Definitions
- the invention relates to a container closure according to Preamble of claim 1, also a device for the production of a container closure according to the preamble of claim 18.
- Container closures and devices for their manufacture are known. Have closures of this type the disadvantage that they are the container to be closed not safe in all cases with hot filling to lock. It is possible that the container is air draws. That is, the one filled with hot content Container with a container closure of the type mentioned here is closed after cooling the content none or only one insufficient vacuum. This is because that the sealing insert does not open the mouth closes securely.
- DE 1 942 312 A describes a container closure with a sealing insert with a ring area known, the ring area on a Edge of the container rests.
- the disadvantage is that it when using this sealing insert to a The container may burst.
- the container closure draws is characterized by the fact that he has an embossed Sealing insert is provided, which is a circumferential Has ring area, the at least one groove includes, which - from the central region of the sealing insert seen from - up to one in the ring area the sealing insert provided with the Edge of the container cooperating compression zone extends.
- the ring area lies on a die Mouth opening surrounding edge of the container, if it is closed.
- the compression zone should record the following:
- a container closure is used to close a container placed on its mouth area, so that the bottom of the closure the mouth opening covers.
- the lock points at this time still no thread in its side wall.
- the container closure to the mouth area molding the container becomes a deep-drawing process performed during which the bottom of the closure pressed onto the mouth opening and the side wall area immediately adjacent to the floor is subjected to a deep-drawing process. Only now is in a suitable known manner, for example with rollers, the thread in the side wall introduced the closure respectively formed.
- the shutter is used during the ver closing process with a high force on the mouth area of the container so that the Compression zone in the ring area compressed becomes.
- the at least one groove a connection between the inside of the container and the compression zone can produce. exceeds the pressure inside the container can be a limit Compression zone are deformed so that a blow off external pressure is made possible. On Bursting of the container can thus be safely avoided.
- An embodiment of the container closure is preferred, which is characterized in that the compression zone by at least one of them Ring area outgoing ring bead is formed the interior enclosed by the side walls of the closure, i.e. towards the the edge of the closure surrounding the mouth opening projects.
- This configuration of the compression zone can especially the compression behavior be adjusted well.
- the sealing insert can cause the springback behavior influenced in the compression zone become. Narrow, high ring beads can be compressed more be considered broad low.
- the sealing insert has a larger outside diameter has than the mouth opening to be closed of the container.
- An area of the gasket insert protrudes laterally over the edge of the container that surrounds the mouth opening.
- the Sealing insert is with at least one in the peripheral area provided recess provided at an overpressure inside the container allow a blow-off, i.e. an exit from Allow gas and liquid to burst of the container is avoided. Nevertheless, it is ensured that the container lock the container securely concludes.
- the sealing insert covering the edge of the container spanned fixes the container closure on the container so that even on the side Impact the tightness or the Completion of the mouth opening is guaranteed. On this way air can be drawn, which is an undesirable one Sucking in air at a negative pressure in the container be avoided.
- a device proposed that mentioned in claim 18 has a stamp and a this surrounding sleeve, which serve to im Container closure provided seal in one To produce embossing processes. It is also envisaged that the stamp on its the bottom of the container closure facing end face at least one encircling depression and / or at least one encircling Projection includes that in the later Ring area of the sealing insert of the container closure is arranged, and that the stamp on has an annular groove on its end face.
- the device is characterized in that in the Annular groove is arranged at least one web.
- the embossing process can be the one that forms the sealing insert Penetrate plastic material into the recess, see above that in the edge area of the sealing insert a compression zone is formed. This device brings and ensures the advantages explained in more detail above a secure closure of the container.
- the at least one web can be used when embossing the sealing insert form the at least one groove.
- An embodiment of the device is preferred, which is characterized in that the stamp is provided with at least one projection arises from the extreme edge of the stamp and in essentially parallel to the central axis of the stamp runs.
- the device provides that the stamp is a circumferential depression and / or a projection in the ring area of the sealing insert and additionally at least one protrusion in the extreme edge of the stamp having.
- a container closure 1 can be seen, which is made of deep-drawn material is made. It comprises a bottom 3, of the mouth opening of one to be closed Covers the container. A circumferential one goes from the floor Side wall 5, so that quasi a cup-shaped Container closure is formed.
