Definitions
- the invention relates to a hermetic dispensing device a fluid, in particular a liquid substance and / or a paste, such as eye drops or other pharmaceutical fluids or para-pharmaceutical (toothpaste, liquid soap, ...), a food fluid (milk, fruit juice, %), or even a industrial fluid (lubricant, catalyst, resin polymerizable, %)
- Fluids of the aforementioned type generally have a duration of limited conservation after opening their packaging.
- a known solution is to pack for single use as a pack "Single-dose”.
- this solution increases the price of the packaging, in relation to the volume of fluid it contains.
- preservatives Another solution is to mix substances with the fluid. chemicals called “preservatives” to protect it from various pollutants (air, light, dust, bacteria, ...), susceptible to come into contact with the fluid. However, these preservatives can be dangerous and / or frowned upon by some users and it is often desirable to have them remove.
- the present invention improves the situation.
- One of the advantages of the present invention is in that, in the equilibrium position of the membrane, a thin film of fluid remains trapped between the membrane and the aforementioned part of the fixed body. This film, in combination with the obturation by the membrane of the orifices entering and leaving the aforementioned peripheral space, then allows the communication between the outlet and the tank, relative to the air ambient likely to pollute the contents of the tank.
- the fixed body is of substantially convex shape and has a base secured to the tank and provided with at least a channel which communicates with the reservoir on the one hand, and with peripheral space on the other hand.
- the membrane envelops the outer surface of the aforementioned part of the fixed body, and comprises the orifice of exit.
- the top of the fixed body convexity can close the outlet, while the membrane, in its position of equilibrium, also envelops the base of the fixed body in closing the communication between the channel and the peripheral space America.
- the fixed body comprises, preferably, a portion of substantially convex shape full (or, alternatively, hollow but closed in its upper part), provided with at least one communicating channel on the one hand with the tank, and on the other hand with the space peripheral.
- the membrane is substantially pocket-like and contains a light compressed material, to maintain the outer surface of the membrane in surface contact with the aforementioned part of the fixed body.
- the fixed body further comprises a shell rigid suitable for covering the membrane and provided with said orifice exit.
- the membrane is preferably secured to a surface internal rigid shell and has an orifice arranged for communicate with the outlet. Peripheral space above is thus delimited by the membrane and by the part full convex fixed body.
- the aforementioned part of the fixed body is always in shape substantially convex, but hollow in this second mode of embodiment, to substantially accommodate the membrane. So the relative positions of the membrane and the fixed body are reversed compared to those they occupy in the first embodiment mentioned above.
- the membrane is in contact with an internal surface of the fixed body and the orifice outlet is arranged substantially at the top of the convexity of the fixed body. Thanks to its own elasticity and / or compressed light material that it can contain, the membrane exerts pressure on the inner wall of the fixed body, inside to outside.
- the fixed body has a full convex part and the membrane is integral with this solid part.
- Space peripheral is, in this case, delimited by the membrane and by an internal surface of the aforementioned rigid shell.
- the membrane therefore has no orifice.
- FIG. 1 On which appears a tank 1 provided with an appendage 2, integral.
- This tank 1 generally has an oblong shape, substantially cylindrical hollow. It is preferably carried out in a deformable material, for example chloride Polyvinyl. It can thus be actuated by pressure, including manual. To ease this pressure, further comprises concentric undulations appearing in Figure 1, forming a bellows.
- the tank 1 has an integral appendix 2 and a single piece in the example described.
- the appendix 2 can be made integral with the reservoir 1 by screwing, by snap-fastening or by gluing.
- Appendix 2 is substantially cylindro-ogival in shape full, in the example described. It has a base 8 per which it is integral with the reservoir 1. The base 8 is crossed by a channel 4 which communicates with the reservoir 1. This channel 4 extends, moreover, to the surface external of appendix 2.
