Die Erfindung löst diese Aufgabe durch eine Preßzange mit den Merkmalen des Anspruchs 1. Dabei werden die zum Verpressen aufgewendeten Kräfte durch die Formteile besser über den Umfang verteilt in die Teile der Rohrverbindung eingetragen mit der Folge, daß unter Vermeidung von Materialverquetschungen und damit einhergehenden Beschädigungen des Materialgefüges eine saubere Umformung mit weitgehend radialer Ausrichtung der einwirkenden Kräfte erfolgt.The pressing tongs according to the invention produce pressed pipe connections, in particular with a circular basic shape are particularly accurate. Die Preßzange umfaßt ferner einen Formeinsatz 7, der von drei Formteilen 8,9,10 gebildet ist, die in Schließstellung gemeinsam eine Formöffnung 11 umgrenzen. Die beiden Preßbacken 1,2 sind durch eine zwischen diesen wirksame, unterhalb des ortsfesten Formteils 10 abgestützte Feder 21, z.B. eine Spiraldruckfeder, in Schließrichtung vorgespannt, so daß nach dem Aufsetzen der Preßzange auf die zu verpressenden Teile der Rohrverbindung die Preßzange auf diesen Teilen einen Selbsthalt erlangt und losgelassen werden kann, um eine Zangenantriebsvorrichtung (nicht dargestellt) mittels eines fluchtende Bohrungen 22,23 in den Verbindungsplatten 3,4 durchgreifenden Querbolzens anschließen zu können. Die Führungsteile 26,27 sind bevorzugt über Halteschrauben 35,36 (Fig. 6) festgelegt, so daß sie lösbar und gegen Ersatzteile bzw. Führungsteile mit anderen Formausnehmungen austauschbar sind. Die Austauschbarkeit ist auch für die Formteile 8,9,10 gegeben, die ebenfalls durch Schrauben lösbar festgelegt sind. Die Schrauben 35,36 legen dabei das ortsfeste Formteil 10 fest, und die Formteile 8,9 sind über Schrauben an den Preßbacken 1,2 festgelegt, von denen die für das Formteil 8 veranschaulicht und mit 38 bezeichnet ist.The
Bei geöffneter Preßzange (Fig. 1) werden die Teile 28,29,30 der Formverbindung in die Preßzange eingelegt, wobei die Führungsteile 26,27 eine exakte Festlegung der Teile in der Preßzange in axialer Richtung herbeiführen. Dies hat zur Folge, daß die Formrippen an den Formteilen 8,9,10 exakt zu jenen Formeinsenkungen passen, die in der Stützhülse 28 vorgesehen sind.
