Oberhalb dieses Zuführschachtes 8 ist auf dem Gehäuseoberteil 4 ein Aufsatz 11 aufgesetzt, wobei in dem überdeckten Bereich die obere Fläche 4b des Gehäuseoberteiles 4 durch Herausnahme eines hier nicht dargestellten Gehäuseabschnittes zum Innenraum des Aufsatzes hin geöffnet ist. In besagtem Überdeckungsbereich ist eine untere Fläche 16 des aufgesetzten Aufsatzes 11 ebenfalls im wesentlichen geöffnet, so dass in den Innenraum des Aufsatzes 11 eingeschüttetes, sogenanntes Knüllmaterial von dem mit den Begrenzungswänden 13, 14, 15, 24 und 9, 10, 25, 26 gebildeten gemeinsamen Aufnahmeraum aus gezielt zum Schneidwerk 6 rutschen und durch selbiges in Streifen oder Partikel geschnitten werden kann. Um eine im wesentlichen störungsfreie Zufuhr des Knüllmateriales zum Schneidwerk zu gewährleisten, ist die besagte hintere Begrenzungsfläche 10 des Zuführschachtes 8, von der Oberkante des Gehäuseoberteiles 4 ausgehend zum Schneidwerk hin geneigt angeordnet. In Abhängigkeit von der Größe der Knäuel des Knüllmateriales kann es aber trotzdem zur Unterbrechung der Zuführung des Knüllmateriales zum Schneidwerk hin kommen.
Um dieses Problem mit kostengünstigen Mitteln zu lösen, sieht dieses Ausführungsbeispiel der Erfindung im Speziellen vor, dass im Innenraum des Aufsatzes 11 ein Materialschieber 17 angeordnet ist, welcher durch Betätigung, von oben herkommend das besagte Knüllmaterial in Richtung des Materialeinzugsspaltes 6d des Schneidwerkes 6 schiebt und notfalls an mindestens eine der Schneidwalzen 6a, 6b andrückt, so dass selbige das Knüllmaterial in Richtung Materialeinzugsspalt 6d mitreißt.

1 shows a portion of a shredder 1. In the lower housing part 2 with front door 3, a cutting unit 6 with cutting rollers 6a and 6b and associated scrapers 6c is arranged in the upper area, wherein the cutting unit 6 is assigned a drive unit 5. The cutting unit 6 is here essentially covered by a housing upper part 4 placed on top of the housing lower part 2 from above. In the front region 4a of the upper housing part 4, a feed gap 7 with boundary surfaces 7a and 7b is arranged, through which sheet-like material for comminution can be fed to the cutting unit.
Above the cutting unit 6, a feed chute 8 is provided up to the upper surface 4b of the upper housing part 4, the forward by a front boundary surface 9 and to the rear by a rear, to the cutting unit 6 inclined towards boundary surface 10 and not shown in this figure lateral walls 25 and 26, see Fig. 2, is limited. Above this feed chute 8 an attachment 11 is placed on the upper housing part 4, wherein in the covered area, the upper surface 4b of the upper housing part 4 is opened by removing a housing section, not shown, to the interior of the essay. In said overlap area, a lower surface 16 of the attached attachment 11 is also substantially open, so that in the interior of the article 11 poured, so-called crumpling of the formed with the boundary walls 13, 14, 15, 24 and 9, 10, 25, 26 common receiving space from deliberately slip to the cutting unit 6 and can be cut by the same in strips or particles. In order to ensure a substantially trouble-free supply of the crumpling material to the cutting mechanism, the said rear boundary surface 10 of the feed chute 8, starting from the upper edge of the upper housing part 4, starting inclined to the cutting unit. Depending on the size of the ball of Knüllmateriales but it may still come to interrupt the supply of the crumb to the cutting unit.
In order to solve this problem with cost-effective means, this embodiment of the invention provides in particular that in the interior of the article 11, a material slide 17 is arranged, which by pressing, coming from above said crimping material in Direction of the material feed-in gap 6d of the cutting unit 6 pushes and, if necessary, presses against at least one of the cutting rollers 6a, 6b, so that selbige entrains the crumpled material in the direction of material intake gap 6d.

