Definitions
- the present invention relates to a kitchen hood motorized.
- Kitchen hoods arranged above a table cooking are intended to capture the air in the environment of the appliance cooking to eliminate odors. These hoods are generally considered to be installed household appliances independently of the ventilation systems of the accommodation, so that they can have a negative influence on indoor air quality and disturb the operation of the ventilation device.
- hoods There is a first type of hoods constituted by hoods with extraction which must capture and extract a large air flow on the plan cooking to be effective. The extracted air is discharged outside the building.
- Two main problems result from this extraction: significant heat losses and a strong depression in the housing, which disrupts the functioning of ventilation, when the housing is equipped with a controlled mechanical ventilation device.
- US-A-383 7269 shows a hood according to the preamble of claim 1.
- the object of the invention is to provide a kitchen hood which, when used in kitchen operation avoids extracting a flow significant air outside the accommodation, and which does not release the odors which have could be picked up.
- the hood it relates to, of the type comprising a box associated with means capable of ensuring at least two flows suction, and the open underside of which is fitted with a greases, characterized in that the upper part of the box comprises two compartments communicating with the main part of the hood in pairs orifices, one of the compartments being connected to an opening leading to the outside of the building directly or through a ventilation network and the other compartment ensuring the recycling of air inside the room, a odor filter being provided, which is movable between a position in which it is opposite the orifice of the extraction compartment, when the suction means ensure a low flow rate, and a position in which it is opposite the orifice of the recycling compartment when the suction means provide a large flow.
- the filter When using the hob, the filter is in look of the orifice of the recycling compartment, and the valve associated with this orifice is in the open position.
- the suction means are great debit. Part of the air is then extracted from the housing via of the extraction compartment with the opening open, and the other part of the air passes over the odor filter, into the recycling compartment and is reinserted on the hob.
- This operating regime makes it possible to limit the depression created in the housing while aspirating a large flow in terms of cooking, since part of the flow is sent outside the building, and the other part is recycled. This operating regime allows also limit heat loss due to recycling of part of the air. Finally, this recycling of part of the air in terms of cooking creates an air curtain at this cooking level increasing the efficiency of capturing odors and vapors.
- the odor filter When the hob is not in use, the odor filter is located opposite the orifice of the extraction compartment and the valve associated with the orifice of the recycling compartment closes this orifice while that the suction means ensure a low extraction rate. There is therefore no recycled flow, and the entire passage of the extracted air, no loaded with kitchen odors, allows the odor filter to desorb gradually. Thus, the phenomena of release of odors are limited when the hood returns to high flow with recycling. For better desorption of odors, the extracted air can be heated temporarily before to pass over the filter.
- the hood ensures regulatory permanent extraction rate in the kitchen.
- the suction means are constituted by a motor-fan housed in the hood casing, upstream of the two extraction compartments and recycling, a removable valve being provided, which closes the orifice of the recycling compartment when the fan ensures a low flow.
- valve associated with the orifice of the compartment is pivotally mounted between a position in which it closes this orifice and a position in which it opens it.
- the suction means consist of two motor-fans housed respectively in the suction compartment and in the compartment recycling, the one housed in the suction compartment ensuring ventilation of the house and the other only working during the period using a hob located under the hood.
- the suction means are constituted by a ventilation group, by example of centralized ventilation, permanently drawing air into the extraction compartment and by a motor-fan mounted in the recycling compartment and operating only during use a hob placed under the hood.
- the extraction of extracted air can be ensured by a fan collective placed, for example, at the top of a ventilation column mechanically controlled.
- the fan placed in the hood then only has function of ensuring the recycling of air through the odor filter.
- the odor filter is mounted sliding between the two positions in which it is respectively opposite the opening of the extraction compartment and the opening of the recycling.
- the odor filter is fitted pivoting between the two positions in which it is respectively in view of the hole in the extraction compartment and the hole in the recycling compartment.
- the respective movements of the odor filter and the valve associated with the orifice of the recycling compartment are coupled.
- the movement of the odor filter is associated with the change of operating mode of the fan motor.
- the only movement of the odor filter moved for example by a lever allows to simultaneously actuate the valve associated with the orifice of the recycling compartment, and to modify the regime of the fan motor.
- Figure 1 shows a hob 2 against a wall 3 in the upper part of which is formed an opening 4 leading to outside the building.
- a hood placed above the hob includes a lower main part 5 containing a motor-fan 6, and having an open underside equipped with a grease filter 7.
- the upper part of the hood has two compartments communicating with the main part through two openings, a compartment 8 connected by a tube 9 to the opening opening to the outside of the building and a compartment 10 or recycling compartment ensuring the air recirculation through a channel 12 extending at least on the front part of the hood and possibly on the side parts thereof.
- the compartments 8 and 10 communicate with the main part, respectively by openings 13 and 14.
- a slide 15 is provided at the level of the openings 13 and 14 in which a filter is slidably mounted with odors 16 of surface corresponding substantially to the surface of each opening 13, 14.
