Die beiden Schotterlagen 18 sind derart voneinander distanziert, daß die beiden nachfolgenden Raupenfahrwerke 8 zur Gänze auf den Schotterlagen 18 aufliegen und damit diese gleichzeitig auch verdichten. Auf diese Weise ist sichergestellt, daß durch die beiden Raupenfahrwerke 8 die Oberfläche des bevorzugt durch planierten Kiessand gebildeten Planums 16 nicht verletzt wird. Die beiden durch die Raupenfahrwerke 8 verdichteten Schotterlagen 18 dienen schließlich zur Auflage der durch die Schwellenablageeinrichtung 37 abgelegten Schwellen 2. Auf diese werden in bekannter Weise (s.
