Description

The present invention relates to a device for packaging and dispensing a mixture of two products isolated from each other before the dispensing operation according to the preamble of claim 1.

Le brevet français 2 342 914 a servi de base au préambule de la revendication 1.Numerous devices have already been proposed making it possible to package two products in isolation that one wishes to mix before use; we can cite, for example, the devices described in FR-A-2 342 914, FR-A-2 370 650 or FR-A-2 599 006: these devices comprise a container whose neck is closed by a plug on the inner face of which is temporarily subjected, during storage, an ejectable capsule delimiting with the cap a first compartment, the body of the container constituting the second compartment; the capsule is ejected by rotating the cap, said capsule then falling into the bottom of the container, releasing the product it contains; such devices, if they are simple, have drawbacks: on the one hand, the volume of the compartment delimited by the capsule is limited by construction, in particular in the case of the container according to FR-A-2 342 914 where the diameter and the height of the capsule corresponds to the diameter and the height of the neck and, on the other hand, the capsule ejected into the container and not maintained makes it more difficult to produce the mixture when the container is shaken. French patent 2,342,914 formed the basis for the preamble of claim 1.

FR-A-2 599 006 concerne un dispositif qui comporte deux récipients séparés par une capsule, dans lequel les deux récipients sont mobiles en translation et en rotation, l'éjection de la capsule étant obtenue grâce à la translation vers le haut de la pièce contenant la capsule.FR-A-2 599 006 relates to a device which comprises two receptacles separated by a capsule, in which the two receptacles are movable in translation and in rotation, the ejection of the capsule being obtained by means of the upward translation of the part containing the capsule.

In addition, these devices, as well as the others known up to now, are ill-suited when one of the products is an oxidizing liquid and the other a cream, as is the case in cosmetics in the field of hair colorings: the dye is a very viscous cream and its intimate and homogeneous mixture with the oxidizing liquid, just before use, requires to open a passage which is not then hindered by the presence of a plug (or other part) removed from one of the compartments or containers to ensure the opening of said passage. In addition to the difficulties there are in ensuring perfect sealing of the closure of a large passage, the known devices are generally made of plastic; however, it is preferable, as we know, that the compartment or the container which contains a coloring cream is metallic, more precisely aluminum, for conservation reasons.

The present invention aims to solve, in a simple way, the problems mentioned above.

Thus, according to the invention, a device for packaging and distributing a mixture of two products isolated from each other before the dispensing operation, such a device comprising two revolution vessels assembled so that they can rotate relative to each other while not being axially movable relative to each other, one of the containers called upper container being open at one end and carrying at its other end dispensing means, the other container called the lower container comprising a body provided with a bottom and closed by a cover, said cover of the lower container constituting a bottom for the upper container when the two containers are assembled, each of the containers then containing the '' one of the products thus isolated from each other, is characterized in that the cover of the lower container is metallic and has a pre-cut strip adapted to be re cut by a tearing operation carried out by means of tearing means integral with the upper container, said tearing operation being produced when the upper container and the lower container are subjected to a relative rotational movement of one with respect to to the other.

Advantageously, an intermediate ring is provided for assembling the upper and lower containers; the ring is provided with upper and lower means for axial assembly and with upper and lower sealing means for being tightly assembled respectively with the upper container and the lower container, said ring being prevented from rotating relative to the upper container and free to rotate relative to the lower container; preferably, the tearing means is carried by the ring.

Advantageously, the precut strip that the lid of the lower container comprises includes at one of its ends a ring extending in a plane parallel to a radius of the lid of the lower container and making an angle with the plane of said lid, the means pull-out comprising a finger which extends substantially orthogonal to the common axis of the two upper and lower containers, the ring and the finger being arranged radially and axially so that, for at least one relative angular position of the two receptacles, the finger crosses the ring; the finger is carried by a support against which the ring is capable of abutting when the two containers are turned relative to each other.

Preferably, the body of the lower container is metallic, and the cover and the body of the lower container are assembled by crimping.

According to one embodiment, the distribution means carried by the upper container are provided on a plug mounted on a neck that the upper container has and are provided with a shutter; alternatively, the dispensing means carried by the upper container are formed in a tapered and closed end of the upper container, said tapered end ending in an easily breakable tip.

Such a device is well suited when the product contained in the upper container is a liquid and the product contained in the lower container is a paste.

To better understand the object of the invention, we will now describe, by way of purely illustrative and nonlimiting example, an embodiment shown in the accompanying drawings.

Sur ces dessins :

  • la figure 1 est une vue en élévation, partiellement en coupe, d'un dispositif selon la présente invention ;
  • la figure 2 est une vue partielle en coupe du dispositif de la figure 1, à plus grande échelle que celle de la figure 1, montrant l'assemblage des récipients supérieur et inférieur ;
  • la figure 3 est une vue partielle de dessus, par rapport à la figure 2, du dispositif sans le récipient supérieur ;
In these drawings:
  • Figure 1 is an elevational view, partially in section, of a device according to the present invention;
  • Figure 2 is a partial sectional view of the device of Figure 1, on a larger scale than that of Figure 1, showing the assembly of the upper and lower containers;
  • Figure 3 is a partial top view, with respect to Figure 2, of the device without the upper container;
  • Figure 4 is a top view of the lower container of the device of Figures 1 to 3, on a different scale.

Referring to the figures, it can be seen that the packaging and distribution device according to the invention comprises two containers, an upper container 1 and a lower container 2, of general shape of revolution about a common axis.

