Definitions
- the invention relates to a plate heat exchanger from one of those in heat exchange standing media, preferably in a counter-current flow, the individual plates are provided with embossments, with each other Support the following plates directly against each other.
- EP 0 658 735 B1 describes a cross-flow heat exchanger formed from plates known, the individual plates assembled in pairs are, the plates of a pair arranged in mirror image to each other are. Between the individual plates of a pair of plates, a wave-like running channel for one of the two participating in the heat exchange Media formed. The other medium, which flows in cross flow, flows through in a tube designed channels between the adjacent individual plates Plate pairs.
- the plates with a plurality of parallel rows of, in the flow direction of the second medium, groove-shaped embossing sections. Because the embossing sections adjacent rows of the plate are staggered in the longitudinal direction, there are flat supports in shape between adjoining plates of essentially diamond-shaped supporting fields that cover the entire surface the plates are evenly distributed.
- This plate heat exchanger are limited to cross-current operation. Other Operating modes, such as countercurrent, are too small due to the Channel cross sections not possible.
- GB-1 197 933 is a plate heat exchanger known, the individual plates with arranged in rows Embossing sections are provided, the rows being consecutive Loudly offset plates laterally.
- the invention has for its object to provide a plate heat exchanger suitable for countercurrent operation, which is characterized by a high pressure capacity in relation to both media, and can be produced with little material and assembly costs.
- the plates are provided with trough-shaped embossed sections arranged in rows, which are on all plates on the same side, the rows extending parallel to one another and having the same spacing from one another and the rows of successive plates are arranged one above the other.
- the plate heat exchanger is sufficient for both media flows involved large through-channels for counter-current operation.
- the plate heat exchanger is also characterized by a high pressure resistance in relation to both media involved in the heat exchange, it is also made of low material and assembly effort can be produced.
- the embossing sections of successive plates are preferably in the direction the rows are staggered. This offset should be preferred half the length of the embossing sections.
- the embossing sections Adjacent rows of a plate are arranged offset to one another in the direction of the rows are. This offset should preferably be half the length of the embossed sections be.
- the plates of the plate stack are rectangular, the feed or Outflow of the first medium involved in the heat exchange at the two shorter sides of the plates, and the inflow of the second on Heat exchange medium involved at one end, and the outflow at the other end of the longer sides of the panels.
- FIG. 1 shows possible uses using a first exemplary embodiment a plate heat exchanger as a gas turbine recuperator.
- Reference number 1 is the outlet connection for the hot gases of the turbine designated.
- the temperature of these gases is e.g. 650 ° C.
- the hot gases flow through the two symmetrically arranged plate heat exchangers 2 in the longitudinal direction and enter a common outlet channel 3 out.
- the temperature of the turbine exhaust gases is still approx. 200 ° C.
- the compressed air led to the gas turbine flows through the plate heat exchangers 2 in counterflow, for which purpose at one end of each plate heat exchanger 2 an inlet channel 4 and at the other end a common outlet channel 5 is arranged.
- the temperature of the compressed air is for example 175 ° C. in the outlet duct 5 of the two plate heat exchangers 2 is common, for example 600 ° C.
- Figure 1 also shows that the two plate heat exchangers 2 in the Are arranged obliquely to each other that their distance A in the area of the common Outlet channel 5 is greater than the level for the plate heat exchanger separate entry channels 4.
- the reason for this is that, although the first medium, i.e. the hot gases coming from the turbine, only on the shorter ones Pages 6 of the plate heat exchanger enter and exit, whereas the second on Medium involved in heat exchange, namely the compressed air, in the longer Pages 7a, 7b of the plate heat exchanger 2 enters or exits.
- the inlet channel 4 at one end of the longer side 7a, and the outlet channel 5 at the other end of the longer side 7b.
- the second Medium i.e. the compressed air
- the inlet channel 4 are for the second medium and the outlet channel 5 on the same longer side 7b of the Plate heat exchanger 2, whereas the other longer side 7a completely closed is.
- Both inlet channel 4 and outlet channel 5 are located in the middle between the paired plate heat exchangers 2 and are equally assigned to both plate heat exchangers.
- the flow takes place in countercurrent, but here with a main flow direction in the form of a "C" for the second medium.
