Definitions
- the invention relates to a valve with a valve according to the features specified in the preamble of claim 1.
- Such a fitting is known from the European patent EP 0 572817 B1 or the German patent application DE 195 31 913 A1, which is designed as a tapping fitting with an integrated valve.
- the fitting contains a saddle piece designed as a half-shell, which is attached to the outside surface of a pipe after cleaning and removing an oxide skin.
- the saddle piece is fixed during assembly by means of a pipe clamp, a tensioning and tapping device or the like on the outer surface of the pipe, and subsequently the fitting or the saddle piece, in the inner surface of which an electrical heating winding is provided, is electrowelded with the outer surface of the pipe tightly and permanently connected.
- the fitting also contains an outlet in the form of a socket, in which a drill is provided for drilling through the pipe in order to be able to produce a passage from the inside of the pipe to a branch pipe and a branch line connected to it.
- the heating coil is arranged essentially coaxially to the axis of the nozzle and surrounds the passage area or the opening in the saddle piece in a ring in the area of the mentioned outlet or nozzle.
- the valve contains a valve to connect the connection if necessary to release or shut off the inside of the pipe and the branch pipe. Fastening such a valve tapping fitting to the outer surface of a pipeline requires a not inconsiderable amount of production and assembly work.
- connection of the valve to the pipeline, through which the medium, which is under pressure in particular, flows, which is to be established regularly after a pipeline has been laid, requires careful handling, especially with regard to cleaning and removal of the oxide skin, in particular the electrical welding connection between the saddle piece and the pipe outer surface meets high safety requirements.
- a welding sleeve for connecting plastic pipe parts is known from German patent application DE 44 37 407 A1.
- annular heating elements are provided for welding the pipe parts to the inner surface of the sleeve.
- Tubular lugs with axial slots are arranged on the sleeve ends, and the lugs and thus the sleeve can be fixed and braced with respect to the pipe parts by means of clamping rings. If an outlet is to be created on the pipe parts connected in this way to form a pipeline, a fitting of the type of the European patent mentioned at the outset is additionally required. The material and assembly effort is not insignificant.
- the object of the invention is to design the valve of the type mentioned in such a way that the difficulties outlined are avoided and a branch of a pipeline can be produced with little production and material expenditure.
- the valve should be easy to handle and have a compact design.
- the proposed fitting is characterized by a simple and nevertheless functionally reliable construction and contains a plastic electrofusion socket with an outlet, which in particular contains a socket.
- the fitting which is preferably designed as a T-piece, the ends of two plastic pipes can be connected to one another by electric welding, the welding being carried out in the area of the two heating windings over the entire pipe circumference.
- the electric welding sleeve hereinafter also referred to as a sleeve for the sake of simplicity, can also be designed as a sliding sleeve, which can be positioned at any position of a pipe.
- the sleeve contains a central or central area assigned to the outlet, which is arranged axially between the two helical heating coils or winding areas.
- the central area assigned to the outlet is ring-shaped and free of a heating coil, with only one connecting line possibly being provided between the two axially spaced heating coils or heating coil areas.
- the sleeve can be firmly and tightly connected by means of the two heating windings or heating winding areas over the entire circumference to the outer surface of the pipe or in both pipe ends by means of electric welding.
- the outlet can be designed as a connection piece connected to the sleeve with an opening which already penetrates the sleeve, through which the medium flowing through the said pipes can flow into the branch line connected to a branch connector. Furthermore, the opening can only be introduced into the sleeve at a later time.
- the valve according to the invention has a double function such that two pipes can be connected to one another and a branch can be created.
- a double function such that two pipes can be connected to one another and a branch can be created.
- according to the invention only a single fitting is required, in which the functions of the known fitting and the known welding socket are combined. This significantly reduces the manufacturing and assembly costs.
- the valve enables a new use in combination with the electric welding socket in such a way that it is integrated into the pipeline when it is laid and, if necessary, the connection of a branch line to the valve already connected to the pipeline is made possible at a later point in time.
- the connecting piece preferably contains a valve in order to open or shut off the flow path of the medium, if necessary.
