Abstract

A method and a briquetting press for briquetting metal chips, wherein stable briquettes/pressed component are produced. The actual length (Lact) of the pressed component is obtained by applying pressure (Pmax/Preq) using at least one pressing ram ( 1, 2 ) and measuring the length with a measuring device ( 5, 6 ). The measured value is compared to a desired nominal value (Lnom) and a difference value (□) is subsequently determined.

Description

Technisches GebietTechnical field

The invention relates to a method for briquetting metal chips and a Briquetting press to carry out the process.

Stand der TechnikState of the art

Briquetting presses according to DE-A-40 39 788 have already become known in which the metal chips are pressed into briquettes by means of at least one press ram in a press bush, to which the metal chips are fed via a metering device assigned to the press bush with a tamper. The procedure is as follows:
  • Drive the rammer forward, fill and close the press bushing,
  • Move the ram up and convey the metal chips into the press section of the press bush,
  • Pressurization of the metal chips by at least one press ram until the final pressure P max or the required pressure P erf is reached ,
  • if necessary retracting a second ram and ejecting the finished compact as a briquette through the first ram and
  • Retract the first ram and, if necessary, advance the second ram to the starting position.

Compared to conventional briquetting presses, the possibly double-acting briquetting presses on the one hand produces a compact which has a particularly high compression, that of the actual metal density comes close and on the other hand achieves a high power throughput, so that a Optimal between high density and high performance is achieved. Compared to the single-sided presses can also have longer briquettes be produced because the theoretically still feasible stroke lengths are practical mechanical engineering and manufacturing must be kept limited.

Furthermore, according to EP-A-0 367 859 a method and a Briquetting press for the production of dimensionally stable briquettes from chip, fibrous, dusty or sheet-like pressed material is known, after which the pressed material first fed to a pre-compression piston and from this in a Receiving chamber is pre-compressed and at right angles to it moving plunger is further compressed in a molding box.

This invention provides that the exact detection of End position of the plunger or pre-compressor piston the fluctuations compensate almost completely in the pressed material and at the same time the intended one Let the drive power of the press be used with high efficiency.

The knowledge gained from this technical teaching, however, is based on axial Non-transferable towards double-acting briquetting presses.

Furthermore, US-A-5,326,511 teaches one similar to the aforementioned document Solution, being in the synopsis of the characteristics of this genus of Presses arranged on the principle of perpendicular to each other Pre-compressors and final compressors work, there are no solutions for that in a press bushing against each other, a completely represent another type of press with other functional processes.

With a double-acting briquetting press with those working in a press bush Rather, it is problematic to stamp the possible and permissible length of the To achieve compacts for briquette with extremely low tolerance. Then it is disadvantageous that, although the maximum pressure acts, the maximum possible Filling volume in the press bushing cannot be used with regard to the length of the briquette is.

Darstellung der ErfindungPresentation of the invention

The invention is based on the object, while maintaining the initially advantageous functional sequence described above, of specifying a method in which a higher mass throughput of metal chips to be pressed is possible by utilizing the achievable desired length of the briquette by means of improved metering of the metal chips for a maximum filling volume in the press bushing.
Furthermore, there is the task of equipping a briquetting press for carrying out the method with suitable technical means which bring about an improved metering of the metal chips.

Overall, the invention aims to produce stable briquettes.

The invention is intended to relate exclusively to the type of press refer to only one press bush with opening for the radially assigned Dosing device with tamper, which is also a closing device for the opening is in the press bush, two guided in this press bush Press ram with piston rods and one of these assemblies and associated Have the frame, frame or housing that receives the pressure generator.

According to the invention, the object is achieved according to the method by the features according to claims 1 to 6 solved. To carry out the process, a Briquetting press proposed according to the features of claim 7.

Bester Weg zur Ausführung der ErfindungBest way to carry out the invention

According to an exemplary embodiment, FIG. 1 shows a schematic illustration a double-acting briquetting press, each with two rams 1, 2, piston rods 3, 4 and measuring devices 5, 6, but the invention is also based on single-acting, i.e. equipped with a press ram, a piston rod and a measuring device Briquetting presses applicable. The briquetting press is a dosing device Upstream 9, of which the metal chips by means of a rammer 8 a press bush 11 are supplied, in which, through the interaction of the press rams 1, 2 the compact 12 is formed as a briquette.

A control circuit 15 belonging to the briquetting press consists of the measuring devices 5, 6, a logic module 7, a controller 13 and actuators 10, 17 (Fig. 2).

According to FIG. 2, the schematically represented functions of compact density 16.1, Press length 16.2, press pressure 16.3 and supply quantity 17.1 and press pressure 17.2 regulated.

hergestellt.By applying pressure by means of the press rams 1, 2 in the press bush 11, the compact 12 becomes after the process
  • Advance the tamper 9, fill the press bush 11 with metal chips via the radially assigned metering device 9 and close the press bush 11,
  • Move the ram 1, 2 forward and convey the metal chips into the press section of the press bush,
  • Pressurization of the metal chips by the press rams 1, 2 together until the final pressure P max or the required pressure P erf is reached ,
  • Retracting the press rams 1, 2 and ejecting the finished compact 12
produced.

According to the invention, when the pressure is applied P max / P erf by the press rams 1, 2, the compact length L achieved is measured by means of the measuring devices 5, 6 integrated on the piston rods 5, 6, this measured value is compared with a target value L target and then a difference value Δ certainly. In accordance with this difference value, the amount or mass of the metal chips to be fed from the metering device 9 is defined according to the desired length L target of the compact 12 , the fill level is then set in the metering device 9 and the corresponding amount or mass is supplied by the tamper 9. This process can be repeated until the final pressure P max or the required pressure P erf and the target value L should have reached the length of the briquette or compact 12.

To determine the briquette length from the relative position of the press rams 1, 2 by means of the integrated measuring devices 5, 6, an electronic logic module 7 is used, which according to the relationship L soll = S 1 - S 2
  • a) when determining that the briquette L is below the set point L is located to a command for multi-dose or
  • b) to when determining that the briquette L is above the reference value L, a command for reducing dosage
  • of metal chips in the metering device 9.

    Gewerbliche AnwendbarkeitIndustrial applicability
