Definitions

  • the present invention relates to a locking device for a timepiece, this device comprising a first mobile rotating about an axis, the first mobile being capable of immobilizing a second mobile in first and second positions respectively defined by first and second stops against which comes to rest said second mobile.
  • FIG. 1 represents this prior art.
  • This figure shows an escape wheel 22, of center 30 and provided with teeth 31, this wheel cooperating with an anchor 3.
  • This wheel is riveted on the last pinion of the work train, which wheel is driven by a spring barrel.
  • the shape of the teeth 31 is such that the pulse plane lies partially on the tooth and on the anchor to form a shared impulse escapement or Swiss anchor.
  • the anchor 3 is driven on a rod which pivots at 12.
  • the anchor is formed of two notched arms in which are fitted an entry pallet 16 and an output pallet 17.
  • the anchor 3 further comprises a fork 18 which cooperates with an ankle 19 mounted on a large plate 20.
  • the fork further comprises two horns 32 and 33.
  • the large plate integral with a rocker (not shown), pivots about an axis 2.
  • the rod of the Anchor 3 sees its limited travel by two stops or pins 4 and 5.
  • the anchor 3 At rest, that is to say while the large plate 20 traverses its supplementary arc, the anchor 3 is positioned against one or other of the limit stops 4 and 5. During this period of time, it it may happen that a shock spreads the anchor from its initial position of support against one or the other limit stops. This tilting tends to prematurely bring the anchor against the other limit stop. In such a case and when a sting - which will be described below - is missing, the ankle 19 of the large plateau 20, at the end of its additional downward arc, will no longer meet the entry but the reverse of one of the two horns 32 and 33. This will result in the immediate stop of the balance and the timepiece. This defect is called the reversal. It is, it is recalled, the moment when the ankle 19 of the large plate 20 accidentally encounters the reverse of the horn 32 or 33, in place of the entrance of the fork 18.
  • the stinger 35 and the small plate 1 constitute an example of a locking device that can be encountered in a timepiece since, when the large plate travels its supplementary arc, the anchor is locked and can not switch over. another position.
  • This device to use the generic terms used in the first paragraph of this description, therefore comprises a first mobile 1 rotating about an axis 2, the first mobile being capable of immobilizing a second mobile 3 in first and second defined positions respectively by first 4 and second 5 stops against which bears said second mobile 3.
  • Document is also known GB 679 416 , an anchor escapement in which two stops are fixed on the horns of the anchor and are intended to abut against a crown segment integral with the balance shaft so as to prevent the anchor from being overturned and in which the faces active of each stop and the corresponding horn are located in the same plane.
  • the object of the present invention is to propose a new form of locking device that can be applied both to the exhaust that has just been described and other forms of escapement or mechanisms used in watchmaking. If we observe well in Figure 1, we see that the angular excursion of the anchor rod is of the order of 15 ° which allows the known locking device to work well, the dart 34 can engage safely and with sufficient clearance in the notch 36 of the small plate 1. In the case however where another type of exhaust is used, for example the Robin exhaust which will be discussed later, the angular excursion of the anchor is much smaller, of the order of only 5 °, so that the proper operation of the conventional locking device is no longer assured, the sting may then touch the notch of the small plate and s' bow against it then causing the exhaust to stop.
  • the locking device of the present invention is remarkable in that the first mobile is a circular plate surrounded by a skirt having inner and outer walls, said skirt having a notch arranged to be traversed by a fixed finger on the second mobile, the second mobile being immobilized in the first position when it rests on the first stop and that its finger adjoins the inner wall of the skirt, and in the second position when it is supported on the second stop and that his finger adjoins the outer wall of said skirt.
  • the locking device comprises a first mobile 1 rotating about an axis 2, and a second mobile 3.
  • This second mobile 3 can be immobilized by the first mobile 1 in first and second positions respectively defined by the support of the second mobile 3 on first and second stops 4 and 5.
  • the figures show that the first mobile 1 is a circular plate 6 a skirt 7 having an inner wall 8 and an outer wall 9.
  • This skirt 7 has a notch 10 arranged in such a way that a finger 11, fixed on the second mobile 3 is able to pass through said cut to pass from the inside the skirt.
  • FIGS. 6, 7 and 10 clearly show that the second mobile 3 is immobilized in the first position when it is resting on the first stop 4 and that its finger 11 is adjacent to the inner wall 8 of the skirt 7.
  • Figures 4, 5 and 9 show that the second mobile 3 is immobilized in the second position when it bears on the second stop 5 and that its finger 11 adjoins the outer wall 9 of the skirt 7.