- appendix 2 has a dome shape hollow, provided, near its base, with an opening forming the aforementioned channel 4.
- the dispensing device comprises a membrane 3 made at least in part from a material elastic. It is mounted tight against appendix 2 of so that in the rest position, this membrane 3 is in surface contact with appendix 2.
- the membrane 3 is in contact with the external surface of appendix 2. It is fixed near the base 8, substantially under the channel 4. In practical, it is fixed between appendix 2 and the tank 1. It tightly wraps Appendix 2 while remaining integral with base 8, thus covering the opening that forms channel 4 on the surface of appendix 2.
- the attachment of the membrane 3 can be provided by gluing or heat welding, or by mechanical support (clamping ring, screwing, snap ).
- the membrane 3 is fixed so that the space between the membrane and the base 8 is waterproof along its periphery.
- the membrane 3 has an orifice 5a, arranged substantially at the top of appendix 2.
- the top of the appendix 2 has a protuberance 5b which coincides substantially with the opening 5a. This protuberance 5b fits into the hole 5a, when the membrane 3 is in a rest position, then closing the orifice 5a.
- the fluid 6 engages in channel 4.
- the membrane 3, advantageously elastic near this channel 4 extends laterally to form a passage of fluid 6 between the internal surface of membrane 3 and the external surface of appendix 2.
- the membrane 3 undergoes an outward push, substantially normal to its surface.
- the orifice 5a of the elastic membrane emerges from the protuberance 5b, in letting out the fluid under pressure.
- the elasticity of the membrane 3 is chosen to allow a flow through channel 4, through peripheral space 7, then through port 5a.
- the orifice 5a is shaped chosen so that the fluid flow is substantially unidirectional.
- the opening 5a can be of shape truncated conical with the top of the cone towards the top of the figure 1.
- the membrane is made of a material elastic such as natural rubber or material suitable synthetic, e.g. elasticity elastomer chosen.
- only part of the membrane 3 is made of an elastic material of the aforementioned type, while that another part is made of a relatively material rigid like polyvinyl chloride. This part different can then form a rigid band or a rigid cap, covering part of appendix 2.
- FIG. 2 we now refer to Figure 2 to describe a dispensing device according to the second embodiment cited above of the present invention.
- the body of the reservoir 1 is not shown in its entirety. We will then understand that its shape corresponds substantially to that shown in Figure 1.
- Appendix 2 is still substantially convex in shape (cylindro-ogival in the example described), but hollow according to this second embodiment. It is carried out in a rigid material such as polyvinyl chloride, preferably thin, and has a base 8, fixed to the tank 1. This fixing can be ensured by mechanical support such as screwing, snap-fastening or even by collage.
- orifice 5a is now provided at the top of Appendix 2.
- the membrane 3 is housed inside the appendix 2, in contact with its internal surface. It is carried out under the shape of a pocket containing a light compressed material 30 to maintain, in the rest position, its external surface in forced contact with the internal surface of appendix 2. In practical, it contains a gas under pressure, such as nitrogen, or a compressed soft foam (e.g. expanded polyurethane), or a compressible gel (by example a silicone gel).
- a gas under pressure such as nitrogen, or a compressed soft foam (e.g. expanded polyurethane), or a compressible gel (by example a silicone gel).
- the membrane may be of solid shape and made of a flexible elastic material. In both case, its compression results from the fact that its dimensions initials (unconstrained membrane) are greater than that of its housing which forms the cavity of the hollow appendage, or again due to further expansion.
- the membrane has chosen elasticity (substantially more rigid) to hold itself against the internal surface of the hollow appendage.
- the membrane 3 advantageously carries a protuberance 5b arranged to fit into the hole 5a that presents appendix 2. When the membrane 3 is in a position of rest, this protuberance 5b closes the orifice 5a.
