Definitions

  • the invention relates to a built-in valve for a sectional radiator, with a housing which passes through the first link, carries a valve seat which cooperates with a closure piece which can be actuated from the outside, and has an inlet channel starting from the housing periphery and an outlet channel leading to the second link ,
  • Such a cartridge valve is known from DE 43 30 149 AI. Since it is connected to the flow, it controls the flow of the heat transfer medium from the first link to the second link and thus all other links of the radiator.
  • the housing has an inlet channel, which consists of a radial bore and an axial bore leading to the valve seat.
  • the outlet channel is formed by a through hole which connects the space next to the closure piece with the end face of the housing facing the second link.
  • the housing therefore has a very complicated structure and is expensive to manufacture.
  • the invention has for its object to provide a cartridge valve of the type described above, which has a simpler structure and can therefore be manufactured more cost-effectively.
  • the closure piece is relieved of pressure
  • the inlet channel is provided on the side next to the closure piece and in that the outlet channel connects to the valve seat on the side facing away from the closure piece.
  • the closure piece is relieved of pressure, preferably undergoes a complete pressure equalization, the inlet channel can be arranged laterally with a small length and connect the outlet channel centrally to the valve seat. This results in a simple and inexpensive construction. You can even use a large part of the housing and socket parts produced for existing valves. As a result of the pressure relief, thermostatic actuators with a lower actuating force and therefore small dimensions can be used.
  • a particularly effective pressure relief with regard to the outlet pressure results from the fact that the closure piece, on its side facing away from the valve seat, engages in a sealed manner in a cylinder space, the effective pressure area of which is essentially equal to the area enclosed by the valve seat, and that the cylinder space with the space inside the Valve seat is connected.
  • closure piece be penetrated by at least one pressure relief channel.
  • the closure piece has an area in which its cross section increases towards the valve seat, and that an annular flange arranged near the end face of the closure piece facing away from the valve seat partially overlaps this area and is loaded by the pressure acting on the area. Taking into account the overlap area of the valve seat and the closure piece, this allows an extensive or complete pressure relief also on the inlet side. A further improvement is obtained in that a circumferential groove is connected upstream of the valve seat.
  • a cutout in the housing wall is advantageously provided to form the inlet channel. This leads to a very simple construction with a short inlet channel.
  • the housing have a tube adjoining the valve seat in order to form the outlet channel.
  • This tube can have a comparatively large diameter and therefore reduce the throttling losses.
  • the tube prefferably has a plate at the free end with a washer seal for bearing against a sleeve connecting a first and a second link.
  • a washer seal for bearing against a sleeve connecting a first and a second link.
  • the tube has a ring seal on the circumference for insertion into a first and second link connecting sleeve. This only requires a sleeve with a cylindrical inner circumference.
  • the housing has a screw-in part and an extension attached to it, which comprises at least the valve seat and the outlet channel. While maintaining the screw-in part, different extensions can be used which are specially adapted to the respective application.
  • the extension consists of plastic.
  • the plastic can easily be brought into the desired shape by spraying or by subsequent processing.
  • FIG. 1 shows a partial cross section through a built-in cartridge valve according to the invention
  • Fig. 2 shows a section through a modified form of the cartridge valve
  • FIG. 3 is an enlarged view of area A in FIG. 2nd
  • a sectional heater 1 has a plurality of links 2, 3, which are connected to one another by means of sleeves 4, some of which have left-hand threads and some have right-hand threads.
  • the cavity 5 of the first link 2 is provided at the lower end with a flow connection.
  • a built-in valve 6 controls the transition of the heat transfer medium from the cavity 5 to the cavity 7 of the second link 3, which has several return links with the return connection connected is. Arrows 8 and 9 indicate the course of the flow.
  • the cartridge valve 6 is held by a screw bushing 10 on the end face of the first link 2. It has a housing 11 which has a screw-in part 12 and an extension 13. The screw-in part 12 is connected to the socket 10 via a thread 14 and to the extension 13 via a thread 15.
  • the extension has a valve seat 16 which cooperates with a closure piece 17, which has pressure relief channels 18 and is actuated by a thermostatic attachment 20 via a valve tappet 19. Further features which bring about pressure relief are described in connection with FIGS. 2 and 3.

  • the sealing washer 24 When screwing in the cartridge valve, the sealing washer 24 is therefore pressed in a sealing manner against the end face of the sleeve 4. Between the closure piece 18 and the peripheral wall of the housing 11 there is still a presetting bush 25 which can be rotated with the aid of the adjusting ring 26 in order to preset the k v value of the valve.
  • the built-in valve 106 has a housing 111, which has a screw-in part 112 with a thread 114, and an extension 113.
  • the extension 113 has the valve seat 116 and the outlet channel 122.
  • the inlet channel 121 is formed by a cutout in the housing wall.
  • a locking piece 117 is actuated from the outside via a plunger 119. be-
  • the housing 111 and the closure piece 117 have a presetting bush 125 which can be rotated with the aid of the rotary knob 126 and thereby more or less covers the inlet channel 121, which has the shape of a cutout of the housing wall.
  • valve tappet 119 is loaded by an opening spring 127 which is supported on the presetting bush.
  • outlet channel 122 is provided with an annular seal 123 on the circumference, so that it can be pushed into the cylindrical interior of a sleeve (not shown) which serves to connect two links.
  • closure piece 117 is preferably largely or completely relieved of pressure, so that the actuating forces to be exerted from the outside enable problem-free operation.
  • the closure piece 117 is penetrated by a plurality of pressure relief channels 118, which establish the connection to a cylinder chamber 128, the effective cross-sectional area of which is equal to that of the outlet channel 122, that is to say the area of the closure piece 117 that is located within the valve seat 116 and thus the outlet pressure.
  • the closure piece 117 has an area 129 which increases towards the valve seat 116
  • the valve seat 116 which is rounded in cross section, forms a kind of wall on the inside of a circumferential groove 132. In conjunction with the end face of the closure piece 117, this leads to an increase in pressure on the inlet side, which is identified by "++", and a decrease in pressure on the outlet side, which is marked by "-”. This eliminates fluttering or rattling of the closure piece, as occurs in particular in the case of closure pieces or valve seats made of elastic material.
  • the extension 13 or 113 can consist of metal or preferably of plastic. It can also be designed as a telescopically displaceable cylinder part with a built-in spring for the purpose of tolerance compensation. Many parts of the built-in valve 6 or 106 can match those of valves already on the market. This enables production in large series, so that the costs are also reduced as a result.
  • the elements of the radiator can also be welded to one another, eliminating the connecting sleeve 4.