- the sleeve can initially also be completely closed, the opening of the sleeve being made in the tapping area of the pipe at a given time, preferably by drilling the same.
- the fitting according to the invention is arranged in the position at which a branch to a building which is still to be built is made later, possibly also after years. Only then is the drilling started for the finish. It is no longer necessary to weld the valve with the electric welding socket at this later point in time and the work involved is no longer necessary.
- the outer surface of the pipe which may have been in the ground for years, no longer needs to be cleaned and prepared for welding.
- the valve was connected "precautionarily" to the pipeline when the pipeline was laid, and at the appropriate time all that is left to do is open the valve or drill the hole.
- the tapping area and / or the outlet are expediently located in the middle area of the sleeve. If the fitting is provided for the connection of pipes, it can be ensured by means of axial stops that the insertion depth of the pipes is limited before the electrical welding connection is made and the middle area remains free.
- the nozzle with a valve is either arranged in the free area between two pipe ends or via an opening previously made in the pipe. After the valve is welded in place using the electrofusion socket, a reliable seal is guaranteed. In due course, the flow path will be released after connecting the branch line to the outlet. Furthermore, the valve can be hidden as a combined valve-tapping valve,
- the flow path to the branch connection or to the branch line connected to it is released or blocked by means of the valve.
- the sleeve expediently contains the helical heating coil for producing the electrical welded connection with the inserted pipe ends or the pipe.
- the mentioned connection piece with the valve has a comparatively low overall height, and overall the fitting according to the invention has a compact construction. Only the pipe ends are to be connected to one another by means of the electric welding sleeve, keeping the area with the nozzle and the valve clear, and an additional weld connection, as is usually required for tapping fittings with a welding saddle, is omitted. If the branch line is connected to the branch pipe, all that needs to be done is to open the valve, which was initially closed, to open the flow path without additional measures having to be taken. Particular refinements and developments of the invention are specified in the subclaims and in the further description.
- FIG. 2 shows a side view of the fitting in viewing direction II according to FIG. 1.
- Fig. 1 shows in a radial section the valve with a sleeve 2, an outlet 4 in the form of a radially protruding nozzle with a nozzle axis 5 and a branch connector 6 for connecting a branch line.
- the sleeve 2 contains in its inner surface 7 a helical heating or welding winding 8, indicated here with a dashed line, by means of which the ends of two tubes (not shown here) can be connected to the sleeve 2 or to one another.
- one heating winding 8 is not arranged in the area of the nozzle 4 and approximately coaxially to the nozzle axis 5, but behind the plane of the drawing, namely coaxially to the longitudinal axis 10.
- the pipes mentioned like the longitudinal axis 10 of the sleeve 2, are orthogonal to the plane of the drawing.
- the sleeve 2 contains an opening 12 which opens into the interior of the nozzle 4.
- the heating windings mentioned are arranged axially spaced from the connecting piece 4 with respect to the longitudinal axis 10, which defines the outlet for direct or indirect connection via the branch connecting piece of a branch line.
- a valve with a valve body 18 is provided to shut off the flow path from the interior 14 of the sleeve 2 through the interior of the connector 4 into the inner cavity 16 of the branch connector 6.
- the valve also contains a valve seat 20 corresponding to the valve body 18. In the position of the valve body 18 shown, the valve is closed and the flow path from the interior 14 to the cavity 16 of the branch connector 6 is blocked.
- a valve spindle 21 is provided for actuating the valve body 18.
- an outwardly directed shaft 22 which, for example, a square 24 for a has tool, the valve body 18 can be moved in the direction of arrow 26 as shown in the drawing, so as to open the opening 12 or the flow path.
- the outlet According to the invention assigned to the central annular region 29 of the inner surface 7 of the sleeve 2.
- the annular central region 29 is free of a heating winding. Rather, in the direction of the longitudinal axis 10, in addition to this free region 29, the two spaced-apart, in particular helical, heating windings are provided, with the heating winding 8 lying behind the plane of the drawing being indicated with a broken line.