At one of its ends, the upper container 1 has a neck 11 receiving by screwing a plug 4; the plug 4 has a frustoconical end 41 provided with an axial passage 42, for the distribution of the mixture, of a diameter much smaller than that of the neck 11; the passage 42 can be closed by a shutter 5 screwed onto the frustoconical end 41 of the plug 4; this arrangement makes it possible to adapt the diameter of the distribution means that constitutes the passage 42 for the distribution of the mixture and the diameter of the neck 11 when the container 1 is filled; of course, this upper end of the container 1 can be produced in another way: for example, according to a variant not shown, the dispensing means, carried by the upper container 1, can be provided in a tapered end of the container 1, said tapered end is ending with an end piece molded with the container 1, closing said tapered end, and easily breakable.

At its end opposite the neck 11, the upper container 1 is open in line with an end flange 12; an annular groove 13 is formed on the outer surface of the end flange 12.

The lower container 2 is made of aluminum; it comprises a body 27 provided with a bottom and a cover 21; the cover 21 is in the form of a bowl which adjusts inside the body 27 and the edge 28 of which is folded down by crimping around the end of the body 27 to ensure the closure thereof: as we know, such a closure is perfectly sealed; of course, it is carried out after the lower container 2 has been filled with one of the products to be mixed before distribution.

The cover 21 of the lower container 2 has a precut strip 22, visible in FIG. 4; the strip 22 extends circularly around the axis of the lower container 2 at an angle less than 360 degrees; at one of its ends, the strip 22 is secured, for example by means of a rivet 24, to an opening member 23 ending in a ring 26; the opening member 23, therefore the ring 26, extends in a plane parallel to a radius of the cover 21, said plane making an angle with the plane of said cover 21.

The upper container 1 and the lower container 2 are assembled by means of a ring 3.

The ring 3, of generally annular shape, has an upper annular groove 39A also annular and a lower annular groove 39B; the grooves 39A and 39B are placed radially inside with respect to the ring 3; advantageously, the groove 39B is axially in the extension of a cylindrical upper wall 38 which borders the groove 39A.

The upper groove 39A defines a sealing skirt 31 whose wall 33 which borders the groove 39A is advantageously conical; for the assembly of the ring 3 and the upper container 1, the flange 12 of the upper container 1 is introduced into the groove 39A of the ring 3; an axial compression force applies the flange 12 to the conical wall 33 of the sealing skirt 31 and ensures perfect sealing of the assembly: the compression force is maintained thanks to an annular lug 32 presented by the ring 3, which annular lug 32 snaps into the annular groove 13 of the upper container 1. It can be seen that this assembly axially blocks the ring 3 relative to the upper container 1; in addition, the ring 3 is also prevented from rotating relative to the upper container 1: for this purpose, an anti-rotation device 15 (FIG. 1) is provided; it consists, for example, in a stop extending axially, in extension of the wall of the ring 3, towards the flange 12 of the upper container 1, said flange 12 having a notch for receiving said stop.

The lower groove 39B also defines a sealing skirt 35; the assembly of the ring 3 and the lower container 2 is carried out in a similar manner: the axial rim of the cover 21 is introduced into the groove 39B and the sealed assembly is maintained by an annular lug 34 of the ring 3 which comes snap onto the transverse edge of the rolled edge 28 of the cover 21; however, this sealed assembly allows the lower container 2 to rotate relative to the ring 3.

The ring 3 is provided internally with a tearing means; such a means of removal is visible in the figures 2 and 3; it comprises a support 36 extending transversely and carrying a finger 37; the finger 37 extends substantially orthogonal to the common axis of the two upper 1 and lower 2 receptacles, which is also, moreover, the axis of the ring 3; when the ring 3 is assembled to the lower container 2, the finger 37 of the ring 3 and the ring 26 of the cover 21 of the lower container 2 are arranged, radially and axially, so that, for at least one relative angular position of the two upper 1 and lower 2 receptacles, the finger 37 passes through the ring 26; as regards the support 36, the ring 26, surrounding the finger 37, is capable of abutting against the support 36 when the ring 3 and the lower container 2 are turned relative to one another.

The operation of the device according to the invention is simple.

As a first step, the ring 3 is assembled, as described above, with the lower container 2, fitted with its crimped cover 21, a product, for example a coloring cream, having been introduced into the lower container 2 before crimping its cover 21; in a second step, the upper container 1 is assembled, as described above, with the ring 3; the cover 21 of the lower container 2 constituting, together with the ring 3, a bottom for the upper container 1, the latter can be filled with a product, for example an oxidizing liquid, through the neck 11; the plug 4 is then screwed onto the neck 11; the assembly can then be stored, awaiting use.

For use of the coloring cream contained in the lower container 2, it is necessary to ensure a homogeneous mixture of the coloring cream and the oxidizing liquid that the upper container 1 contains; for this, it suffices to rotate, relative to one another, the upper 1 and lower 2 containers; the ring 3 being integral with the container 1, the finger 37 enters the ring 26 and, the rotational movement being continued, the pre-cut strip 22 is torn off, opening the lower container 2 in the manner of a can. It should be noted that the presence of the strip 22 torn off promotes the homogenization of the mixture during the stirring of the device, despite the high viscosity of the coloring cream, the metal strip 22 shearing products. It should also be noted that the relative displacement in rotation of the two containers does not in any way modify the interior volume of the containers, as is the case in certain prior devices whose containers also move axially, during their relative rotation, in bringing one closer to the other; no overpressure is therefore generated in the device according to the invention during its implementation, which is an additional advantage.

The mixing having been carried out, its distribution through the passage 42 can therefore be carried out, the shutter 5 having been removed.
