Definitions
- TAD Through Air Drying
- a special embossing fabric is used in this TAD area.
- the three-dimensional structuring of a wet paper sheet by forming zones of low density, framed by densified areas, is done in modern tissue-making machines as part of a predrying of the sheet in a pre-drying section in front of the Yankee cylinder.
- the pre-drying of the paper sheet is done on the support fabric by convection by hot air is forced through the lying on the support web paper web.
- TAD through-air drying
- the three-dimensional structuring is usually carried out in three steps, which usually follow each other in a spatially separated manner.
- the first step is to deflect the fibers in the Z direction into the patterning cavities of the backing fabric offered by the TAD embossing fabric, which are systematically distributed over the paper-contacting surface of the backing fabric.
- the deflection of the fibers in the Z-direction is caused by air and water flow, assisted by vacuum in one or more suction boxes, which is / are arranged on the side of the supporting fabric opposite the paper-contacting side.
- a partial compression of the pre-dried nonwoven fabric by pressing the support fabric with the predried paper web thereon is then effected by means of a press roll against the surface of the Yankee cylinder.
- the compression of the paper web takes place at the raised points of the supporting fabric, which can be formed both in certain areas of the supporting fabric surface of warp and weft wires.
- the fibers lying in the depressions of the supporting tissue are spared from compression.
- TAD embossing fabric represent as support fabric a special form of the sieves, by weave, wire selection in terms of material, diameter, cross-sectional shape and post-treatment, for example Thermofixing and grinding of the surface, have their typical structure-forming properties.
- an air-throughdrying (TAD) fabric for producing a single fabric with increased three-dimensional effect.
- warp yarns objected to by three warp yarns are provided, which in immediate succession overlay seven weft yarns, combined with weft yarns which superimpose three warp yarns in immediate succession.
- the weft thread engages under several points a weft thread, so that this weft thread engages over the adjacent warp threads.
- weft threads in succession overlap three warp threads.
- paper machine clothing is off WO 96/04418 .
- the technical problem (object) of the invention is to provide a paper machine clothing, which is suitable and constructed with regard to a tissue paper produced therewith an improved three-dimensional surface structure in the form of a series of indentations and Surveys for obtaining a tissue paper improved appearance, improved softness and increased volume in the context of improved
- This solution is based on the finding that in the fabric of the paper machine clothing at weft and warp threads of the fabric at selected locations warp threads at three successive intersections weft threads and wefts at three successive intersections overlap warp threads, so that at the top of the paper machine clothing that is, on the paper-contacting side of the fabric, exposing larger lengths of the warp or weft yarns and having a greater degree of freedom of movement upward, ie perpendicular to the fabric plane, compared to a regular standard fabric.
- This greater degree of freedom of movement necessitates the formation of relatively deep indentations in the juxtaposition of such thread sections, which give the paper machine clothing a greater overall height and thus a stronger three-dimensionality.
- a papermachine clothing is created by the inventive solution in the outstanding deep indentations are available with the result that in particular in the TAD area with this paper machine clothing a paper and in particular a tissue paper can be produced, which is an outstandingly large Has three-dimensionality in terms of an increase in volume, which makes the paper appear particularly fluffy and also shows in addition to an outstanding softness also excellent water absorbency.
- the tissue paper produced with the paper machine clothing according to the invention has at least two different types of non-compressed zones of different shape or size.
- the non-compressed zones are surrounded by compressed zones, so-called fence-pole-like zones.
- the different types of uncompressed zones may have different numbers of crepe creases.
- Each type of uncompressed zone preferably always has the same number of crepe fractions. It may happen that individual non-compressed zones of one certain type have a number of crepe folds that deviate from the ideal value. However, there may also be smaller non-compressed zones with no crevices and the larger non-compressed zones with two crevices.
- This product has a significantly improved feel by significantly changing or improving the mechanical properties of the tissue paper.
- the textile-like character is also significantly enhanced.
- An improvement also exists in terms of liquid absorption and adsorption by relatively large wells for storing liquid and large surface pores for receiving particles.
- the tissue paper has a significantly greater thickness.
- Fig. 1 schematically a paper machine clothing is shown, seen from the top, ie from the support side of the paper web ago. Shown is a surface section of eight weft threads SF1 - SF8 and eight Warp threads KF1 - KF8 for the production of a complete, repeating pattern.
- the plain weave which is the simplest type of weave, in which the warp threads alternately overlap (crossover) and under (undercross) the weft thread, respectively the weft threads alternately lie above or underneath the warp thread
- the weave pattern of FIG Fig. 1 in both the warp and weft threads at each eighth junction, a subcrossing is replaced by a crossover.
- the upper threads in warp and weft threads form the actual support surface of the clothing (paper-contacting side).
- the lower threads in warp and weft threads form the lower level of the clothing.
- the upper threads can also, as in the Figures 2 and 3 , Is shown to be ground flat to form a support plane, but as already known in connection with other paper machine clothing.

- FIGS. 2a to 2d As Fig. 2 can be taken, a pair of upper threads in the weft or warp direction, a pair of adjacent lower threads in the weft or warp direction is assigned.
- the cross section of the fabric is clearer also with respect to the third dimension FIGS. 2a to 2d refer to. Due to the constellation described arise from the enlarged surface section of Fig. 3 relatively deep indentations (or wells) 20, which also give the papers produced with this screen, especially in the TAD area, a larger third dimension. The bulges are still clearer Fig. 4 recognizable in the actual paper machine clothing. Visible are also the ground upper threads, which carry the reference numeral 21.

- FIGS. 24 and 25 each show from the side of the Yankee cylinder and from the opposite side a paper product according to the invention.
- Fig. 25 This view shows alternate shapes and sizes of non-compressed zones.
- Smaller non-compressed zones have the reference numeral 22 and the larger non-compressed zones alternating therewith the reference numeral 23.
- These non-compressed zones 22 and 23 are surrounded by compressed zones, also referred to as fence-post-like lines. They bear the reference numeral 24 for a smaller non-compressed zone 22. Likewise, they are also present for the other non-compressed zones. In this particular case, the smaller non-compressed zones 22 are formed without creping.
- the larger non-compressed zones here have two crepe creases 25, these crevices being at a certain distance.
- two parallel compressed zones that have an uncompressed zone may overlap each other by up to 20%.
- the machine direction (MD) and / or cross machine direction (CD) distance from one compressed zone to the other compressed zone differs in length. This is due to the fact that different types of non-compressed zones alternate. In Fig. 25 this is indicated by the designations l 1 and l 2 .
- the paper is also creped in the compressed zones, ie where the paper is pressed against the Yankee cylinder during drying.
- tissue paper product described above can be produced with a paper machine clothing described below Fig. 26 ,
