In dem gezeigten Beispiel ist weiter ein Wetterschutz 9 vorgesehen, welcher sich nach oben vor die Scheibe 5 erstreckt und eine weitere umlaufende Dichtung 19 aufweist. Dieser Wetterschutz kann aus diversen Materialien, wie z.B. Holz-, Aluminium, Chromstahl, Messing oder Kompositwerkstoffen ausgebildet sein. Flügelinnenseitig ist eine Wärmespeicher-Dichtung 21 vorgesehen, welche ebenfalls an dem Träger 10 angeordnet ist.