- a port 17 is also associated with a valve 17 pivoting about an axis 18 between an opening position of the orifice 14 shown in Figure 1, a closed position thereof shown in Figure 2.
- the fan motor 6 is capable of two flows distinct, namely a first basic flow corresponding to an extraction permanent housing regulation and higher throughput corresponding to a flow implemented when using the table cooking 2.
- Heating resistors 19 are arranged below orifice 13 of compartment 8.
- This hood operates as follows: When the table cooking is used, as is the case represented in figure 1, the motor-fan offers the maximum flow, the odor filter 16 is arranged in view of the opening 14 of the recycling compartment 10 and the valve 17 is open. The flow is therefore divided between an extraction flow to the exterior by the opening 4 and a flow recycled by the compartment 10, as shown by the arrows in figure 1. The extraction rate is important, which ensures good capture of vapors and odors on the hob and the reduced extract flow does not disturb the aunterlics housing. When the hob is not in use, the odor filter 16 is moved to the position shown in Figure 2 in which it located opposite the orifice 13 opening into the compartment 8.
- the valve 17 is in the closed position and the fan motor operates at small flow while ensuring the basic flow of regulatory extraction of the cooked.
- the heating resistors 19 can be supplied.
- the total air flow which corresponds to the base extraction flow rate on the odor filter before being sent outside. It is thus possible, while ensuring a basic throughput of regulatory extraction of housing, to carry out the desorption of odors at the level of the filter 16, which is favored by at least momentary heating of the air through the resistances 19. It should be noted that this desorption of the odor filter avoids, during the operation of the hood with high flow in the Figure 1 configuration to release odors inside the kitchen.
- FIGS. 3 and 4 show another embodiment of this hood, in which the same elements are designated by the same references than before.
- the motor fan 23 will therefore ensure the basic ventilation rate of the room in question.
- the hood contains a motor-fan 24 arranged in the extraction compartment.
- This embodiment is advantageous in the context of a collective housing, because it makes it possible to comply with the ventilation standards of the building, without imbalance of the installation during use in flow maximum suction in the kitchen.
- the invention provides a great improvement to the existing technique by providing a hood ensuring a basic permanent extraction base flow, a flow important extraction for a good capture on the hob, in if it is used, a reduced extract flow does not disturb the ventilation of the accommodation, a recycled flow with odor capture, with desorption and regeneration of the odor filter when using the hood with a permanent extraction base rate, which limits the risks of release of odors in the accommodation.

Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a kitchen hood motorized.
Kitchen hoods, arranged above a table cooking are intended to capture the air in the environment of the appliance cooking to eliminate odors. These hoods are generally considered to be installed household appliances independently of the ventilation systems of the accommodation, so that they can have a negative influence on indoor air quality and disturb the operation of the ventilation device.
There is a first type of hoods constituted by hoods with extraction which must capture and extract a large air flow on the plan cooking to be effective. The extracted air is discharged outside the building. Two main problems result from this extraction: significant heat losses and a strong depression in the housing, which disrupts the functioning of ventilation, when the housing is equipped with a controlled mechanical ventilation device.
There are also recycling hoods that are used when it is not possible to extract air from the accommodation. These hoods for recycling use chemical filters whose purpose is to capture odors. These hoods, on the one hand do not extract the water vapors created on the hobs, and on the other hand release the odors captured on the chemical filter. The efficiency of such hoods with regard to air quality is therefore not satisfactory.
US-A-383 7269 montre une hotte selon le preambule de la revendication 1.US-A-383 7269 shows a hood according to the preamble of claim 1.
The object of the invention is to provide a kitchen hood which, when used in kitchen operation avoids extracting a flow significant air outside the accommodation, and which does not release the odors which have could be picked up.
To this end, the hood it relates to, of the type comprising a box associated with means capable of ensuring at least two flows suction, and the open underside of which is fitted with a greases, characterized in that the upper part of the box comprises two compartments communicating with the main part of the hood in pairs orifices, one of the compartments being connected to an opening leading to the outside of the building directly or through a ventilation network and the other compartment ensuring the recycling of air inside the room, a odor filter being provided, which is movable between a position in which it is opposite the orifice of the extraction compartment, when the suction means ensure a low flow rate, and a position in which it is opposite the orifice of the recycling compartment when the suction means provide a large flow.
When using the hob, the filter is in look of the orifice of the recycling compartment, and the valve associated with this orifice is in the open position. The suction means are great debit. Part of the air is then extracted from the housing via of the extraction compartment with the opening open, and the other part of the air passes over the odor filter, into the recycling compartment and is reinserted on the hob.
This operating regime makes it possible to limit the depression created in the housing while aspirating a large flow in terms of cooking, since part of the flow is sent outside the building, and the other part is recycled. This operating regime allows also limit heat loss due to recycling of part of the air. Finally, this recycling of part of the air in terms of cooking creates an air curtain at this cooking level increasing the efficiency of capturing odors and vapors.
When the hob is not in use, the odor filter is located opposite the orifice of the extraction compartment and the valve associated with the orifice of the recycling compartment closes this orifice while that the suction means ensure a low extraction rate.
