be a roller that can be displaced from the position 12A up to the position 12B through intermediate positions, such as the position 12C, as illustrated in Figs. 7, 9 and 8, respectively. From the displacement of the said guide means 12 between the various positions there is obtained an arc of contact that is different between the material T and the peripheral surface of the roller: the arc I1-U of Fig. 7 is smaller than the arc 12-U of Fig. 8 and smaller still than the arc I3-U of Fig.9.
  • the same function may be achieved by modifying the output point U with respect to the start-of-contact point of the material with the peripheral surface of the roller 1.
  • the amplitude of said arc of contact may also be modified by simultaneously varying the positions of the two points In and U with respect to the position of the axes Y-Y which are inclined with respect to the axis X-X.
  • the perimetral surface of the disk-like elements which exerts a contact friction with the material instead of consisting of the surface 57B shown in Figs. 1 to 4, may consist of a series of pins or bristles 157 which have a basically radial orientation and start from the periphery of each of the disk-like elements 105.

  • Figs. 11, 12 and 13 show other embodiments, in which the roller has a number of sections with different shapes, among which at least one smooth section and/or sections with disk-like elements having different inclinations.
  • the invention makes it possible to achieve the advantages mentioned at the beginning of the present description, with the further possibility of adjustment even during operation of a machine, in order to vary the amount of transverse spreading-out of the material that reaches the roller 1 and is more or less deviated by the said roller.

Claims (9)

  1. Rouleau d'élargissement transversal ou tige d'augmentation pour des matériaux en bande, tels que les films, tissus ou similaires, entraînés en partie autour du rouleau, qui comprend des surfaces ou saillies conçues pour agir transversalement dans des directions opposées sur le matériau qui passe dessus, comprenant des éléments en forme de disque (5), dont chacun possède une surface périphérique (57B) qui est conçue pour exercer un frottement de contact avec le matériau et tourne autour de son propre axe, les axes de rotation desdits éléments en forme de disque (5) étant inclinés par rapport à l'axe (X-X) du rouleau, et dans lequel chacun desdits éléments en forme de disque (5) est monté sur un arbre (3) au moyen de paliers à roulement ou de paliers lisses (53), qui sont supportés par des noyaux (51) disposés sur ledit arbre (3), les noyaux (51), et donc les éléments en forme de disque (5) dans leur ensemble étant montés de manière à ce que leurs axes (Y-Y), qui sont inclinés par rapport à l'axe (X-X) du rouleau d'un angle A, se trouvent tous sur un seul et même plan géométrique diamétral de l'arbre (3), caractérisé en ce que lesdits noyaux (51) sont raccordés ensemble au moyen d'un engagement angulaire mutuel et sont mobiles angulairement autour dudit arbre (3), de sorte que le plan géométrique qui contient les axes (Y-Y) des noyaux individuels (51) puisse être correctement orienté autour de l'axe (X-X) du rouleau.
  2. Rouleau d'élargissement selon la revendication 1, caractérisé en ce que les axes de rotation (Y-Y) desdits éléments en forme de disque (5) se trouvent dans un seul et même plan géométrique qui passe par l'axe (X-X) du rouleau.
  3. Rouleau d'élargissement selon la revendication 1 ou 2, caractérisé en ce que les axes de rotation (Y-Y) desdits éléments en forme de disque sont parallèles l'un à l'autre.
  4. Rouleau d'élargissement selon au moins l'une des revendications 1 à 3, caractérisé en ce que lesdits éléments en forme de disque ont leurs bords périphériques faits d'un matériau élastique.
  5. Rouleau d'élargissement selon au moins l'une des revendications 1 à 3, caractérisé en ce que lesdits éléments en forme de disque ont des bords périphériques faits d'un matériau ayant un coefficient de frottement élevé.
  6. Rouleau d'élargissement selon au moins l'une des revendications 1 à 5, caractérisé en ce que lesdits éléments en forme de disque ont des bords périphériques constitués de composants filiformes tels que des crins, des picots ou des éléments équivalents.
  7. Rouleau d'élargissement selon au moins l'une des revendications 1 à 6, caractérisé en ce que le bord périphérique possède un développement conique.
  8. Rouleau d'élargissement selon au moins l'une des revendications 1 à 7, comprenant des moyens de guidage destinés à guider le matériau en bande arrivant en direction et à distance dudit rouleau, caractérisé en ce que la position d'au moins l'un desdits moyens de guidage peut être réglée pour modifier l'amplitude et/ou la position de l'arc de contact du matériau en bande sur la surface périphérique des éléments en forme de disque constituant le rouleau, par rapport à l'inclinaison des éléments en forme de disque.
  9. Rouleau d'élargissement selon au moins l'une des revendications précédentes, caractérisé en ce que le rouleau comprend des sections formées par des disques et au moins une section lisse.
