Definitions
- the invention relates to a centrifugal casting mold with a housing as well as an insert which can be arranged in the housing and a End attachment, the end attachment at least two pivotable Has centrifugal weight elements, which based on the Centrifugal casting mold are arranged radially inside, as well as a Method for detaching an end cap from a Centrifugal casting mold.
- Known rotary or centrifugal casting molds often have hollow, cylindrical housing in which a hollow, cylindrical insert is arranged. Such an application must be made in held in the housing and against an annular shoulder in the Housing pressed.
- end covers on an end portion of the housing appropriate.
- One type of end cover has one Locking ring with outer, ramp-shaped flanks and one outer cover, which on the end portion of the housing is screwed on.
- the outer cover has one Cam surface that interacts with the ramps to move the locking ring axially inward to the Use to jam in place when the Locking ring is rotated.
- To move the ring is one manually operated assembly wheel unit (for small molds) or a hydraulically operated driving ratchet mechanism (for large molds) required.
- the Locking ring to be able to withstand high temperatures endure.
- Another type of end attachment such as that of the JP 57127565, it has centrifugal weights that which secure the end attachment to the centrifugal casting mold. If the Centrifugal casting mold is rotated, the pivot Centrifugal weights and engage in recesses on the inside of the Centrifugal mold.
- centrifugal casting molds do not work optimally or are complex to carry out or assemble.
- centrifugal casting mold with an end cap provided that is not forcibly assembled or must be dismantled, the higher temperatures withstands and the handling or usability of the Centrifugal casting mold not hindered.
- the end cap can be an add-on element that fits with the housing is connectable, and have a centrifugal weight carrier to which the flyweights are attached directly or indirectly. This simplifies both the manufacture and the attachment or removing the end cap.
- the add-on element can accommodate the flyweight carrier, which comes into contact with an end area of the insert and on the the centrifugal weight elements are pivotally attached.
- the Centrifugal weight elements can attack the housing. Simple in production, however, it is when on the attachment or several investment areas are provided.
- the investment area is preferably designed as a contact surface, which in essentially radially inwards towards the shoulder is directed.
- the attachment can be directly or indirectly on the housing apply and have an investment area so that preferably no other components between the housing and the attachment must be provided.
- Add-on element also in its investment area Contact surface that is at least essentially radial and extending axially towards the end region improves this the possibility of intervention of the investment area of the Centrifugal weight element.
- the contact surface is at least substantially frustoconical. In addition, this favors the intrusion or attack of the Centrifugal weight elements, since it prevents counter-jamming.
- flyweight elements counter to their caused by the rotation of the centrifugal mold Movement are loaded so that when the Centrifugal casting mold not rotating, in a neutral position or a position in which they do not engage the attachment, are held or brought. If not, and are the flyweight elements simply by Rotation of the centrifugal casting mold is provided pivotally or there is the possibility that despite the (spring) load, the Flyweight elements cannot disengage, so be provided that preferably each flyweight element has an area on which a tool acts in this way can that the centrifugal weight element is disengaged or can be pivoted.
- an inner or an on each centrifugal weight element outer arm may be provided, the inner arm preferably can interact with the contact area of the attachment element and the outer arm is designed so that the tool on it can attack.
- the tool has one at least essentially cylindrical body with a plurality of outwards outstanding projections, so this can be done with the Areas or outer arms of the flyweight elements cooperate that these pivot when the tool is rotated.
- FIGS. 1 and 2 in which a Centrifugal casting mold 10 is shown, which is a hollow, cylindrical has outer housing 12 which has an inner, annular, forms shoulder 14 facing the axis.
- a hollow, cylindrical insert 16 is inserted into the housing 12.
- the Insert has a main body 18 with a larger one Diameter and a neck 20 with a smaller Diameter on.
- An end cap 22 has a hollow, cylindrical flyweight carrier 24 or an inner ring which is a plurality (preferably three) of flyweight elements 26 are attached, and a ring or an add-on element 28 on.
- the attachment element 28 has an inner end region 29, which rests on the housing 12 when the add-on element 28 is on an end portion of the housing 12 by a plurality of Screws (not shown) is attached, which itself axially extending screw recesses 32.