In this second operating mode, the hood ensures regulatory permanent extraction rate in the kitchen.
According to a first embodiment of this hood, the suction means are constituted by a motor-fan housed in the hood casing, upstream of the two extraction compartments and recycling, a removable valve being provided, which closes the orifice of the recycling compartment when the fan ensures a low flow.
Avantageusement, le clapet associé à l'orifice du compartiment de recyclage est monté pivotant entre une position dans laquelle il obture cet orifice et une position dans laquelle il ouvre celui-ci.Advantageously, the valve associated with the orifice of the compartment is pivotally mounted between a position in which it closes this orifice and a position in which it opens it.
According to a second embodiment of this hood, the suction means consist of two motor-fans housed respectively in the suction compartment and in the compartment recycling, the one housed in the suction compartment ensuring ventilation of the house and the other only working during the period using a hob located under the hood.
According to a third embodiment of this hood, the suction means are constituted by a ventilation group, by example of centralized ventilation, permanently drawing air into the extraction compartment and by a motor-fan mounted in the recycling compartment and operating only during use a hob placed under the hood.
The extraction of extracted air can be ensured by a fan collective placed, for example, at the top of a ventilation column mechanically controlled. The fan placed in the hood then only has function of ensuring the recycling of air through the odor filter.
According to one possibility, the odor filter is mounted sliding between the two positions in which it is respectively opposite the opening of the extraction compartment and the opening of the recycling.
Alternatively, the odor filter is fitted pivoting between the two positions in which it is respectively in view of the hole in the extraction compartment and the hole in the recycling compartment.
Advantageously, the respective movements of the odor filter and the valve associated with the orifice of the recycling compartment are coupled. In addition, the movement of the odor filter is associated with the change of operating mode of the fan motor.
So, for example, the only movement of the odor filter moved for example by a lever allows to simultaneously actuate the valve associated with the orifice of the recycling compartment, and to modify the regime of the fan motor.
à la figure 2.The upper part of the hood has two compartments
communicating with the main part through two openings, a
l'orifice 13 du compartiment 8.Finally, the
This hood operates as follows: When the table
cooking is used, as is the case represented in figure 1, the motor-fan
offers the maximum flow, the
Figures 3 and 4 show another embodiment of this hood, in which the same elements are designated by the same references than before.
In the case of this hood, the
odeurs 16.When hob 2 is not in use, the fan motor
is stopped, and the air is extracted from the kitchen via
This embodiment is advantageous in the context of a collective housing, because it makes it possible to comply with the ventilation standards of the building, without imbalance of the installation during use in flow maximum suction in the kitchen.
As is apparent from the above, the invention provides a great improvement to the existing technique by providing a hood ensuring a basic permanent extraction base flow, a flow important extraction for a good capture on the hob, in if it is used, a reduced extract flow does not disturb the ventilation of the accommodation, a recycled flow with odor capture, with desorption and regeneration of the odor filter when using the hood with a permanent extraction base rate, which limits the risks of release of odors in the accommodation.
It goes without saying that the invention is not limited to the single form
of this hood, described above by way of example, it
on the contrary embraces all variants. This is how the
movement of

- Hood according to claim 1, characterised in that the suction means are formed by a motor fan (6) which is accommodated in the box (5) of the hood, upstream of the two compartments (8, 10) for extraction and for recycling, a moveable flap (17) being provided which closes the orifice (14) of the recycling compartment (10) when the fan is providing a low flow.
- Hood according to claim 2, characterised in that the flap associated with the orifice (14) of the recycling compartment is mounted so as to pivot between a position in which it closes, this orifice and a position in which it opens the latter.
- Hood according to claim 1, characterised in that the suctions means are formed by two motor fans which are accommodated respectively in the suction compartment and in the recycling compartment, the one accommodated in the suction compartment providing the ventilation of the house and the other functioning only during periods of use of a hob which is disposed under the hood.
- Hood according to claim 1, characterised in that the suction means are formed by a ventilation assembly, for example of centralised ventilation, permanently suctioning the air into the extraction compartment and by means of a motor fan mounted in the recycling compartment and only functioning during periods of use of a hob which is disposed under the hood.
- Hood according to one of the claims 1 to 5, characterised in that the odour filter (16) is mounted so as to slide between the two positions in which it is respectively facing the orifice (13) of the extraction compartment (8) and the orifice (14) of the recycling compartment (10).
- Hood according to one of the claims 1 to 5, characterised in that the odour filter is mounted so as to pivot between the two positions in which it is respectively facing the orifice of the extraction compartment and the orifice of the recycling compartment.
- Hood according to one of the claims 1 to 7, characterised in that the respective movements of the odour filter (14) and of the flap (17) associated with the orifice (14) of the recycling compartment (10) are coupled.
- Hood according to one of the claims 1 to 8, characterised in that the movement of the odour filter (16) is associated with a change in the mode of operation of the motor fan (6).
- Hood according to one of the claims 1 to 9, characterised in that its box contains heating means such as an electric resistor (19).