  • the second mobile 3 can be locked in one or the other position with play or without play, this depending on the dimensional dimensions given to the various elements involved in the locking device.
  • the present invention may have two embodiments.
  • the first embodiment is illustrated in Figures 2 to 8.
  • the second mobile 3 is provided with an angular movement ⁇ and is articulated around a pivot center 12.
  • Figures 2 and 3 show that when the finger 11 the second mobile 3 faces the notch 10 of the skirt 7 of the first rotating mobile 1, the second mobile 3 can move freely by an angle ⁇ , which brings it from the stop 4 to the stop 5 or vice versa .
  • the second embodiment is illustrated by FIGS. 9 and 10.
  • the second mobile 3 is provided with a rectilinear movement according to the arrow R. It can be supported either on the first stop 4 (FIG. 10) or on the second stop 5 (FIG. 9) and its finger 11 moves radially to the first rotary mobile 1.
  • This first mobile comprises, as in the first embodiment, a circular plate 6 surrounded by a skirt 7 having inner and outer walls 8 and 9.
  • a notch 10 made in the skirt 7 allows the finger 11 to pass from the inner wall to the outer wall of the skirt.
  • the second mobile 3 can be immobilized in a first position (FIG.
  • An escape wheel 22 with pointed teeth 40 is seen.
  • An anchor 3 articulated at 12 carries two vanes 16 and 17 and a fork 18.
  • the vanes 16 and 17 cooperate with the teeth 40 of the wheel 22.
  • the vanes have only a rest function and therefore receive no impetus from the teeth of the wheel.
  • the fork 18 cooperates with a pin 19 mounted on a large plate 20 which rotates about an axis 2 which is also the axis of a sprung balance not shown here.
  • the large plate 20 is equipped with a pulse pallet 21 which is propelled, at each alternation, by a tooth 40 of the wheel 22.
  • the travel of the anchor is limited by two stops 4 and 5.
  • Robin escapement uses a classic dart cooperating with a no less classic small tray equipped with a notch.
  • the angular trajectory of the anchor is strongly limited, that is to say about 5 °, which entails the risk of jamming mentioned in the preamble of this description.
  • the person skilled in the art had to spend a lot of time adjusting the system to make it viable, which quickly discouraged its use in series.
  • the present invention provides a solution to the problem that arises and allows therefore to propose a Robin escapement that is exploitable industrially and even in series.
  • the large plate 20 is secured to the first rotating mobile 1 cooperating with the second mobile 3, these mobiles being executed according to the invention.
  • the mobile 1 comprises a skirt 7 rotating about an axis 2, the connection between the skirt and the axis being preferably made by at least one radius 6 which replaces the originally planned circular plate.
  • the exhaust is presented just before the start of the pulse.
  • the tooth 41 of the wheel 22 is still at rest on the entry pallet 16 of the anchor 3.
  • the large plate 20 and the second mobile 1 which is connected to it rotate in the direction of the arrow A.
  • the anchor or second mobile 3 is driven by the pin 19 and rotates in the direction of the arrow B.
  • the finger 11 rotates in the direction of the arrow C and is passing through the notch 10, the inner wall 8 to the outer wall 9 of the skirt 7.
  • the tooth 41 is disengaged from the pallet 16
  • the wheel 22 rotates according to the arrow D and the tooth 42 gives a pulse to the pallet 21 of the large plate 20.
  • ankle 19 then brings the fork 18 resting on the second stop 5 and the tooth 42 resting on the output pallet 17.
  • the large plate 20 traverses its additional arc and the second mobile or anchor 3 is immobilized in its second position since pressed on the second stop 5 while the finger 11 adjoins the outer wall 9 of the skirt 7.
  • the large plate 20 turns back and turns in the opposite direction to the arrow A.
  • Its pin 19 tilts the fork 18 of the anchor 3 which abuts against the first stop 4, as seen in Figure 13.
  • the finger 11 then adjoins the inner wall 8 of the skirt 7 and the anchor 3 is immobilized in its first position since it is pressed simultaneously against the first stop 4.
  • Figures 11 to 13 clearly show the advantages provided by the invention since the finger 11 connected to the anchor 3 passes from the inner side to the outer side of the skirt by the notch 10 formed in said skirt without any risk of hanging or bracing.
  • FIG. 13 the angle traveled by the anchor 3 when it passes from the first 4 to the second stop 5 has been indicated. This angle is well on the order of 5 ° which prohibits any use of the conventional system preventing overturning and consisting of a small plate cooperating with a stinger.
  • the exhaust Robin is now exploitable without any risk of blockage, this operation can be achieved industrially.