- a revolving Ring area 11 includes on the inner surface 7 of the bottom 5, that of the mouth opening facing is an embossed sealing insert 9 provided a revolving Ring area 11 includes.
- the ring area lies on the edge of the container surrounding the mouth opening on, which is not shown in Figure 1.
- a compression zone 13 provided by at least one, here three wells is formed, which are designed as ring grooves 15.
- the ring region 11 can be at an angle to the floor 3 or to its inner surface 7 extending edge 17 to be surrounded on the is discussed in more detail below.
- Sealing insert 9 is within the ring area 11 a thin-walled central region 19 is provided, which is thinner to save material than the ring area 11.
- FIG. 2 shows a modified embodiment a sealing insert 9 '. Same parts are with provided with the same reference numerals so that reference is made to the description of FIG. 1.
- the Sealing insert 9 ' is characterized in that the compression zone 13 is formed in that here a ring bead starting from the ring area 11 21 is provided, which from the bottom 3 or the inner surface 7 of the container closure 1 in the one enclosed by the container closure 1 Interior 23 ( Figure 1) protrudes and in the closed Condition of a container with which the Mouth opening surrounding edge of the container Intervention occurs.
- the ring bead has 21 has a trapezoidal cross section.
- FIG. 2 shows that the compression zone 13 preferably at outer edge of the ring region 11 is arranged.
- Figure 3 shows a plan view of the sealing insert 9 '', namely on the interior 23 or facing the container to be closed Inside 25.
- the scale of the representation in Figure 3 is significantly smaller than that in Figure 2.
- the central area 19 is clearly the ring region 11 and the annular bead 21 can be seen.
- the sealing insert 9 '' are the side walls 29 and 31 of the recess 27 at a distance from one another arranged and close an acute angle one that faces the outer edge of the gasket insert 9 '' opens. It is also conceivable for the side walls to be arranged parallel to each other and quasi-rectangular Provide recesses.
- the base 33 of the Recess 27 extends essentially to the Compression zone 13 or the ring bead 21 approach.
- a container closure is particularly preferred 1, in which the sealing insert 9, 9 'or 9 '' both a compression zone 13 and also at least one, preferably three in the circumferential direction arranged at the same distance from each other Recesses 27 includes.
- the compression zone 13 ensures that the seal of the mouth opening also after ensures the spring back of the container closure 1 is.
- the compression zone 13 is in that shown in Figure 1 Embodiment of the container closure 1 realized in that the usual Contact pressure values are practically incompressible Ring area 11 by one, here three annular Ring grooves 15 is weakened so that actually compressing the material of the Sealing insert 9 is possible.
- the spring springs back Container closure 1 finds decompression of the material of the sealing insert 9 instead, so that this still lies sealingly on the edge of the container. Accordingly, it is possible to use the ring bead 21 of the compression zone 13 in that shown in Figure 2 Press embodiment together. Since the annular bead 21 is essentially measured in the radial direction is narrower than the ring area 11 here less material is available, which corresponds to the contact pressure resist during the deep-drawing process could. The material of the annular bead 21 is therefore with the usual forces during the deep-drawing process compressed and compressed. When losing weight of the plunger, the annular bead 21 expands again and still closes the mouth opening tight.
- the advantageous sealing behavior of the container closure 1 results after all from that in the ring area 11 of the sealing insert 9, 9 ', 9 '' a certain compressibility respectively
- the sealing material is flexible. Since after the completion of the container closure 1 when removing the plunger the container closure springs back somewhat, the compression zone 13 compensate for this travel by using the sealing material expands when the closure springs back. It is provided here that the compression zone 13 through depressions or ring grooves 15 in the ring area 11 or by a ring bead 21 is formed. In both cases it is guaranteed that that under normal pressure forces practically non-compliant material of the sealing insert can be squeezed and then springs back to initial sealing of the container during which Content is still hot. Through this initial conclusion of the container it is possible that suction of air as the contents of the container cool is avoided and a tight seal results.
