Abstract

Eine Wasserabführeinrichtung (10) für eine Papiermaschine oder dergleichen, insbesondere für eine befilzte Presse (12) einer solchen Papiermaschine, umfasst eine sich zumindest im wesentlichen über die Maschinenbreite erstreckende Auffangwanne (14), die Auffangwanne (14) eine unter Umgebungsdruck stehende, das ankommende Wasser (16) aufnehmende erste Kammer (18) und eine mit Vakuum beaufschlagte, mit der ersten verbundene zweite Kammer (20) aufweist, in die das sich in der ersten Kammer (18) ansammelnde Wasser (16) gesaugt und aus der das Wasser (16) schließlich abgeführt wird. Bei einer Wasseraufnahmevorrichtung wird die Effizienz dadurch verbessert, dass die Wasseraufnahmevorrichtung von wenigstens einem, in den Zwickel zwischen der oberen Presswalze und dem Entwässerungsband hineinragenden und quer zur Faserstoffbahn verlaufenden Saugkanal gebildet wird, welcher mit einer Unterdruckquelle verbunden ist.