- the two ring-shaped heating coils which are designed to be closed over the circumference, with respect to the longitudinal axis 10, are arranged essentially coaxially with the longitudinal axis 10, a connecting line possibly being present in the central region 29, which is preferably made in one piece from the same wire as the two heating coils consist.
- the connecting line or the part of the heating wire is arranged in such a way that only a minimal heat is developed in the central region 29, which does not allow a welded connection to be made with the pipe or pipes.
- the sleeve 2, the connector 4 and the branch connector 6 are preferably made of plastic and are made in one piece.
- the valve seat 20 is expediently at least partially part of a sleeve 28 arranged in the socket 4, which preferably consists of metal.
- the valve seat 20 is also at least partially formed by a plastic ring 30 of the fitting or the sleeve 2.
- a sealing ring 32 can be provided for the valve seat.
- the sleeve 28, which is made of metal in particular, contains an opening 34 corresponding to the cavity 16 of the branch connector 6, through which the medium can flow into the branch connector 6 when the valve body is open.
- the sleeve 28 serves both to guide the valve body 18 and to receive and seal the valve spindle 21 and / or the stem 22.
- the sleeve 28 is embedded in the plastic of the fitting and in particular when the plastic is injected the fitting is injected.
- the sleeve 28 extends essentially over the entire height of the nozzle 4 and by means of at least one sealing ring 36, 37 there is a sealing of the valve spindle 21 or the shaft 22.
- the shaft 22 penetrates a cap 38 which is connected to the upper part of the nozzle 4 , especially by electric welding, is tightly and permanently connected.
- a sealing disk 40 is expediently provided between the bottom of the cap 38 and the upper end faces of the connector 4 and / or the sleeve 28, which further ensures a seal with respect to the shaft 22.
- the valve body 18 can also be arranged in an axially movable manner in the connecting piece 4 in another way.
- the sleeve can be omitted and direct guidance of the valve body in the socket or the fitting with an integrated valve seat can be provided.
- the fitting has the integrated sleeve 2 with a heating winding 8 in its inner surface and also contains the opening 12 which opens into a free area between the pipe ends connected by means of the electrofusion sleeve, so that a Drilling the pipeline is not necessary.
- Fig. 2 shows a side view of the fitting, containing the sleeve 2 and the socket 4.
- the two heating coils 8, 9 arranged in the inner surface 7 of the sleeve body 2 can be clearly seen here.
- the heating coils 8, 9 are arranged helically in the inner surface 7, i.e. they extend as closed rings coaxial to the longitudinal axis 10 and ensure a sealed, in particular pressure-tight connection over the inner circumference of the sleeve 2 after the electrical welding with the ends of the inserted tubes 42, 44
- the free central area 29, in which the opening 12 of the outlet or connection piece 4 opens is free of a winding or winding parts over the entire circumference of the inner surface.
- the ends of the tubes 42, 44 which are only partially shown, are inserted into the sleeve 2 and can be connected to it by means of electric welding.
- the pipe ends are inserted into the sleeve 2 in such a way that they end in front of the central region 29, which is provided in particular in the middle of the longitudinal extension of the sleeve 2.
- this free area 29 opens the opening 12, through which the medium flowing in the pipeline when open Valve can flow in the branch connector and the branch line connected to it.
- stops 48, 50 are provided in the interior of the sleeve, which limit the insertion depth of the pipe ends or the free, in particular central area 29 of the sleeve 2.
- stops 48, 50 are designed in particular as radial projections which are directed radially inward from the inner surface 7 of the tube to the longitudinal axis 10.
- the free area 29 and / or the axial distance between the tube ends has an axial length 52 which is preferably at least the same size as the diameter 54 of the opening 12.
- the sleeve is designed as a sliding sleeve, which can be arranged at any position on a pipe or in the connection area of two pipes.
- the sleeve contains two axially spaced windings or winding areas in the form of heating coils, by means of which a tight all-round welding with the inserted pipe or the inserted pipe ends can be produced.
- the outgoing area according to the invention is present between the two windings, which either lies between the two pipe ends or to which a pipe opening is assigned. It is also essential here that the electrical welding connections are expediently carried out when the pipeline is laid, while the connection to the branch line and the release of the valve can be carried out at any later point in time.
