Der Schotterspeicher 13 ist durch Querführungen 19 und Verschiebeantriebe 20 relativ zum Maschinenrahmen 5 querverschiebbar. Durch Beaufschlagung der Antriebe 26 erfolgt ein Hochkippen des Kippförderbandes 25 mitsamt dem Container 24. Der im Container 24 befindliche Schotter 15 gelangt über eine geöffnete Klappe 39 in den darunter befindlichen Schotterspeicher 13. Danach erfolgt wiederum ein Rücktransport des leeren Containers 24 zum Ablageförderband 33, um in weiterer Folge vom Portalkran 34 wiederum zur Befüllung unter die Schotterbefüllstation 22 transportiert zu werden.During this filling process, the
Der im Schotterspeicher 13 befindliche Schotter 15 wird in Form von zwei bezüglich der Maschinenquerrichtung voneinander distanzierten Schotterlagen 18 (Fig. 3) auf das Planum 16 aufgetragen. Dabei wird automatisch durch entsprechende Distanzierung der Planierkanten 17 der Auslaßschurren 14 vom Planum 16 eine konstante Höhe und Planierung der beiden Schotterlagen 18 erzielt. Die beiden Schotterlagen 18 sind derart voneinander distanziert, daß die beiden nachfolgenden Raupenfahrwerke 8 zur Gänze auf den Schotterlagen 18 aufliegen und damit diese gleichzeitig auch verdichten. Auf diese Weise ist sichergestellt, daß durch die beiden Raupenfahrwerke 8 die Oberfläche des bevorzugt durch planierten Kiessand gebildeten Planums 16 nicht verletzt wird. Die beiden durch die Raupenfahrwerke 8 verdichteten Schotterlagen 18 dienen schließlich zur Auflage der durch die Schwellenablageeinrichtung 37 abgelegten Schwellen 2. Auf diese werden in bekannter Weise (s. EP 0 811 721) die beidseits am Maschinenrahmen 5 in Transportrichtung 9 transportierten Schienen 3 zur Bildung des Gleises 4 abgelegt.The

- A machine for laying a track (4), formed of sleepers (2) and rails (3), upon a formation (16), including devices for transporting the sleepers (2) and rails (3) in a transporting direction (9) corresponding to the working direction of the machine (1), a crawler track (8) being provided at a front machine end (7) of a machine frame (5), characterized in that a ballast hopper (13), having discharge chutes (14), for storing ballast (15) and discharging the same upon the formation (16) is provided in front of the crawler track (8), with respect to the transporting direction (9).
- A machine according to claim 1, characterized in that the two discharge chutes (14) comprise at their lower ends a grading edge (17) for delimiting vertically and grading a respective ballast layer (18).
- A machine according to claim 1 or 2, characterized in that a tilting unit (40) for tilting and emptying a container (24) designed to be filled with ballast (15) is associated with the ballast hopper (13).
- A machine according to claim 1, 2 or 3, characterized in that the tilting unit (40) is formed by a tilting conveyor belt (25) extending in the transporting direction (9) and provided for receiving a container (24), the tilting conveyor belt (25) being mounted on the machine frame (5) for pivoting by means of drives (26) about a pivot axis (27) extending horizontally and perpendicularly to the transporting direction.
- A machine according to one of claims 1 to 4, characterized in that a transporting arrangement (23), formed by a number of conveyor belts, for transporting the containers (24) is provided between the ballast hopper (13) and a ballast filling station (22) situated on the machine frame (5).
- A machine according to claim 5, characterized in that the ballast filling station (22) is formed by a vibrating chute (28), arranged inclined at an angle to the horizontal and including a vibration drive (41), which is positioned above a conveyor belt (32) of the transporting arrangement (23).
- A machine according to one of claims 1 to 6, characterized in that rails (36), extending in the transporting direction and connected to the machine frame (5), for mobility of a gantry crane (34) are provided at both sides of the transporting arrangement (23) - with regard to the transverse direction of transport.
