Guide rail for a roller shutter having a substantially closed profile which comprises an opening to receive end sections of the bars of the roller shutter and in which a security element (6) is disposed such that the security element engages into the end section of a roller bar (7) when the roller shutter is deflected perpendicularly to the direction of movement,
    characterised in that
    the security element (6) comprises a holding part (61) which is mounted in a rotatable manner in the guide rail (2), and a claw head (62) which extends into the interior of the guide rail (2), wherein the claw tip is disposed such that it is at a spaced disposition from the roller bar (7) when the roller shutter is not subjected to loads but is engaged with the roller bar (7) when the roller shutter is pulled outwards.
  2. Guide rail as claimed in Claim 1, characterised in that an inner limb (24) of the guide rail (2) substantially has a hook-shaped upper section in which a recess (30) is formed in which the holding part (61) of the security element (6) engages.
  3. Guide rail as claimed in Claim 2, characterised in that the recess (30) in the inner limb (24) of the guide rail (2) is in the form of a figure eight, wherein the holding part (61) is maintained in a rotatable manner in the lower circular segment of the recess.
  4. Guide rail as claimed in Claim 2 or 3, characterised in that a tab-shaped element (45) is attached on an inner return (28) on the hook-shaped upper portion of the inner limb (24) of the guide rail (2), which tab-shaped element maintains the claw head (62) in its original position on the inner limb (24) of the guide rail (2).
  5. Guide rail as claimed in any one of Claims 1 to 4, characterised in that the claw head (62) is in the shape of a pointed steel needle or of a steel lamella or of a sharply-ground eccentric.
  6. Guide rail as claimed in any one of Claims 1 to 5, characterised in that the holding part (61) of the security element (6) is spherical or cylindrical.
  7. Guide rail as claimed in any one of Claims 1 to 6, characterised in that the profile of the guide rail is substantially surrounded by hollow chambers (31, 32, 33).
  8. Guide rail as claimed in Claim 7, characterised in that a first hollow chamber (31) is provided on the base (21) of the guide rail (2) and a second hollow chamber (32) is provided on the outer limb (22) of the guide rail (2) and said first and second hollow chambers form an L-shape having two buckle points (34, 35) which are at a spaced disposition with respect to each other.
  9. Guide rail as claimed in Claim 8, characterised in that a third hollow chamber (33) is disposed on an inner limb (24) of the guide rail (2) so as to overlap with the first hollow chamber (31) on the base (21) of the guide rail (2), whereby an increased buckle resistance is achieved at the transition from the base (21) to the inner limb (24).
  10. Guide rail as claimed in any one of Claims 1 to 9, characterised in that the guide rail (2) is formed integrally with an outer shell of the window frame.
  11. Guide rail as claimed in Claim 10, characterised in that an outer limb (22) of the guide rail (2) becomes an outer limb (13) of a covering region (1) of the outer shell of the window frame, without producing any edges.
  12. Roller shutter assembly having a guide rail as claimed in any one of Claims 1 to 11 and a roller shutter, characterised in that the roller bars (7) of the roller shutter comprise a groove (71) into which the security element (6) engages.