Weitere technische Details des mit dem Ausführungsbeispiel erläuterten Erfindungsgegenstandes sind aus den zugehörigen Zeichnungen in Verbindung mit dem Bezugsziffernverzeichnis offenbart.

Die Erfindung ist nicht auf das beschriebene Ausführungsbeispiel beschränkt, sondern im Rahmen der Offenbarung vielfach variabel.

Claims (10)

  1. Document shredder with an attachment, which can be selectably placed on, for receiving and feeding documents, which document shredder comprises
    - a housing consisting of a housing lower part (2) and a housing upper part (4), as well as
    - a cutting mechanism (6), which is arranged in the upper region of the housing, with cutting rollers (6a, 6b) and strippers (6c) together with an associated drive unit (5),
    - as well as switching and control means,

    and a feed gap (7, 7a, 7b) is provided above the cutting mechanism (6) in the front region (4a) of the housing upper part (4), and the housing lower part (2) contains or receives means for collecting the comminuted material, wherein the upper surface (4b) of the housing upper part (4) has above the cutting mechanism (6) a selectively removable and reinsertable housing section part, wherein the upper surface (4b) of the housing upper part (4) forms the open region when the housing section part is withdrawn and wherein a feed shaft (8) going out from the cutting mechanism (6) to reach to the open region of the upper surface (4b) is provided and the open region of the upper surface (4b) is covered by an attachment (11), which is placed on the housing upper part (4) and the lower surface (16) of which is open substantially and particularly in the said covering region, wherein the interior space of the attachment (11) and the feed shaft (8) form a common receiving space and wherein a non-rotating material pusher (17, 18, 19, 20, 21 and 22) is arranged to be integrated in the attachment (11).
  2. Document shredder with an attachment according to claim 1, characterised in that the material pusher (17) consists of two limbs (19) which are arranged laterally in the attachment (11) and which are connected together relative to the front surface (15) by a strip (22) arranged to be oriented substantially parallel to the axes of rotation of the cutting rollers (6a, 6b).
  3. Document shredder with an attachment according to claim 1 or 2, characterised in that the material pusher (17) is mounted to be translationally displaceable.
  4. Document shredder with an attachment according to claim 1 or 2, characterised in that the material pusher (17) is mounted to be pivotable.
  5. Document shredder with an attachment according to claim 1, 2 or 3, characterised in that the limbs (19) of the material pusher (17) are arranged to be displaceably guided in or at the side surfaces (14) of the attachment (11).
  6. Document shredder with an attachment according to claim 1, 2 or 4, characterised in that the limbs (19) are fastened by their other ends respectively at a rotary bearing (20), wherein an actuating shaft is associated with the bearing (20).
  7. Document shredder with an attachment according to claim 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 or 6, characterised in that the material pusher (17) is a unitary yoke (18).
  8. Document shredder with an attachment according to one or more of the preceding claims, characterised in that the feed shaft (8) provided in the housing upper part (4) is formed by a lateral walls (25, 26), a front boundary surface (9) and a rear boundary surface (10) inclined forwardly towards the cutting mechanism (6), wherein the rear boundary surface (10) ends at a small spacing in front of the outer circumferential line of the rear cutting roller (6a) and the notional prolongation of the substantially planar, rear boundary surface (10) is tangential to the rear cutting roller (6a) at the outer circumferential line thereof and wherein the rear boundary surface (10) is at the same time the lower abutment for the movement of the material pusher (17).
  9. Document shredder with an attachment according to one or more of the preceding claims, characterised in that the notional prolongation of the movement path (27) on which the middle part of the displaceable material pusher (17), particularly the strip (22), is moved extends substantially through the region of overlap of the cutting rollers (6a and 6b).
  10. Document shredder with an attachment according to one or more of the preceding claims, characterised in that the boundary surface (7a) of the feed gap (7) and the front boundary surface (9) of the feed shaft (8) are a common component.
