Dies bewirkt, dass beim Beginn einer Verpressung die Klemmbacken und damit die eigentlichen Klemmflächen gegeneinander in Längsrichtung etwas verschoben sein können. Dies ergibt dann eine ungenaue Verpressung des Fittings mit dem Rohr. Zudem besteht die Gefahr, dass Fitting und/oder Rohr beim Beginn der Verpressung so beschädigt werden, dass eine dichtende Verbindung nicht gewährleistet ist. In der Figur 1 ist ein Pressgerät mit zugehöriger, auswechselbarer Presszange in Ansicht
dargestellt. Das Pressgerät 2 umfasst eine Antriebseinheit und eine Verbindungseinheit
zum Verbinden mit einer Presszange 1. Die Verbindungseinheit besteht aus zwei
Halteplatten 22. Die Presszange 1 wird mit ihren zwei T-förmigen Trägerplatten 11, 11'
zwischen die Halteplatten 22 eingeschoben. Alsdann wird ein Verbindungsbolzen 22
durch die Halteplatten und eine Aufnahmeöffnung 112 an den T-förmigen Trägerplatten
11, 11' durchgestossen und gesichert. Das Pressgerät ist somit zur Verwendung bereit.
Die Presszange 1 kommt bei Betätigung mit ihren beiden Schwenkarmen 12 an
Anlageflächen 23 am Gerät 2 zum anliegen. Beim weiteren Zurückziehen der Presszange
1 werden die Schwenkarme 12 nach seitwärts aussen gestossen und damit die Pressung

beiden T-förmigen Trägerplatten 11, 11' schwenkbar gelagert mittels je einem
Lagerbolzen 13, 13', welche in den Bolzenlagerungen 113 113' gehalten sind. Die
Schwenkarme 12, 12' bilden im vorderen Teil Klemmbacken 14, 14', welche
gegeneinander gerichtete Pressflächen 15, 15' aufweisen. Die Pressflächen 15, 15'
bilden im geschlossenen Zustand der Presszange eine Oeffnung, welche annähernd dem
Durchmesser der zu verpressenden Rohre resp. Verbindungsmuffen entspricht. Diese
Oeffnung ist durch vordere Stirnkanten 16 und hintere Stirnkanten 17 begrenzt. Im
geschlossenen Zustand liegen die Stirnkanten beider Klemmbacken aufeinander. Die
Lagerbolzen 13 können mittels Sicherungsringen 131 an den T-förmigen Trägerplatten
11, 11' gesichert sein.FIG. 2 shows the

Lagerschale 182, 182', welche den Führungsbolzen 183 je um weniger als die Hälfte
umfängt. Die ist notwendig, da die Schwenkarme 12, 12' bei der Betätigung um die
Schwenklager 132 geschwenkt werden und sich damit ein wenig um den
Führungsbolzen 183 drehen. Da der Führungsbolzen die beiden Lagerbereiche 181, 181'

symmetrisch führt. Somit werden die Klemmbacken 14, 14' mit den Pressflächen 15,
15' ebenfalls exakt symmetrisch geschwenkt und jeder Verpressung erfolgt gleich

Der Führungsbolzen 183 ist nun in den Lagerschalen 182, 182' drehbar gehalten, wobei
er mit seinen Anschlagflächen 1832 von den Bolzenführungsflächen 185 durch
Anschlagen geführt wird. Der Führungsbolzen 183 wird so kurz ausgeführt, dass er im
Lagerbereich einwandfrei gehalten ist und dabei mit seinen Stirnseiten nicht in Berührung
