Description

The present invention relates to capsules for closing various containers, in particular bottles and tubes.

The invention applies more particularly to those of these capsules which are permanently mounted on the container to allow opening and closing by simple rotation of the external part of the capsule-DE-A-2644947.

The capsule of the invention aims to ensure that it internally delimits a continuous conduit for the flow of the fluid contained in the container, and this both when the capsule is in the closed position and in the open position for which it can form a pouring element.

In addition, the invention aims to ensure that the conduit defined inside the capsule, and the length of which varies between the closed position and the open position, is always perfectly sealed and, for this, the invention starts from the surprising discovery that there is a need for each opening and closing movement of the capsule to wipe parts of the conduit which slide relative to one another. Thus, the contents of the capsule cannot accidentally flow or come into contact with the atmosphere.

In addition, it has been noted that it is not sufficient, to ensure correct wiping of the duct parts, that these are displaced axially with respect to each other because this tends to form scratches, while wiping much more efficient is achieved when the duct parts to be moved them relative to each other follow a helical movement.

The invention also allows the implementation of different types of caps which can allow a directed flow of the product contained in the bottle or tube or even spraying or atomization of this product, the capsule ensuring in all designs a very closed effective of the bottle and, if necessary, preventing the actuation of a sprayer or atomizer cap.

L'invention est définie dans les revendications. The invention is defined in the claims.

Various other characteristics of the invention will also emerge from the detailed description which follows.

The capsule is intended to be mounted on a bottle 1 or another container which comprises a neck 2 having a groove 3 for a rod 4 of an envelope 5 which can thus rotate relative to the bottle 1, but without being able to be moved axially.

The casing 5 has internal axial ribs 6, the base 6a of which is supported and, therefore, serves to maintain a flange 7 formed at the foot of a sheath 8 having in its external wall a helical groove 9.

The groove 9 is used for housing a stud 10 formed inside a bell 11 preferably in the vicinity of a slot 12 of this bell to allow demolding of the upper part of the stud 10; on the other hand, the lower part of the side wall is flexible. The wall of the bell also has at least one key 13 housed between two ribs 6 of the envelope 5, so that the bell 11 is integral in rotation with said envelope 5.

We see from the above that by rotating the casing 5, this has the effect of causing the bell 11 to rotate, and, consequently, the stud 10 is moved in the helical groove 9, which causes the lifting or the lowering of the bell 11 according to the direction of rotation of the envelope 5.

To prevent rotation of the sheath 8, means are provided which may be constituted by ribs 14 and grooves 15 formed respectively from the internal wall of the sheath 8 and from the external wall of the neck 2.

Enfin, le fourreau 8 peut être vissé sur le goulot 2.It is also possible that the sheath is only forcibly engaged on the neck 2, or that the flange 7 is sufficiently tightened on the neck 2 so that the sheath 8 cannot rotate significantly. Finally, the sleeve 8 can be screwed onto the neck 2.

L'anneau supérieur 18 est, de son côté, plaqué contre une jupe 19 formée à l'intérieur de la cloche 11 à partir du dessus 20 de celle-ci.The drawing shows that the sheath 8 delimits an internal shoulder 16 from which are formed lower 17 and upper rings 18. The lower ring 17 is pressed against the internal wall of the neck 2 and therefore ensures sealing with that -this. The upper ring 18 is, for its part, pressed against a skirt 19 formed inside the bell 11 from the top 20 thereof.

The skirt 19 is extended upwards by a collar 21 which is guided in a labyrinth seal 22 that delimits the top 5a of the envelope 5, this seal bordering an opening 23 that it delimits.

The upper ring 18 of the sheath 8 has strips 24, for example radial, forming a support for a preferably conical plug 25 intended to cooperate with a complementary wall 26 defining an opening 27 at the top of the neck 21.

2.As explained above, when the envelope 5 is turned, while the various members described in the foregoing are in the position illustrated in FIG. 1, the stud 10 is driven in rotation and it therefore follows the helical groove 9, which causes the bell 11 to be raised and, consequently, the neck 21 of the latter slides between the seals 22 which provide the seal with its outer wall, so that the capsule is then in the position illustrated in FIG. 2.

On voit à la fig. 2 que le bouchon 25 qui est fixe est alors séparé de la paroi 26 de sorte qu'un passage continu est créé depuis l'intérieur du récipient jusqu'à l'ouverture 27.We see in fig. 2 that the stopper 25 which is fixed is then separated from the wall 26 so that a continuous passage is created from the interior of the container to the opening 27.

The drawing also clearly shows that the passage created from inside the container is a passage with a sealed wall. Indeed, the lower ring 17 seals with the neck 2, the upper ring 18 seals with the skirt 19 and the neck 21 leads to the opening 27.

The fluid contained in the bottle 2 cannot, in this way, spread inside the capsule, which prevents it from being soiled and which also prevents leaks from occurring when the fluid is poured through opening 27.