- the Add-on element 28 receives the flyweight carrier 24, and the The flyweight carrier 24 engages an end region of the insert 16 on.
- the attachment element 28 has a hollow, cylindrical one Body 34 which has an annular flyweight element abutment surface or forms a contact surface 36. Like it can be seen upright in Fig.
- the contact surface 36th frusto-conical, essentially radially inwards and axially towards the inner end region 29 and towards the shoulder 14 facing, and extends radially from an outer edge 38 inward and axially away from shoulder 14 to an inner one Edge 40.
- the flyweight carrier 24 has a plurality (preferably three) cut out areas or slots 42, of which each receives a corresponding flyweight element 26.
- Each The centrifugal weight element 26 is based on the add-on element 28 arranged radially inside and has a main body 44 a mounting hole 46 at its axial outer end portion 48 on.
- Each centrifugal weight element 26 is pivotable on one Pin 43 arranged, which extends through the mounting opening 46th extends and which through pin holders 45 and 47 opposite sides of the flyweight element 26 is appropriate.
- Each flyweight element 26 has an arm 50 on which is essentially an axially inner End portion 52 of the main body 44 extends radially outward.
- a ring contact surface or contact area 54 is on the arm 50 provided to engage the contact surface 36. Like it can be seen upright in Fig. 2 is the investment area 54 substantially radially outward and from the shoulder 14 turned away.
- the flyweight carrier 24 should be on the Hit the end portion of the insert 16 to an input tube to form the center of the centrifugal mold 10, so that no liquid metal can drip into a loose seam and settle there builds up over time.
- the inner end of the The flyweight carrier 24 should have the attachment 20 of the insert 16 loosely enclose (not necessarily completely) the Maintain alignment of the end cap 22.
- This end attachment 22 does not have to be driven in hydraulically and removed and it can withstand high temperatures.
- the centrifugal weight elements 26 are not radially from the centrifugal mold 10 and therefore do not hinder the Movement of the centrifugal mold 10 and do not prevent the Use of the centrifugal casting mold 10 in a mold magazine.
- each centrifugal weight element 70 is attached to a tool 76 engaging area and each flyweight element 70 cooperates with tool 76 to disengage from the Attachment 28 to get when the tool in the direction of Insert 16 is moved.
- each has The centrifugal weight element 70 has an outer arm 72 which extends extends substantially axially away from its inner arm 74.
- An attachment and removal tool 76 has a hollow, tapered, cylindrical base body 78, which a frustoconical surface 80 forms which on the End areas of the arms 72 attacks. If the tool 76 in The arms 72 are moved in the direction of the end cap 22 forced radially outward, causing the inner arms 74 to be radial swivel inwards. This causes the Centrifugal weight elements 70 out of engagement with add-on element 28 brought, and allows the flyweight carrier 24 and the centrifugal weight elements 70 are pulled out axially or into the Centrifugal mold 10 to be used.
- each flyweight element 90 has a Has arm 92 for engaging a tool 94 and each The centrifugal weight element 90 cooperates with the tool 94 in order to to pivot out of engagement with the attachment member 28 when tool 94 is rotated about its central axis.
- the Tool 94 has a hollow, cylindrical base body 96 with a plurality of stops 98, which differ from this Extend radially. When the tool 94 is rotated attack the stops 98 on the arms 92 and force them radially apart, causing the inner part of the Centrifugal weight elements 90 swings radially inwards. This causes the flyweight member 90 to disengage from the Attachment 28 is brought and allows it Centrifugal weight carrier 24 and the centrifugal weight elements 90 axially pulled out or inserted into the centrifugal mold 10 become.
- the inner end regions of the centrifugal weight elements 26, 70, 90 radially outwards when the centrifugal mold 10 is rotated.
- the Centrifugal weight elements 26, 70, 90 work with the contact surfaces 36 of the attachment 28 together to cause the
- the centrifugal weight carrier 24 extends axially in the direction of the insert 16 move while pressing the insert 16 against the shoulder 14.
