Description

The invention relates to a method for the successive emptying of containers containing containers (full containers), which are transferred to a loading station in a frame, then moved with the frame to a discharge station and emptied there, after which they are moved back with the frame to the loading station.
The invention also relates to a device for the successive emptying of containers containing containers (full containers), with a Überführvor direction for transferring a full container zugeförderten at a loading station in a frame, a conveyor for moving frame and full container to a discharge station and a conveyor for moving back the Frame with the empty container to the loading station.

In the production of articles, for example of rod-shaped articles of the tobacco processing industry such as cigarettes or filter rods, these are often filled into containers and promoted in these for storage and / or further processing, in particular for packaging. In the automatic supply of cigarettes filled in containers to the magazines of packaging machines or intermediate magazines, from which the cigarettes are conveyed on conveyor belts to the actual packaging machines in the so-called mass flow, the containers must be emptied. The containers for cigarettes are generally so-called Schragen, which consist mostly of a cigarettes in the form of stacks receiving bottom surface, two parallel to the cigarette axes extending side walls and a perpendicular to the cigarette axes rear wall; Upwards and downwards, the casings are usually open, but walls can also be provided there, which can be removed for filling and emptying.

To empty the items in the magazines or intermediate magazines, the containers are rotated or pivoted so that the items can fall out. Corresponding devices are known. US Pat. Nos. 3,655,080, 4,403,908, 3,527,369, 3,777,911 and German Patent Specification 19 39 395 describe rotary and pivoting arrangements with receptacles or frames for containers / cassettes filled with cigarettes. The full container must first be transferred to the frame (recordings), whereupon they are pivoted or rotated for emptying. After swinging back or turning back the empty containers are removed from the frame and fed full containers. For this purpose, special funds are required. In addition, emptying requires time, which is scarce with the enormous production capacities of modern cigarette machines.

The problem underlying the invention is to facilitate the loading and unloading of the images with full or empty containers and thus to accelerate.
According to the invention, this object is achieved in that another full container when transferred to the frame located therein empty container (empty container) directly or indirectly removed from the frame.
In an advantageous embodiment of the invention, the supply of a full container to the frame by means of at least one preferably horizontal conveyor belt carried on which a plurality of full containers can be stored. The conveyor belt or better two conveyor belts then transfers the full container into the frame, at the same time removing an empty container in the frame from the frame in a direction that represents the continuation of the feed direction, ie the new full container is replaced by the free front surface of the frame fed while the empty container is removed from the frame through the back. In this case, a full container an empty container directly, ie by mechanical contact, push out of the frame.

But it is also possible to have an empty container indirectly, for example, by means of a full container to the incoming and transferring recording to remove from the frame.
Transportable containers for cigarettes, also called Schragen, are generally cuboid shaped and generally consist of a bottom on which the cigarettes are transverse to the bottom extension, of two perpendicularly arranged vertical side walls and a rear wall adjacent to the side walls and the bottom , The back wall is the largest surface and is usually rectangular in shape. The front wall of a Schragen is missing, usually the ceiling wall. A framework with which the invention is to be realized, may have side walls, clamps for the tray / container and a removable ceiling wall, so a lid. The clamping device is used for secure support of the tray during a frame movement. A front wall and a rear wall are missing from the frame, so that a full container fed by the empty front surface can remove an empty container in the frame through the empty rear surface. The frame is advantageously moved with the full container, possibly after a lifting movement, by means of a pivoting movement to the emptying station.
According to another important embodiment of the invention, the independent inventive rank plays, the frame is placed with the full container on the upper ends of movable walls of a magazine for the article. Then the walls with the frame and the full container are moved downwards until the underside of the frame at least approximately reaches the surface of the articles located between the upwardly and downwardly movable walls. Thereafter, a lid of the frame is removed, so that the articles sink down to the surface; then the walls with the frame and the full container are moved upwards. After reaching an upper position and emptying of the container frame with the now empty container by means of a reversed pivoting movement moved back to the loading station. After swinging back of the frame, the articles sink between the walls in their upper position until after re-feeding the frame with a new full container a sensor associated with the walls upon reaching the article surface by the downwardly guided upper ends of the lowered walls a signal for removing the lid from the frame. By means of this advantageous development of the invention, the time taken by placing a frame on the upper end of the walls until a return pivoting operation is triggered can be improved, which increases the efficiency of the emptying method and the emptying device. In addition, the drop height of the falling down from the full container items is low, so that even at higher heights increased risk of failure due to querlegender article is low.
According to a further embodiment of the invention, after returning to the feeding station in the frame an empty container can be released by releasing the clamping and removed from a following full container onto a delivery surface, from which it is lowered to preferably at least approximately horizontal delivery belts.
The empty container can be removed in the simplest form by direct contact with a full container, which is conveyed for example by about horizontal conveyor belts, from the frame. To increase the Zufördergeschwindigkeit and thus the performance of the emptying process and the device can in a further advantageous embodiment of the invention, the independent inventive rank plays a solid container from a drive, preferably from a linear drive, promoted in a recording to the Aufzufestation and transferred into the frame be removed, wherein the receptacle located in the frame Leerschragen. A very fast zufördernde a full container recording can then also remove the empty container (indirectly) from the frame.