- the elastic membrane 3, which comprises in the example describes a light compressed, firm material, rest position, the opening formed by channel 4 in the base 8 of appendix 2. Furthermore, the protuberance 5b of the membrane in the rest position, closes the orifice 5a that includes the hollow appendage 2 in this second embodiment.
- a part of the membrane 3 is made of a material substantially rigid such as polyvinyl chloride, forming a rigid band or cap.
- the hollow appendage 2 in this second embodiment plays the role of a rigid shell protecting the membrane 3.
- the delivery head of the device comprises a full appendage 2a (or, alternatively, hollow but closed in its upper part), on which is mounted, secured, a membrane 3, produced in the form of a pocket containing a compressed light material 30 of the type described above.
- the supply head has a shell rigid 2b, covering the appendix 2a and the membrane 3.
- This rigid shell is provided with an outlet orifice 5a in its top part and the membrane 3 is provided with a protuberance 5b which is introduced into the orifice 5a in a equilibrium position of the membrane (in the absence of actuation by tank pressure 1).
- a channel 4 communicating with the reservoir.
- this channel 4 communicates, on the one hand, with the tank 1 and, on the other hand, with an interface (or space peripheral) 7 between an external surface of the membrane 3 and an internal surface of the rigid shell 2b.
- the fluid 6, routed through channel 4 creeps into the interface 7 (peripheral space between the membrane 3 and the rigid shell 2b), until it exits through the orifice 5a of the rigid shell 2b, while the protrusion 5b of the membrane 3 subjected to the pressure exerted by the fluid 6, in particular on the material slight 30 which it contains, retracts towards the interior of the debtor head.
- the membrane 3 is preferably of elasticity different from base 8 to head outlet debtor. It is, in fact, planned to provide the device according to the invention of a membrane with a chosen profile (substantially thicker or resilient near the base 8) to obtain a differentiated clamping in the supply head, with a higher pressure on the fluid 6 at the base 8 than outlet 5a.
- a membrane profile 3 can be obtained by molding or again by cutting an elastic material of the aforementioned type, adapted to this profile.
- provision may be made to inject into the membrane 3, as compressed material 30, compressibility materials different, with less compressible materials at the base of the supply head.
- a thin film of fluid remains in the vicinity of the outlet of the device according to the invention, while than an even thinner film of waterproof fluid advantageously the interface between the fixed body and the membrane 3, which removes or, at least, minimizes a air contamination of the fluid in the tank 1.
- Figure 5 shows an embodiment of the device shown in Figure 3, in which the supply head is generally substantially flat in extension of the tank 1.
- the rigid shell 2b and, in particular, the full appendix 2a show general forms of warheads flattened on two lateral, parallel and symmetrical faces relative to the axis of the warhead.
- the membrane 3 is here produced in the form of a ribbon containing a compressed light material 30.
- a groove is provided on the periphery of the full appendage 2a for housing the material 30 enclosed by the membrane 3. This the latter is then joined by its ends to the edges of the peripheral throat of appendix 2a. Subject to pressure exerted by the light material 30, the membrane 3 comes in surface contact with a peripheral inner wall of the rigid shell 2b.
- the solid part 2a of the appendix has only one channel 4.
- two substantially symmetrical channels are provided which communicate, on the one hand, with the tank 1 and, on the other hand, with the peripheral space 7, close to base 8, allowing flow substantially symmetrical of the fluid in the delivery head of the device.
- a single channel 4 can be arranged in the part full of Appendix 2a.
- FIG. 4 a hybrid variant of the embodiments shown on Figures 1 and 3, in which the relative positions of the membrane 3 and the compressed light material 30 which it contains are reversed with respect to the illustrated embodiment in Figure 3.
- the outer surface of the membrane 3 is, in this variant, in surface contact with internal solid appendage 2a, which has a channel which communicates, on the one hand, with the tank 1 and, on the other part, with the interface (or peripheral space) 7 between the membrane 3 and appendix 2a.
- the membrane 3 is, in this variant, secured to the internal surface of the rigid shell 2b.