- the first medium in turn flows through the plate heat exchanger in a straight line Paths between outlet pipe 1 from the gas turbine and exhaust duct 3.
- the embodiment according to FIG. 3 differs from the embodiment according to Figure 2 by additional inlet channels 4 and outlet channels 5 also on the longer side 7a of the plate heat exchanger, which in turn is arranged in pairs 2. On each longer side 7a, 7b of the two plate heat exchangers 2 is located there is therefore both an inlet channel 4 and an outlet channel 5 for the second medium involved in heat exchange.
- the flow is countercurrent similar to an elongated "X".
- FIG 4 are the inflows and outflows 1, 3, 4, 5 of the outlet nozzle 1 of the gas turbine, the outlet duct 3 and the inlet duct 4 and Outlet channel 5 of the air to be heated is shown.
- the plate heat exchanger 2 is made up of a plurality of layers one on top of the other Steel sheets composed, which are each embossed. Such embossed Sheets can be drawn by deep drawing or by means of suitable forming presses produce. With the exception of the edge areas of the respective plate 8 the embossing sections 9 thereon are each designed identically. You point the shape of straight channels of limited length. When displaying according to Figures 4 and 5, the plates 8 are stacked around each other so that the Bulges of the groove-shaped embossing sections 9 point upwards.
- the embossing sections 9 are arranged in rows, the direction of which Row of the direction of the longest dimension of the rectangular embossed sections 9 corresponds.
- the individual rows of the plate 8 extend in parallel to each other and have the same distances r to each other.
- the embossing sections 9 adjacent rows are offset from one another in the direction of the rows arranged, with an offset V, which is half the length of the embossing sections 9 is. In plan view of the plate 8, this results in a shape of the Embossing sections 9, which on a masonry, each with half the offset Bricks reminded.
- FIG. 5 shows that in all of the plates 8 of the plate heat exchanger 2, the channel-shaped embossed sections 9 and 9 'arranged in rows are located on the same side of the plate.
- the embossing sections 9 therefore, depending on the viewpoint of the viewer, either all up or all down. If all of the plates 8 were of identical design and were arranged identically, the plates, including the embossing sections, would lie flush on one another without a gap, with the result that there would no longer be any flow channels between the plates.
- the procedure according to the invention is therefore such that plates lying one on top of the other do not have an identical image of the embossing sections 9, 9 'arranged thereon, but rather the embossing sections 9, 9' also serve as spacers due to their arrangement.
- FIG. 5 shows that this offset V P with respect to successive plates is half the length of the groove-shaped embossing sections 9. In contrast, there is no offset between successive plates 8 with respect to the individual rows in which the embossed sections 9 and 9 'are arranged. The rows of one plate are therefore exactly above the rows of the next plate of the plate stack. The offset V P is only found within the row.
- the individual plates 8 are designed in such a way that a plate is arranged over a plate, the row of which begins with a whole embossing section 9, the row of which begins with half an embossing section 9 ', and vice versa.
- this can be achieved in a first embodiment by using two different plate types.
- all of the plates can be designed identically, but every second plate is first rotated horizontally by 180 ° and then placed on the plate below it before the plates are finally connected to one another.
- each plate on its embossing sections 9, 9 'on the in the direction supports the extent of the embossing sections of the next plate.
- embossing sections 9, 9 'of the one plate forms there is contact between the embossing sections 9, 9 'of the one plate, and Areas 10 of the next plate.
- These areas 10 are those unembossed areas the base of the next plate, which is between the inside a series of successive embossing sections 9, and which separate the embossing sections 9 of a row.
- FIG. 4 shows that to manufacture the plate heat exchanger 2, the individual Plates 8 on their shorter sides 6 and longer sides 7a, 7b are welded. The welding takes place in such a way that between the Plates alternately one and the other of the two at the heat exchange involved media is passed through. So form two neighboring ones Plates flow channels for the first medium, so form the next Plate flow channels for the other of the two media.
- Those areas of the two longer sides 7a, 7b, on which there are neither inlet channels 4 nor Outlet channels 5 are, as can be seen in FIG. 4, completely closed, so that in these areas a counterflow between the two on Media involved in heat exchange is forced.