The method according to the invention is particularly suitable for the emptying of containers, so-called Schragen, which are filled with cigarettes produced on cigarette production machines with and without filters, and which are for further processing, for example on packaging machines promoted. On the way to a packaging machine, the cigarettes are emptied directly into a magazine of the packing machine or they are transferred to an intermediate container, from which the cigarettes are conveyed in a so-called mass flow for further processing, in particular for packaging. The invention is also suitable for emptying with other rod-shaped articles of the tobacco processing industry, for example, filled with filter rods or cigar / cigarillos containers.

The above-mentioned device according to the invention consists in that a full container again conveyed to the frame directly or indirectly represents the means for removing the empty container from the frame.
Further developments and further embodiments of the device according to the invention can be found in the subordinate device claims.

The invention has the advantage that the replacement of empty containers by full containers in a frame can be effected in a particularly short time, whereby the efficiency of discharge devices increases considerably. This is also the special way of delivering articles in containers with movable up and down walls that nachfahren the article level between them after placing a cream and release the article from the full container by removing a frame cover after reaching the article surface.
The Zuförder- and transfer speed is also increased by the particular embodiment of the invention with an additional drive for the full trays, preferably a linear drive.

The invention will be explained in more detail with reference to exemplary embodiments.

Figure 1 shows the side view of an emptying device 1 for filled with filter cigarettes 2 container / tray 3, which, as Figure 2 reveals, a horizontal bottom 4, two vertical side walls 6 and a vertical rear wall 7 has. The front surface 8 and the ceiling surface 9 are free. The cigarettes 2 are adjacent and one above the other in the container 3, with their longitudinal axes parallel to the planes of the side walls. The filling of the container 3 with cigarettes 2 is usually carried out following cigarette production on cigarette production machines by special machines, so-called Schragenfüllmaschinen. The filled with cigarettes container (hereinafter referred to as "full container") - possibly after a shorter or longer storage - a full rack station 11 of the emptying device supplied, wherein they on parallel Zuförderbändem 12 in the direction of arrow 13 a frame (cassette) 14 a pivoting device sixteenth be conveyed and transferred in a feeding station 17 in the frame. The pivoting device 16 pivots the frame 14 with a full container 3 according to the arrow 18 to a discharge station 19 on a container in the form of a magazine 21 an otherwise not shown packing machine for the cigarettes 2, which are emptied into the magazine, after which the pivoting device 16 the frame 14 with the now empty container 22 (hereinafter referred to as "empty container") moved back according to the arrow 23 to the loading station 17. An empty container 22 is removed from the frame 14 and initially lowered by a lowering device 24, whereupon it is then conveyed away on parallel delivery belts 26 to an empty container station 28 in accordance with arrow 27.

