    Claims (6)

    1. Gas cylinder, particularly for liquefied petroleum gas, comprising a body (10) able to withstand the pressure, particularly higher than 14 bar, of the gas contained in the cylinder, a valve (12) mounted in the neck (11) of the cylinder and, when closed, preventing gas from leaving the body (10), and a cap (1 to 9), particularly made of plastic, having a first part which, with the valve (12), delimits a chamber (C) so as to render the chamber (C) sealed against the pressurized gas, and a second part, which plays no part in delimiting the chamber (C) and which comprises a skirt (2) capping a hollow shaft (13) and equipped on its interior face with a retaining member (4), the cylinder being characterized in that
      the hollow shaft (13) is a hollow shaft of the valve (12) and the skirt (2) comprises, by way of retaining member, a projection (4) for snap-fastening onto a shoulder (14) of the exterior wall of the hollow shaft (13),
      and the opposite end of the skirt (2) to the first part of the cap is connected to a ring (8), on the one hand, on a first part of the lower edge of the skirt (2) by a tab (5) and, on the other hand, on a second part of the lower edge of the skirt (2), larger than the first part, by a line (9) with lower resistance to tearing.
    2. Cylinder according to Claim 1, characterized in that the valve (12) is such that it prevents gas under a first pressure from leaving the body (10) while the cap (1 to 9) is such chat it prevents gas under a second pressure lower than the first pressure from leaving the chamber (C).
    3. cylinder according to Claim 1 or 2, characterized in that the cap (1 to 9) comprises a top wall (1) from which there originates a tubular part (3) which is open downwards, the exterior lateral face of the tubular part (3) coming into contact, with insertion of a seal (24), with the interior lateral face of the hollow shaft (13).
    4. Cylinder according to one of Claims 1 to 3, characterized in that the valve is of the type with the seal (22) returned co a seat (23) by a spring (20).
    5. Cylinder according to one of Claims 1 to 4, characterized in that the line (9) of lower resistance to tearing lies between the ring (8) and a band (6) connected to the lower edge of the skirt (2) by another line (7) of lower resistance to tearing.
    6. Cylinder according to one of Claims 1 to 5, characterized in that the skirt (2) widens towards the bottom.
