Claims (6)

  1. Procédé pour durcir par faisceau laser les rainures annulaires d'un fond de piston en acier, d'un piston en acier d'un seul tenant, d'une tête de piston en acier ou d'une partie inférieure en acier d'un piston,
    caractérisé en ce
    que le faisceau laser est guidé vers le piston sensiblement dans la direction périphérique.
  2. Procédé selon la revendication 1,
    caractérisé en ce
    que le faisceau laser projeté dans le plan des rainures annulaires ne coupe le fond de piston que périphériquement dans la zone de ses rainures annulaires, en tant que sécante.
  3. Procédé selon la revendication 1 ou 2,
    caractérisé en ce
    que le faisceau laser est orienté vers le flanc de rainure (5) sous un angle relativement petit par rapport au plan du flanc de rainure, de telle sorte que les faisceaux réfléchis par un flanc de rainure (5) ne touchent ni le fond de rainure ni l'autre flanc de rainure (5) correspondant.
  4. Procédé selon la revendication 1 ou 2,
    caractérisé en ce
    qu'aucun revêtement superficiel n'est réalisé dans les zones à durcir pour augmenter l'absorption.
  5. Procédé selon l'une des revendication 1 à 4,
    caractérisé en ce
    que les deux flancs de rainure (5) sont durcis simultanément.
  6. Dispositif pour mettre en oeuvre le procédé selon la revendication 1,
    caractérisé en ce
    que le dispositif pour durcir au laser, qui guide le faisceau laser vers le piston sensiblement dans la direction périphérique, est intégré à une machine-outil à enlèvement de copeaux, de telle sorte que le durcissement et l'usinage de finition de la pièce sont possibles dans le même bridage.
