  • the present invention is not limited to the embodiments which have been described by way of non-exhaustive examples. It is possible to implement other basic components for the lead material and the wood material than the polystyrene methacrylate copolymer. In addition it is possible to give the pencil any type of configuration, without limitation to the hexagonal shape. It can be a circular, triangular, octagonal shape, without this list being exhaustive. It is also possible to use for the protective layer a thermoplastic material which not only is hot deformable (during removal of the mine) but does not solidify and remains flexible after complete cooling of the pencil, for example based on thermoplastic elastomer.

Claims (10)

  1. Verfahren zur kontinuierlichen Herstellung von Stiften zum Schreiben oder Kolorieren durch gleichzeitige Co-Extrusion, bestehend aus dem Co-Extrudieren eines ersten, Minenmaterial genannten beschickten thermoplastischen Materials und um jenes herum einer Schutzschicht genannten Zwischenschicht aus einem thermoplastischen Material, das frei von Treibmittel ist, und eines zweiten, Holzmaterial genannten thermoplastischen Materials, das ein Treibmittel enthält, und aus dem Kühlen der co-extrudierten thermoplastischen Materialien, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß der Verfestigungspunkt des thermoplastischen Materials, das die Schutzschicht bildet, unter dem Verfestigungspunkt des thermoplastischen Materials liegt, das das Minenmaterial bildet, derart, daß die Schutzschicht während des Schrumpfens des Minenmaterials beim Kühlen verformbar bleibt.
  2. Verfahren nach Anspruch 1 zur Herstellung von Stiften mit weicher Miene.
  3. Verfahren nach einem der Ansprüche 1 oder 2, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß der Abstand zwischen den Verfestigungspunkten des Minenmaterials und der Schutzschicht in der Größenordnung von 10 bis 20°C liegt.
  4. Verfahren nach einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 3, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß zum Absenken des Verfestigungspunktes der Schutzschicht man als Zusatz entweder ein thermoplastisches Elastomer oder ein Ethyl-Vinylacetat-Copolymer (EVA) einsetzt.
  5. Stift, erhalten durch gleichzeitige Co-Extrusion bestehend aus der Überlagerung eines Kerns aus einem ersten, Minenmaterial genannten thermoplastischen beschickten Material, einer Schutzschicht aus einem nicht expandierten thermoplastischen Material und einer Schicht aus einem zweiten, Holzmaterial genannten expandierten thermoplastischen Material, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß das thermoplastische Material, das die Schutzschicht bildet, einen Verfestigungspunkt besitzt, der unter jenem des thermoplastischen Materials liegt, das das Minenmaterial bildet.
  6. Stift nach Anspruch 5, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die Schutzschicht ein thermoplastisches Elastomer oder ein Ethyl-Vinylacetat-Copolymer (EVA) enthält.
  7. Stift nach Anspruch 5, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die Schutzschicht als thermoplastisches Material ein Styrolpolymer umfaßt.
  8. Stift nach Anspruch 6, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die Schutzschicht 70 bis 95% einer Styrolverbindung und 5 bis 30% eines thermoplastischen Elastomers oder eines Ethyl-Vinylacetat-Copolymers umfaßt.
  9. Stift nach Anspruch 5, gebildet durch die Überlagerung eines Kerns aus einem ersten, Minenmaterial genannten beschickten thermoplastischen Material, einer Schutzschicht aus einem nicht-expandierten thermoplastischen Material und einer Schicht aus einem Holzmaterial genannt expandierten thermoplastischen Material, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die Schutzschicht wärmeverformbar ist und nach Abkühlen elastisch bleibt.
  10. Stift nach Anspruch 9, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die Schutzschicht aus einem thermoplastischen Elastomer besteht.