After the description of the main components of the emptying device 1 will be discussed in detail below.
The feed belts 12 are guided over rollers 31, 32, 33 and 34, of which roller 34 via a toothed belt 36 of a controllable electric motor 37 and a Gear 38 is driven. The over rollers 39, 41, 42 and 43 guided Abförderbänder 26 are driven by the electric motor 37 and its transmission 38. At the feed station 17 is the frame 14, which, in particular Figure 2 shows, side walls 47, 48 and a lid 51 has. The lid 51 is removable from a particular drive and traceable back to its illustrated position. The formation of such a lid and its drive can be found in the aforementioned US patents, so that a special representation is unnecessary. A front wall and a rear wall are missing from the frame 14, so that a full container 3 can be transferred through the front surface 52 into the frame 14 and an empty container 22 can be removed from it by the rear surface 53. The frame 14 is guided by guides 44 on pivot arms 45 and movable by a drive, not shown, in the direction of the double arrow 46 back and forth. On the frame 14 are clamping devices 54 and 56, which consist essentially of pneumatic cylinders 57 and 58, piston rods 59 and 61 and clamping plates 62 and 63, respectively. Upon actuation of the pneumatic cylinder by an electrical signal put the clamping plates 62, 63 against a full container 3 in the frame 14, lift it by a relatively small distance (arrow 68), where it passes under the frame cover 51, and clamp him fixed, so that even with a pivoting of the frame 14, the fixation of the full container (and later of the empty container) is maintained in the frame. To release a container, the pressure from the pneumatic cylinders 57 and 58 is removed, so that the clamping is released and the frame 14 drops again. Figure 2a shows the container in clamped, Figure 2b in the released state. It is within the scope of the invention, the frame 14 for receiving two or more containers 3, 22 form.
When transferring a full container 3 into the frame 14, the empty container 22 located in it is pushed out and thus removed. Figure 11 shows a half inserted full container 3 and a corresponding half pushed out empty container 22. In Figure 1, the container movements are completed. The empty container 22 is pushed onto a surface 64 of the lowering device 24, which can be lowered in response to an electrical signal from a spindle drive 65, a toothed belt or the like, until the empty container 22 is transferred to the discharge conveyor 26, from which he to the empty container station 28th is carried away. Empty container lifting and lowering devices are widely known in the industry for container filling and container emptying machines and are described, for example, in US Pat. Nos. 3,777,911, 3,655,080 and 3,527,369.

After transferring the full container 3 into the frame 14 at the feed station 17, the frame is pivoted to a control signal from a motor 66 with gear 67 of the pivoting device 16 about a pivot axis 69, wherein the one (or more) full container 3 containing frame 14 a Path according to arrow 18 executes and is thereby moved to the emptying station 19. Swivel devices of the type used (sometimes called tilting devices) are widely known, for example, by the above-mentioned prior art and partly built by emptying machines (also called magazine filler), so that they need not be described in detail in detail.
If the frame 14 has arrived at the emptying station 19 with a full container 3, it becomes known on the upper edge 71 of, for example, US Pat. No. 3,527,369 and German patent specification No. 19 39 395 and emptying machines frequently used in the cigarette industry. and movable walls 72 set, which form the upper end of the container 21. Between the walls 72, which are shown in their upper end position, and their lower ends 73 connect to the fixed upper end 74 of the magazine 21, there are articles, such as cigarettes, in the movement of the former full container 3 through the frame 14th have been supplied to the emptying station 19.