- the membrane 3 is provided with a orifice which communicates with orifice 5a of the rigid shell, while the full appendage 2a has a protrusion 5b which coincides, in the equilibrium position of the membrane 3, with the orifice that the latter comprises.
- the fluid 6, routed through channel 4 creeps into the interface (or peripheral space) 7 between the membrane 3 and the appendix full 2a, to the orifice 5a of the rigid shell 2b, while that the membrane 3 retracts against the rigid shell 2b, to form a fluid passage 6.
- the dispensing device according to the invention is also planned to equip the dispensing device according to the invention of a protective cap (not shown), having a hollow shape to substantially cover the membrane and / or appendix 2.
- the dispensing device according to the invention further includes a warranty seal to ensure the closure of the cap before a first employment.
- an elastic membrane in a device distributor on the one hand sealing the aforementioned opening of channel 4, and other share the sealing of the orifice 5a, when the reservoir 1 does not undergoes no external pressure (membrane 3 in position rest). Because the membrane 3 substantially matches the shape of the fixed body, it also ensures, in rest position, sealing the fluid passage that defines the peripheral space 7. The path of the fluid 6, from the reservoir 1 to the orifice 5a, is thus protected of any penetration of the external environment, and therefore of any pollution by it.
- the supply head may include a substantially convex mobile insert, instead of having a fixed body (or appendage).
- This insert can, for example, present in the form of a ball enveloped by the membrane elastic 3. This ball then rests on external walls of reservoir 1, like a ball resting on a bottle neck. When actuating by pressing the tank, the fluid pressure lifts the ball slightly. A passage of fluid between the ball and the reservoir forms then an equivalent of the aforementioned channel 4. The fluid can then flow into the peripheral space delimited by the surface of the ball and the internal surface of the membrane 3. It then flows through the orifice 5a of the membrane.
- such a device includes a reminder of the ball, elastic (spring) or magnetic (magnet, while the ball is made, for example, of iron), to facilitate the flow of the fluid 6 through the orifice 5a of the membrane.
- the concentric waves presented by the reservoir 1 allow to facilitate manual pressure that a user.
- a reservoir 1 substantially pear-shaped or other, from when this shape is hollow and the material in which it is made, is deformable.
- appendix 2 shown to be substantially cylindrical ogival in Figures 1 and 2, is described above at as an example. Indeed, Appendix 2 can present a different shape, but preferably convex, which advantageously allows an almost total surface contact of membrane 3 with appendix 2.
- Appendix 2 (membrane 3) has at its top a protuberance 5b in the first (second) embodiment described above.
- This protuberance 5b is essentially of optional and may disappear in a form of different embodiment of the present invention.
- the appendix 2 is of substantially convex, full shape. In alternatively, this shape may be hollow.
- the appendix includes then a base 8 secured to the tank 1, and crossed by at least one channel 4 communicating on the one hand with the reservoir and on the other hand with the peripheral space 7.
- channel 4 crosses base 8 without communication with the interior of appendix 2, which isolates the hollow interior of the appendage from any penetration of the external medium and / or fluid 6.
- the base 8 of appendix 2 includes a single channel 4 communicating with the reservoir 1.
- more channels may be provided for promote the flow of fluid. Indeed, it can be expected an increasing number of channels with the viscosity of the fluid.
- the number of orifices 5a can also increase with the viscosity of the fluid, these orifices being arranged substantially in an upper part of the membrane 3 or Appendix 2, in the first or second embodiments, respectively.
- the arrangement of a single orifice advantageously makes it possible to limit the risks of contamination of the fluid by the environment in which it bathes the outside of the membrane or appendix.
- the full appendages can be, in respective variants, hollow but not having an opening only near their base to form a channel 4.
- the reservoir 1 can be produced in the form of a fluid distribution duct 6, for example to a downstream end of a fluid distributor circuit.
