Definitions

  • the present invention relates to a device for carrying out jumps by successive leaps.
  • This patent describes a machine essentially comprising a tube inside which slides an impact rod whose deployment towards the ground is provided by means of a compression spring.
  • the improvement brought on this machine lies in the fact that the handlebar with handles and footrest wedges, fixed respectively at the upper and lower end of the tube by means of a pin, can rotate around the axis of the tube and are interconnected by through rigid metal rods. Such a configuration allows keep the handlebars and wedges almost horizontal, regardless of the inclination given to the impact rod.
  • the object of the invention is to overcome this drawback and propose a jumping craft of the type mentioned above that allows a user not warned to become familiar with the machine safely.
  • Another object of the invention is to provide a jumping apparatus which can be used in extreme conditions such as those of a sport competition.
  • the device is characterized by the fact that comprises means for braking the impact rod relative to the body and means for manually controlling said braking means arranged at the level of handlebar.
  • An unsuspecting user can thus, using the means of according to the invention, it is easier to control the jumping device and therefore make the first jumps safely.
  • the device according to the invention can be used in extreme conditions since the braking means can block instantly sliding of the impact rod relative to the body.
  • the footrest wedges are made in one only machined part provided with an axial passage adapted to receive by sliding the impact rod, said machined part being screwed to the lower end of the body tubular.
  • the handlebar is connected to the upper end of the body via a gallows.
  • the means resilient return means comprise a coil spring.
  • the braking means comprise at minus a friction surface adapted to come to rest radially against the rod.
  • the stem is hollow and the floating surface rubs inside of it.
  • the friction surface is advantageously a cylindrical ring made of elastomer.
  • the braking means comprise a sleeve adapted to deform the cylindrical ring radially.
  • the sleeve comprises in its lower part, legs each having an inclined pan, disposed of concentrically and around which the cylindrical ring is mounted in force.
  • a needle having a conical head is inserted between the legs coming into contact with each inclined section, the manual control means being adapted to move axially said needle to cause the radial spacing of said tabs.
  • the device comprises means for elastic return of the needle.
  • the device comprises a sleeve screwed to the upper end of the tubular body and extending longitudinally inside the latter, so as to house the cables fixed to the braking means.
  • the braking means are preferably attached to the lower end of the sheath.
  • the device according to the invention advantageously comprises a ball bushing adapted to guide the rod along the axis of the body during its sliding inside of it.
  • the device represented by way of example in FIGS. 1 to 2b is intended for jumping by successive leaps and has been specially designed to users wishing to practice a conciliatory sport sense of balance and physical endurance.
  • this device 1 comprises essentially a tubular body 2 whose lower end is provided with two wedges footrest 3, 4 and in the extension of which an impact rod 5 is able to deploy down.
  • This impact rod 5 adapted to slide inside the tubular body 2 comprises in its lower part a pad 51 made of a material to low coefficient of friction.
  • a sheath 6 is fixed to the tubular body 2 at the end superior of it.
  • This sheath 6 comprises a tip 61 in which comes accommodate a stem 7 of the type used to equip designated bicycles under the name "VTT".
  • a handlebar 8 provided with two handles 81, 82 is attached to said stem 7 so that it extends transversely to the tubular body 2.
  • a handle 83, 84 is mounted, in a manner known per se, on each handle 81, 82.
  • On each handle 83, 84 is fixed a cable 85, 86 provided with of a sheath and connected to the braking means 9, described hereinafter in detail.
  • FIG. 2 is a longitudinal sectional view of the device Figure 1 along the axis A-A.
  • the tubular body 2 has at each of its ends a tapping 21, 22.
  • the impact rod 5 is hollow and has at its end superior a metal ring 10 mounted in force.
  • This metal ring 10 comes to bear against the lower part of a coil spring 11.
  • This spring 11 of compression is adapted to return the impact rod 5 to an extreme position deployed.
  • the characteristic quantities of this spring 11 have been determined to prevent any contact between the lower part of the footrest 3, 4 and the pad 51, even under extreme conditions of use. Note that this spring 11 is interchangeable according to the weight of the user.
  • the footrest wedges 3, 4 are perforated and each provided with on their upper face of crampons 31, 41. These wedges 3, 4 are made in one only machined part 12 made of a lightweight material such as aluminum. This piece machined 12 is provided with an axial passage 121 adapted to receive by sliding the impact rod 5, and is screwed to the lower end of the tubular body 2.
  • a ball bushing 13 adapted to guide the impact rod 5 along the axis of the body 2 when sliding inside it is housed at inside the axial passage 121.
  • This ball bushing 13 is held in place in its housing through an annular plate 14 fixed to the machined part 12 by means of screws 15.
  • the sheath 6 comprises, at its lower end, a bulge 63 adapted to house a cylindrical sleeve 91 which constitutes a part braking means 9 according to the invention ( Figure 2a).
  • the sleeve 91 has, in its lower part, legs 911 each having an inclined section 912 arranged concentrically, of so that they form a cavity 913 having a symmetry of axis revolution confused with the axis A-A sliding of the impact rod 5.
  • a ring cylindrical elastomer 92 is mounted in force around legs 911 and constitutes the brake lining according to the invention.
  • the braking means 9 also comprise a needle 93 drilled with a channel 931 in which are housed the cables.
  • the conical head 932 of this needle 93 is housed in the cavity 913 formed by the legs 911 abutting against the inclined faces 912.
  • the needle 93 comprises, at the opposite end of the head 932, a thread 933 in which is screwed a knurled nut-counter-nut system 94.
  • This nut-against-nut system 94 makes it possible to maintain place a compression spring 95 whose upper end is based on a washer 96.
  • the washer 96 is itself based on the underside of the cylindrical ring 92.
  • the cables are kept tight at their free end, in a cable clamp 97 through two screws 971, 972.
  • the displacement of the needle 93 causes a radial spacing 911 legs.
  • the ring 92 is then deformed radially (FIG. 2b) and its outer side wall 921 rubs against the inner wall 52 of the rod impact 5, which causes the braking of the latter relative to the body tubular 2.
  • the compression spring 95 returns to the free state and brings back thus the needle 93 in the position it initially occupied before braking.
  • Figure 3 is a sectional view of a variant of the rod impact 5.
  • the impact rod 5 consists of two parts 5a, 5b interconnected by means of a threaded rod 52 which is also used to maintain the skate 5.
  • the smallest part 5b of the impact rod arranged in the lower part of the stem can be replaced by any other part of identical shape and of different length.
  • the length of this part 5b is adjustable according to the size of the user.
  • the particular structure of the braking means 9 described above can be replaced by an equivalent structure, such as jaws with jaws suitable for squeezing one or more padding (s) brake arranged concentrically outside the impact rod 5.
  • the compression spring of the preferred variant to recall the impact rod can be arranged in a different way, as for example be arranged around the impact rod under the footrest wedges. It can also be progressive, which allows to make the first jumps easier. It may also be replaced by any other equivalent means adapted to return the impact rod to its extended deployed position such as pneumatic means.