To ensure closure, the envelope 5 is rotated in the opposite direction to that corresponding to the opening until the wall 26 of the neck 21 is applied against the plug 25. During this movement, the skirt 19 slides on the wall of the upper ring 18, so that the seal is always ensured.

To avoid accidental opening, it is advantageous for a stop 28 to be formed from the inner wall of the top 20 of the bell and for a flexible tongue 29 to be formed by the sheath 8.

Fig. 1 shows that in the closed position of the capsule, the stop 28 is in abutment against the tongue 29, which creates a brake preventing the opening since it is necessary to exert a sufficient force on the envelope 5 to make it rotate in elastically deforming the tongue 29 at the start of rotation.

In a variant not shown, the sheath 8 can optionally be formed directly by the neck of the bottle, the skirt 19 of the bell 11 then taking support against the internal wall of said neck to ensure sealing during the movement of the bell 11.

The embodiment described in the foregoing allows a particularly inexpensive manufacture by injection molding of thermoplastic resin. Indeed, the casing 5, the bell 11 and the sheath 8, when the latter is provided, constitute three parts which are easy to produce by the technique of injection molding.

The assembly of the capsule is on the other hand extremely simple and can be carried out mechanically. In fact, the sheath 8, when it exists, is only threaded on the neck 2, the bell 11 is itself threaded on the sheath 8, the stud 10 being engaged in the helical groove 9 by elastic deformation due to the presence of the slot 12 and, finally, the casing 5 is itself threaded onto the bell 11, the rod 14 being snapped in by elastic deformation in the groove 3.

1 et 2.In fig. 3 to 6, the same reference numbers designate the same members as in FIGS. 1 and 2.

In fig. 3, the envelope 5 of the capsule is made up of a part with an external mantle 30 whose external shape advantageously corresponds to that of the bottle 1 or other container. The capsule is controlled by manually rotating the mantle 30, the movement of which is transmitted to the envelope 5 and by the latter to the other members described in the foregoing.

4, the casing 5 is connected to the neck 2 by means of a sheath 8, the base of which forms a disc 8a on which the casing 5 is snapped.

In this embodiment, the sheath 8 has a thread 31 allowing it to be screwed onto a corresponding thread 32 of the neck 2. The other parts of the capsule are produced in the same way as described with reference to FIGS. 1 and 2. This embodiment means that the capsule can optionally be assembled and disassembled since it is possible to screw and unscrew the sleeve 8.

4 selon lequel le fourreau 8 supporte l'enveloppe 5 par une bague 33 prolongeant le disque 8a.Fig. 5 illustrates a development of the embodiment of FIG. 4 according to which the sheath 8 supports the casing 5 by a ring 33 extending the disc 8a.

Egalement comme à la fig. 4, le fourreau 8 comporte un taraudage 31 destiné à le visser sur un filetage 32 du goulot 2.Also as in fig. 4, the sheath 8 has a thread 31 intended to screw it onto a thread 32 of the neck 2.

La bague 33 est prolongée par un anneau de rupture 34 formant organe d'inviolabilité en même temps qu'entretoise entre la capsule et le flacon 1.The ring 33 is extended by a rupture ring 34 forming a tamper-evident member at the same time as a spacer between the capsule and the bottle 1.

In addition to the above, the capsule in FIG. 5 comprises below the internal shoulder 16 of the sheath 8 a perforating member 35 in the form of a blade which is arranged above a film 36 closing the neck 2 sealingly.

When it is desired to have access to the product contained in the bottle 1, the rupture ring 34 is removed then the capsule is screwed by acting on its casing 5 until the internal shoulder 16 of the sheath 8 comes to bear on the top of the neck 2. During this movement, the perforating member 35 breaks the film 36. The capsule can then be used in the same manner as described in the above.

Fig. 6 illustrates a development of the invention according to which the envelope 5 of one of the embodiments of the capsule of the preceding figures is covered by a cover 37 fixed by its base 37a directly on the bottle 1, for example by snap-fastening. The cover 37 comprises at least one lumen 38, preferably two, giving access to the casing 5, the peripheral surface of which is advantageously knurled or otherwise made rough. The cover 37 has on the top a hole 39 for the passage of the neck 21 when the latter is raised at the time of actuation of the envelope 38 in the manner described in the foregoing.

It should be noted that the top of the neck 21 can be provided to present several openings 27 to each of which corresponds a plug 25 but, in this case, the plugs 25 are made of flexible material to be elastically deformed during the helical movement causing the opening and closing that these plugs must provide for each opening 27. In addition, the sheath 8 described in the foregoing can be formed directly by the neck 2 of a tube or other container filled by the bottom.

7 to 10, the casing 5 has internal axial ribs 6, the base 6a of which rests on a flange 7a formed by the neck 2 which delimits above said flange a sheath 8a having in its wall a helical groove 9.

La rainure 9 sert au logement d'au moins un plot 10 formé à l'intérieur d'une cloche 11.The groove 9 is used to house at least one stud 10 formed inside a bell 11.

