Claims (11)

  1. A drive rod fitting having a corner deflection element for drive rods guided in a fitting receiving groove extending around the leaf frame, said drive rods being coupled together at the leaf corner by a deflection member, which is guided in an angular guide channel disposed in in the fitting receiving groove, at least one outer cover element which covers the fitting receiving groove being connectable to the leaf frame profile via fixing elements, the corner deflection element being fixable by positive and/or frictional engagement to the groove side walls of the fitting receiving groove via a retaining element mounted on the corner deflection element, characterised in that the retaining element consists of an angular U-shaped cross-section clamp (11) which extends by its limbs (15) through lateral edge recesses (16) in the cover element (2) or the cover rail, the lateral edge recesses (16) being disposed in the corner zone of the cover element (2) on both limbs (17, 18) of the cover element (2),
    in that the web (19) abuts the cover element (2) or cover rail,
    the U-limbs (15) co-operating with the side walls of the groove
    and the limbs (15) at least partially engaging behind the edge recesses (16).
  2. A drive rod fitting according to claim 1, characterised in that the limbs (15) of the clamp (11) extend along the angle bisector (21).
  3. A drive rod fitting according to claim 1 or 2, characterised in that the limbs (15) have projections (20, 25) pointing inwardly and outwardly, the inwardly pointing projections (20) co-operating with the cover element (2) and the outwardly pointing projections (25) extending as far as the side walls of the groove.
  4. A drive rod fitting according to any one of claims 1 to 3, characterised in that the clamp (11) covers the edge recesses (16).
  5. A drive rod fitting according to any one of claims 1 to 4, characterised in that the clamp (11) is constructed symmetrically in relation to the angle bisector (21).
  6. A drive rod fitting according to any one of claims 1 to 5, characterised in that the clamp (11) and the cover element (2) have a substantially equal width (26), the web (19) laterally overlapping the limbs (15) with a thickness (28) corresponding to the thickness (27) of the cover element (2).
  7. A drive rod fitting according to any one of claims 1 to 6, characterised in that the clamp (11) co-operates with a ramp or chock adjacent the frame during the closing of the leaf.
  8. A drive rod fitting according to any one of claims 1 to 7, characterised in that the clamp (11) can be used as an advertising or information support on the outside.
  9. A drive rod fitting according to any one of claims 1 to 8, characterised in that the clamp (11) is a plastic moulding.
  10. A drive rod fitting according to any one of claims 1 to 9, characterised in that the cover element (2) in the corner zone extends perpendicularly, at least in portions, to the angle bisector (21).