- the compression zone 13 is easy to manufacture. In particular, can on additional sealing lips that essentially should seal due to their bending effect become. It has been shown that bent sealing lips, on the one hand, costly to produce are, on the other hand, the material requirements for Increase the production of the sealing insert. Moreover it is practically impossible to get the spring back properties such a sealing insert on the Movement of the lock when the plunger is lifted off optimally set.
- the compression zone 13 described here draws is characterized by a compliance, the Spring back travel perpendicular to the surface of the ring area 11 or to the inner surface 7 of the bottom 3 of the container closure 1 runs.
- the Spring back of the material in the compression zone 13 so no bending forces are required, so that also a very safe function regarding the first sealing behavior is given.
- the container closure 1 with at least one Recess 27 can be in a lateral Butt on the container closure 1 the sealing insert 9, 9 ', 9' 'so that the Sealing effect is canceled and the container air draws. Such a shift is at least possible if the sealing insert is not sufficient Has found a stop on the container.
- the sealing insert 9, 9 ', 9 '' securely fixed on the container so that the Ring area 11 and, if provided, its compression zone 13 stay aligned so that too in the event of a side impact, the sealing insert cannot be moved so that with a negative pressure air is drawn into the container.
- the container closure described here is after all particularly suitable for a so-called top-side closure, for a container closure, which is a seal of a container exclusively thereby causing the sealing of the container intended area of the sealing insert rests on the edge area of the container that the Mouth opening surrounds, so not on the side wall of the container, which is the mouth opening encloses.
- Figure 4 shows part of a device for manufacturing a container closure 1, as it is based on of Figures 1 to 3 has been described.
- a container closure 1 with a sealing insert 9, 9 ', 9' ' is placed in a container a predetermined amount of a sealing material applied to the inner surface 7 of the bottom 3. Then the device for manufacturing of the closure, which is a stamp and a Stamp surrounding sleeve has in the interior of the container lowered.
- the sleeve surrounding the stamp becomes complete lowered to the inner surface 7 of the bottom 3, while the stamp is at a distance above the inner surface 7 stops.
- the sealing compound applied to the inner surface 7 embossed and deformed so that it space between the sleeve facing the bottom 3 End face of the stamp and the inner surface 7 of the Bottom 3 completely filled.
- the stamp can first be removed from the container closure 1 pulled out and finally the Sleeve are removed.
- FIG. 4 therefore shows part of a device 35 for the production of a container closure 1, namely the stamp 37.
- the perspective view is that of the inner surface 7 of the bottom 3 one Container closure 1 facing end face 39 of the stamp can be seen clearly.
- the highest area 41 forms during the embossing process the manufacture of the sealing insert 9 whose thin-walled Middle area 19.
- This area 41 is surrounded by an annular groove 43 which defines the ring area 11 shapes.
- a circumferential recess 45 which during an embossing process the annular bead 21 arise leaves.
- this recess 45 can also at least one, preferably three annular projections be provided, the annular grooves 15 of the Allow gasket insert 9 ( Figure 1).
- the recess 45 can at least one projection 47 is provided, the arranged in the outer edge region of the stamp 47 is and essentially parallel to an imaginary one Surface normal that is perpendicular to the Surface area 41 or the front side 39 stands.
- the thickness of the measured in the radial direction Projection 47 is chosen so that its inside approximately coincides with the outer diameter of the recess 45.
- the stamp 37 with at least one projection 47 formed so is the stamp during manufacture a container closure 1 so far in lowered the inside of a container closure, until the end face 49 of the stamp on the inner surface 7 of the bottom 3 of the container closure 1 rests.
- This is not only the recess 27 manufactured but also a defined thickness of Sealing insert set in a simple way.
- the projections 47 can be molded onto the stamp 37 his. It is also possible to use the protrusions to form separate parts on the stamp 37 in a suitable manner, for example by gluing, Soldering or welding are attached. It is too conceivable in the peripheral surface 51 of the punch 37 Introduce wells in which the as separate Parts trained projections 47 used and in the manner mentioned, for example with the help be fastened by at least one screw. On this way it is possible in case of damage too exchange individual projections 47.
- the outer shape of the protrusions 47 is determined so that recesses 27 of the desired expression arise: the side walls 53 and 55 of one Projection 47 can be parallel to each other or in at an acute angle to each other the essentially trapezoidal shape of the recess 27, as shown in Figure 3 has been.
