- the invention relates to a multi-pole electrical connector that Fastening in an opening of a housing wall, in particular a housing wall a light housing is provided.
- Such a connector is used, for example, in one Luminaire band or luminaire field.
- a link is created under the light strip understood by several lighting elements.
- Each of the lighting elements a light housing is assigned.
- the individual lighting elements are usually for electrical supply via a connection or branch line connected to a common supply line.
- the connecting line is via the multi-pin connector to the supply line connected.
- the connector which also acts as a connector distributor can usually be called, is in the immediate vicinity of the lamp element arranged and connects two line sections of the supply line together.
- the connector is preferably in an assembly opening attached to the light housing.
- the connector is not limited to use for a light strip. It is generally suitable for connecting electrical devices to a supply line, in particular in a house installation system.
- the connector distributor described here is in Cross-section seen T-shaped.
- the two sides of his cross leg each have a conductor connection, in the form of a plug pin on the one hand and on the other hand in the form of a socket for further connection with more lights.
- the plug pin and the socket form a connector system, with the help of two line sections of the supply line with each other get connected.
- the connector system has in particular system connectors that ensure error-free and easy connection.
- the incoming supply line is, for example, with the connector pins and the outgoing supply line is connected to the sockets.
- the longitudinal leg of the T-shaped plug distributor is a branch contact intended for connection to the respective lighting element.
- This Branch contact is in particular also designed as a system connector, which is a enables simple and quick connection of the lamp element.
- the known T-shaped connector is preferably part of a comprehensive Connection system for connecting lighting elements.
- This connection system is built according to the concept of "plug and play", so that on site when installing the lighting strip a simple and especially very quick installation is possible.
- connection connector usually arranged in an assembly opening in the rear wall of the light housing.
- the connection connector must be fastened in the assembly opening a certain amount of assembly work.
- EP 0 327 703 B1 describes a connection terminal for electrical devices such as Lights, stoves, washing machines, etc. can be found on the for assembly a terminal support is provided.
- This has an opening through which a stamped sheet metal part extends when the connection clamp is installed.
- This serves on the one hand to make a contacting connection with the terminal support to one To form protective conductor contact.
- the end faces of the stamped sheet metal part pressed against the opening edge of the opening.
- the sheet metal stamped bent part additionally secures the connection terminal on the terminal support.
- the arrangement of the sheet metal stamped bent part requires in a central area the connection terminal, which largely covers the terminal support got to.
- the invention has for its object a simple assembly of a connector to enable.
- a multi-pole electrical Connection connector that is used for fastening in a mounting opening Housing wall, in particular a housing wall of a light housing Has holding element, which is also designed as a protective conductor contact and a retaining spring with a bulge to form a rear grip with the Has housing wall.
- the holding element therefore initially has a double function. On the one hand, it serves as a fastener of the connector and on the other hand as Protective conductor contact by an electrically conductive connection to the light housing is made. Due to this double function, only one assembly step is necessary which previously required two assembly steps, namely on the one hand the attachment of the connector and on the other hand the connection of the Protective conductor contact with the housing. As a result, the assembly effort and the costs kept low.
- the retaining spring enables a particularly simple, safe and automatic Attachment of the connection connector in the assembly opening by simple Push. Due to the bulge, the retaining spring is in the manner of, for example Edge earthing bracket provided for protective contact sockets. So it encompasses the edge of the assembly opening.
- the retaining element on the edge of the connector can be provided and in the final assembly position between this and the Edge of the mounting opening can be arranged.
- the retaining spring is therefore stuck in In this case, insert the connector into the mounting opening and hold it there captive due to the design of the rear grip.
- the area of the assembly opening can be as large as or even be slightly larger than the cross-sectional area of the connector.
- connection terminal can be used again without a large one Effort can be removed from the assembly opening.
- the retaining spring is sharp-edged and / or profiled. Possibly existing layers of paint or oxidation layers are also penetrated.
- the retaining spring is preferably approximately U-shaped with two side legs, each side leg has a bulge to form a rear grip with the housing wall.
- the retaining spring is thus like a double Spring clip formed, which makes a particularly stable design and a particularly secure hold of the connection connector in the assembly opening is reached.
- the holding element has a protective conductor contact acting contact part with an outward towards the housing wall directed cutting element.
- the contact part is in particular as a component formed separately from the retaining spring, so that both the retaining spring and the contact part in particular with regard to their respective function can be configured appropriately.
- the cutting element and in particular the contact part together with the cutting element, held elastic.
- the elastic or resilient mounting serves the cutting element through a possibly existing layer of lacquer to push through.
- the contact part is independent of the retaining spring elastic. This makes their functions - namely, on the one hand Contacting function of the contact part and on the other hand the holding function of Retaining spring (which can also take over a contacting function) - guaranteed separately, regardless of the tolerance of the connector in relation to the assembly opening and independently on the sheet thickness of the housing wall.
- connection connector expediently points for its secure attachment a holding element in the mounting opening at least on two opposite sides on.
- the attachment is preferably exclusively from the holding elements taken over, and no further fasteners are necessary.
- the two are Holding elements with each other via a particularly H-shaped connecting bracket connected. Due to the double arrangement of the holding elements and their immediate The connection via an electrically conductive connection bracket is the Function of the protective contact designed redundantly. Even if one of the holding elements does not form a suitable contact with the housing wall Protective contact function guaranteed by the second holding element.
- the two holding elements are preferably simple to manufacture Design formed as a common, one-piece stamped and bent part. Before the stamping and bending process, the workpiece is approximately one in particular rectangular and flat metal piece formed. On its two opposite The end springs are each shaped as a U-shaped spring Bracket and the respective contact parts from the interior of the U-shaped Punched out and shaped temples.
- the connecting bracket is advantageously on a connector base platform arranged transversely, the holding elements on the edge of the Connector base platform are bent approximately at right angles. This is one good guidance and holding of the holding elements on the connector base platform having insulating housing achieved.
- the connecting bracket expediently comprises a clamping opening into which a contact pin of an associated protective conductor connection is inserted.
- the electrical connection between that provided by the contact part Protective conductor contact and one inserted into the connection connector Protective conductor is thus done in a simple manner by a plug-in clamp connection.
- a three-pin connector 2 has a first connector according to FIG. 1 4, which comprises a plug contact system.
- the plug contact system is used for simple and quick connection of the connector 2 with a not shown supply line via line connections. These are formed through sockets 8 on the output side and through opposite connector pins 12 on the entrance side.