The surface of the cigarette drops because of the removal of cigarettes for packaging from the bottom of the magazine 21 for packaging. However, the supply of a new full container 3 in its frame 14 takes place before the surface of the article between the walls 72 has reached its lower position and thus the upper region 74 of the magazine 21. After a new frame 14 with therein full container 3 has been placed on the upper edge 71 of the located in its upper position up and down movable walls 72, a likewise not shown known drive is activated, the walls 72 down arrow 75, while they slide past the fixed walls of the magazine 21. For this purpose, for example, a not shown pneumatic cylinder or electric drive in a conventional manner, the frame 14 with its guides 44 along the pivot arms 45 in the direction of the arrow 75 move. When the upper edge 71 of the lowered walls 72 reaches the surface of the articles, a sensor moved with the upper edge of the walls 72, for example a light barrier 77, emits a signal which stops the lowering drive of the walls 72 and the cover 51 of the frame 14 removed in a known manner by means of a drive, not shown, from the frame. The cigarettes can now leave the full container 3 down, wherein the drop height is minimized as a result of the Nachfahr the full container 3 in the frame 14 to the article surface. After removal of the lid 51, the drive of the walls 72 move them in a known manner together with the light barrier 77, the frame 14 seated on the upper edge 71 of the walls 72 and the full container 3 as indicated by arrow 78 upwardly in the illustrated upper position of the walls 72. The supplied full container 3, which has already delivered 72 items during the upward movement of the walls, this continues according to the deduction of articles from the magazine 21 continues from until the photocell 77 an end of the article delivery from the full container, from the now Empty container 22 has been detected. The light barrier 77 is now a control signal to the rotary actuator 66, the moved back the frame 14 with the now empty container 22 in the direction of arrow 23 to the loading station 17. After reaching the clamping of the empty container 22 is released by deactivating the clamping devices 54, 56, so that the empty container 22 can sink into its release position according to arrow 68. Thereafter, a new full container 3 is conveyed by the conveyor belts 12 to the feed station 17 and transferred into the frame 14, whereby the empty container 22 from the frame 14 on the surface 64 from which the previous empty container has been temporarily removed, is pushed. This completes a draining cycle.

The difference of the variant of the invention according to Figures 13 to 16 in comparison with the embodiment according to Figures 1 to 12 is essentially that for the transfer of the full container 3 in the frame 14 of the pivoting device 16, not the feed belts 12 are used, but a special drive that can transport the full container in the final phase of the feed much faster and can transfer into the frame 14. As a result, the performance of the emptying device is significantly increased. The pivoting device 16, the magazine with the movable walls, the lowering device with the lowering surface 64 and the Abförderbändern are formed as in figures 1 to 12 and therefore need not be shown and described.

In Figure 13, the pivoting device 16 is shown, which has pivoted the frame 14 with a full container 3 in the emptying position 19. In the area of the feed belts 12 and the full rack station 11 is a receptacle 81 for a full container 3, which is attached to a drive, preferably a linear drive 82, for example in the form of a so-called rodless pneumatic cylinder 83. Such cylinders have in addition to the piston inside also an internal piston rod, with which the receptacle 81 is connected either by a sealed slot or non-contact (eg magnetic), and according to arrow 84 in the direction of the feed station 17, corresponding arrow 86 in the opposite direction is movable. At the container station 11 side facing the linear drive 82, which may also be designed as a rack or belt drive, there is a lifting element 87 in the form of a lifting cylinder 88, the piston rod 89, the linear drive 82 unilaterally lift, d. H. can pivot about a rotation axis 91. As a result, as shown in Figure 14, the receptacle 81 is also raised with the full container 3, whereby both elements tilt slightly (in Figure 14 to the right), so that the cigarettes 2 can be supported with their filter ends 2a on the rear wall 7 of their container and the risk of the cigarettes 2 falling out of the container is reduced even in the case of large linear accelerations or delays. FIG. 13 shows the receptacle 81 and the full container 3 located directly above it in the position in which the conveyor belts 12 have delivered the full container 3 to the receptacle 81; Figure 14 shows the receptacle 81 and the full container 3 in a tilted position shortly before reaching the feed station 17, in which the frame 14 is located with an empty container 22.

Figure 15 shows how the compared to the conveyor belts 12 very fast Linear drive 82 has the receptacle 81 with the full container 3 already partially pushed into the frame 14, wherein a nose 92 has the empty container 22 partially removed from the frame 14 on the lowering surface 64.

Figure 16 shows the completed transfer operation, d. H. a full container 3 has been transferred to the frame 14 and an empty container 22 has been removed from the frame and pushed onto the lowering surface 64, which then lowers it down from where it is carried away. After the transfer process and the beginning of the pivoting movement, the empty receptacle 81 is fed back according to arrow 86 from the linear drive 82, wherein the lifting element 87, the linear actuator 82 and the attached receptacle 81 drops back into the position resulting from Figure 13 position. Moreover, the device operates, as described with reference to Figures 1 to 12, in particular as regards the pivoting movement, the height movements of the magazine walls, the Abförderbewegung the empty containers and the clamping of a container in the frame.