- FIG. 5 shows an enlarged detail from FIG. 4, namely the edge region of the stamp 37 in a side view. It is clearly recognizable that the end face 39 of the stamp has a surface area 41, which is surrounded by the annular groove 43. This goes over one running at an angle of approx. 45 ° Level 57 in the area 41 over.
- FIG. 5 A partial section in FIG. 5 clearly shows that in the bottom of the annular groove 43 a recess 45th is brought in by two under one pointed Flanks 59 and 61 running at an angle to one another is limited.
- This recess 45 is essentially Trapezoidal and used for manufacturing of the trapezoidal ring bead 21 and thus the realization of the compression zone 13.
- FIG 6 shows a further embodiment in plan view a sealing insert 9 '' '.
- This Sealing insert 9 '' ' corresponds essentially according to the embodiment of the sealing insert 9 ' Figure 2, wherein also the recesses 27 of the Sealing insert 9 '' of Figure 3 are provided. In this respect, the description of the sealing inserts 9 'and 9' '.
- the sealing insert 9 '' ' at least a groove N made in the ring area 11, here three, in the preferred embodiment lie opposite the recesses 27.
- the grooves N offset, so to speak twisted, to the recesses 27 are arranged.
- Each groove N extends in the Ring area 11 from the edge area of the central area 19 to compression zone 13, if this as Ring bead 21 is formed, up to this Ring bead 21.
- the depth of each groove N is preferred dimensioned so that their groove bottom with the plane the inside 25 coincides.
- the distance between the two side walls of a groove N is preferred less than the opening width of the recess 27.
- the side walls B it is also possible to have the side walls B to be arranged at an angle to each other, that is a substantially V-shaped in cross section To provide groove N.
- the grooves N are more preferred Embodiment each in the circumferential direction seen - at an equal distance from each other attached in area 11 'and have in particular when the container is closed again by a Consumers the task of pressure in the container do not rise above the burst limit of the container to let, for example, about 4 bar can.
- the sealing insert 9 'at Containers used with a fermentable medium, especially fruit juice or the like are.
- the grooves N thus ensure that as a result of a fermentation process in the container Liquid the pressure inside the container cannot rise above the burst limit. This leads to great security for the consumer, which is therefore safe from bursting containers is protected.
- the grooves N thus establish a connection between the inside of the container and the annular bead 21, so that the pressure in the container is also on the ring bead 21 or at the compression zone 13 is applied.
- the pressure exceeds a predeterminable Limit
- the annular bead 21 or the Compression zone 13 are deformed so that a blow off the pressure to the outside is made possible. This can still be facilitated if the recesses 27 are provided.
- the Ring bead 21 or the compression zone 13 serves as a valve body, which in a predeterminable Pressure is deformed so that a flow path is formed from the inside of the container to the outside.
- the grooves described in connection with Figure 6 N can also be used in the sealing insert 9 according to FIG 1 use.
- the grooves N with a sealing insert 9 'or 9' 'to be provided. So it's possible those in connection with FIGS. 1 to 3 and 6 described embodiments of the sealing inserts to combine with each other.
- the recesses 27 can for example provided in the sealing insert 9 according to FIG. 1 his; the recesses 27 can of course also of the sealing insert 9 'according to FIG. 2 his; of course it is also possible to get one Ring groove 15 according to FIG. 1 and at least one groove N. to be provided on a sealing insert according to FIG. 4, So it can be the essential features of the sealing inserts 9, 9 ', 9' 'and 9' '' with each other be combined.
- Figure 7 shows a stamp 37 'which is like the stamp 37 is formed according to Figure 4. additionally has the stamp 37 'webs S, which as a survey are trained and when embossing the sealing insert 9 '' 'form the grooves N according to FIG.
- the Ridges S are at the desired cross section of the groove adaptable and can for example in the ring groove 43 glued or soldered on. Of course it is also possible to face 39 of the To form stamp 37 'with the webs S in one piece.
- the container closure described here consists of deep-drawn material to help shape the edge area to be able to carry out the embossing process which is required when closing a container is.
- Container closures are particularly preferred made of aluminum, at least if these as bottle caps are provided.
