Claims (10)

  1. A dose cap for an additive for adding to a liquid contained in a container having a neck (C) suitable for receiving and retaining a cap via an external portion in relief comprising a first part (1) in the form of a cover possessing an end wall (2) and a side skirt (3) and a second part (11) in the form of a cup with an end wall (12) and a side skirt (13), the cup (11) and the cover (1) possessing first snap-fastener means (5, 17) that co-operate to hold the cup (11) in the cover (1) in a first relative axial position with leaktight peripheral contact between them, a spacer (14) forming an abutment limiting penetration of the cup (11) into the cover (1) beyond said first position, said spacer (14) constituting means for breaking the end wall (12) of the cup (11) when the cap is forced to penetrate into the cover (1) beyond said first position by thrust from the rim of the neck, the cap being characterized in that the end (3a) of the side skirt (3) of the first part (1) thereof remove from the end wall (2) being provided internally with fastener means (4) for co-operating with the outside portion in relief on the neck, and in that the spacer (14) extending inside the skirt (13) of the caps (11) from the end wall (12) thereof towards the end wall (2) of the cover (1).
  2. A cap according to claim 1, characterized in that the outside portion in relief on the neck and the fastener means of the skirt of the cover are formed by screw threads.
  3. A cap according to claim 1 or claim 2, characterized in that the spacer (14) is adjacent to the skirt (13) of the cup, the end wall (12) having a line of weakness (15) in the vicinity of said location, the line of weakness extending along the junction between the end wall and the skirt (13).
  4. A cap according to claim 2 or claim 3, characterized in that the outside diameter of the skirt (13) of the cup (11) is substantially identical to the diameter at the crest of the thread (4) at the end (3a) of the skirt (3) of the cover (1).
  5. A cap according to any preceding claim, characterized in that when the cup (11) is in its above-mentioned first position, the periphery of the outside surface of the end wall (12) of the cup is surrounded by the end edge (3b) of the skirt (3) of the cover (1) and furthermore it is level therewith.
  6. A cap according to any preceding claim, characterized in that the cover (1) and the cup (11) possess corresponding second snap-fastener means (6b, 18) that co-operate to hold the cup (11) in the cover (1) in the second relative axial position thereof when the end wall (12) of the cup (11) has been broken.
  7. A cap according to claim 6, characterized in that the second snap-fastener means are constituted by a groove (6b) formed at the end of the skirt (3) of the cover (1) close to its end wall (2) and by an outside bead (18) bordering the free end (13a) of the skirt (13) of the cup (11) .
  8. A cap according to any preceding claim, characterized in that the skirt (13) of the cup (11) possesses a first axial section (13c) extending from its end wall (12), having a first outside diameter (d) that is less than the outside diameter (D) of a second axial section (13d) that surmounts the first section up to the free end (13a) of said skirt.
  9. A cap according to claim 7, characterized in that the difference between the diameters (d, D) of the two sections (13c, 13d) of the skirt of the cup is substantially equal to twice the thickness of the wall that forms the skirt, with the smaller diameter (d) being substantially equal to the inside diameter of the above-mentioned neck (C) of the container.
  10. A cap according to claims 2, 8, and 9, characterized in that the length (L) of the first above-mentioned section (13c) is sufficient to enable the thread (4) of the skirt (13) of the cover to engage with the thread of the above-mentioned neck (C) of the container.