In the realization of fig. 7 and 8, the bell 11 internally delimits a skirt 40 which is engaged at soft friction in a tight cylindrical part 41 of the sheath 8a. The skirt 40 is, moreover, connected by means of a ring 42 to a plug forming a pouring nozzle 43 delimiting a lateral pouring spout 44 whose reference 44a indicates the orifice.

The plug delimiting the end piece 43 has over a part of its height a cylindrical element 43a which can slide in a sleeve 45 of the casing 5.

As shown in fig. 7, in the rest position, the stud 10 is placed at the base of the helical groove 9 and, consequently, the pouring spout 44 of the plug forming the pouring nozzle 43 is disposed inside the sleeve 45, which ensures the closure.

The skirt 40 being engaged in the constricted cylindrical part 41 of the sheath 8a seals with the latter so that the product contained in the bottle 1 cannot escape, nor come to soil the inside of the bell 11, nor the interior of the envelope 5.

By rotating the casing 5 relative to the bottle 1, the internal axial ribs 6 of this casing drive at least one key 13 which the bell 11 has on the outside which is thus driven in rotation, which has the effect that the stud 10 circulates in the helical groove 9 of the sheath 8a causing the axial displacement of the bell to the position illustrated in FIG. 8 for which the cap forming the lateral pouring spout 44 is in the position of use, that is to say that it is possible that the product contained in the bottle 1 flows.

It is advantageous that the bell 11 is provided internally with a flexible stop 28 and that the sheath 8a has a tongue 29, the stop 28 and the tongue 29 being fitted relative to each other in the closed position as illustrated by fig. 7, which avoids untimely operation of the capsule by the locking performed.

In the above, the sheath 8a is shown as being formed by an extension of the neck 2. It would not be departing from the scope of the invention to bring the sheath 8a on top of the neck 2, that is to say in constituting it in the form of an independent part.

According to the modification of figs. 9 and 10, a sheath 8b has a smooth internal wall 46, the helical groove 9 being formed in the thickness of this sheath.

The sheath forms, at its base, a sleeve 47 whose internal wall delimits a rod 4a entering the groove 3 of the neck 2. The sleeve 47 also forms ribs and grooves 48 cooperating with corresponding ribs and grooves of the neck 2 so that the sheath 8b is rigidly connected to this neck without being able to turn or slide axially.

The sleeve 47 also has a groove 3a for the rod 4 of the envelope 5.

7 et 8.It would obviously not go beyond the scope of the invention to produce the sheath 8b from the neck 2 in the same way as illustrated in FIGS. 7 and 8.

7 and 8, the sheath 8b is surrounded by a bell 11 whose upward movement and descent is ensured in the same way as described above with reference to figs. 7 and 8, that is to say that the bell is rotated when the casing 5 is itself rotated, the rotational movement being transmitted to the bell 11 by the key or keys 13 engaged with the ribs internal axial 6.

In the embodiment shown, the bell 11 is open, at its top, to give access to a plug constituted by the head 49 of a pump or of a valve fixed inside the neck 2 or of the bottle 1 by means any known in the art to allow spraying or atomization of a liquid product contained in the bottle which optionally contains a propellant gas charge when the head 49 is intended to actuate a valve.

When the head 49 forming a plug is provided as illustrated in FIG. 10 of a lance 50, a notch 51 may be provided in the side wall of the bell 11.

9.As illustrated in the drawing, when the pump or valve controlled by the head 49 must not be actuated, the casing 5 is rotated so that the bell 11 is in the high position (fig. 10) so that it is not possible to significantly move the head 49. On the contrary, when the pump or the valve has to be actuated by the head 49, the casing 5 is first made to rotate to lower the bell 11 until the position illustrated in fig. 9.

11 and 12 illustrate a simplified version according to which the casing 5 directly forms the stud (s) while the helical groove 9 is formed by the bell 11 which has grooves internally and grooves 48 engaged with grooves and grooves 48a of neck 2.

In this embodiment, by rotating the casing 5, it causes the lifting, respectively the lowering, of the casing 11 which is guided axially by the ribs and grooves 48, 48a.

12.The bell 11 can be produced in accordance with one of the embodiments described in the foregoing, or else it can comprise a plug constituted by a hollow core 51 of which a lateral lumen 52 can be closed off by the base of a sleeve 45a formed by the envelope 5, sleeve which has, in its wall, a recess 53 opposite which the light 52 as well as a second light 52a can be brought as illustrated in FIG. 12.

12 l'écoulement est possible, le produit passant par la lumière 52, l'évidement 53 et la lumière 52a pour s'échapper vers l'extérieur par l'orifice 54.It can be seen from the above that in the position illustrated in FIG. 11 the base of the sleeve 45a closes the lumen 52 of the stopper, which prevents any flow of the product contained by the bottle 1, while in the position of FIG. 12 the flow is possible, the product passing through the light 52, the recess 53 and the light 52a to escape towards the outside through the orifice 54.

The invention is not limited to the exemplary embodiments, shown and described in detail, since various modifications can be made thereto without departing from its scope. In particular, the hollow core 51 may include, as shown, a lateral flow channel in place of the orifice 54.
