Abstract
Description
The object of the invention relates to a knitted Sock with a toe area, the edge of which is essentially one Course of toes follows, as well as a manufacturing process a knitted sock.
Such a formation of a sock is, for example, by the U.S. Patent 3,217,336. This patent discloses that the The toe region of the knitted sock is essentially shaped in this way is that it follows the shape of the toes when worn. Correspondingly, between a sock for a right foot and to distinguish a sock for a left foot.
Although the proposal under U.S. Patent 3,217,336 has been around for some time Time is known, such socks have not been on the market enforced. According to U.S. Patent 3,217,336, the toe area the sock is knitted from a single thread.
Proceeding from this, the objective of the present invention is based on a knitted sock with a toe area, the edge of which essentially follows the shape of a toe train that this has increased comfort.
Another object of the invention is to provide a method through which a sock with an edge that is essentially follows a course of the toes, can be knitted, whereby the sock is more comfortable to wear. This object is achieved by the features of the claim 1 or claim 7 solved. Advantageous further training and embodiments of the sock according to the invention are the subject of the respective dependent claims.
Socks are known from US Pat. No. 2,144,563 Toe area knitted from a basic thread and another thread but the edge of the toe area is not that The course of the toes follows.
The knitted sock according to the invention with a toe area, the edge of which essentially follows the shape of a toe, is characterized in that the toe area essentially is knitted throughout. Through this configuration according to the invention the knitted sock is raised in the toe area Comfort achieved because none in this toe area seams that are perceived as disturbing are present.
In particular, seams are avoided that are used to attach to the big or small toe could get. These seams will be perceived as particularly annoying when one foot is clad with the knitted sock in closed footwear in the toe area is because the footwear, which is close fitting, is the seam presses against the big or the small toe.
At this point it should be noted that under the term Socks are also understood to be stockings. A sock in the sense of Invention is any footwear that is knitted and one Has toe area.
According to a further advantageous embodiment of the invention it is proposed that the toe area be designed that the inclined edges of the toe area under different angles with respect to a common base are. Here is preferably the edge area that the Wearing the sock next to the big toe is more inclined than the opposite edge area.
To further increase the comfort of the sock according to the invention suggested that the toe area consist of a basic thread and at least one another thread is knitted. Through the at least one additional thread reached toe padding.
The at least one further thread is preferably of a higher thread Loop density knitted as the basic thread. The sock as such points preferably a continuous basic thread. By the higher one Loop density of the at least one further thread is a padding of the Toe area reached with simple means.
The knitted sock is formed in the toe area so that it essentially the outer contour of the toes follows. Correspondingly, for a left foot and for a right foot differently contoured socks necessary. To the It will make it easier to distinguish between a left and a right sock suggested that the sock be at least an optical and / or haptic Has marking. The marking is preferably knitted in.
To make a knitted sock with a toe area, the edge of which is in the essentially follows a course of toes, the toe area in the is essentially knitted continuously, a method is proposed in which the sock is knitted in particular on a circular knitting machine. It will first a cylindrical section is formed by circular knitting. To the cylindrical section is followed by the toe area, the edge of which is in the essentially follows a course of toes. The training of the toe area takes place in the method according to the invention in that up to one At least in the middle, the number of stitches of the individual rows of stitches be reduced on one side. After that, the number of stitches becomes the following Mesh rows enlarged at least on one side. The toe area thus formed is then sewn together.
According to an advantageous development of the method, it is proposed that the number of stitches is reduced evenly in each stitch row. The increase is advantageously carried out on both sides with two needles to the end of the toe area.
According to a further advantageous embodiment of the method proposed that two courses be reduced on both sides. The first two rows of stitches are preferably reduced. To this Row of stitches follows a row of stitches, for which an increase finger is used at least two needles are connected on one side, so that the number of Stitches is increased. This course is followed by two courses, the be reduced on both sides. The decrease and the increase in the mesh in the individual rows of stitches is repeated alternately up to one The central region. The increase is based on the opposite principle. After every In the third row, the increase finger stops on one side, either on the right or on the left. A standard row is preferably knitted in the middle.
According to yet another advantageous embodiment of the method suggested that in a first step in a row of stitches optionally a needle is connected to an edge by means of a modified middle finger. In a further step, this row of stitches becomes a row of stitches formed, which is reduced on both sides by means of the lower finger. The single ones Steps are repeated alternately up to the middle area. Then there is a Increase in stitches, passing every second row through increasing fingers optionally a needle is activated on one or the other edge becomes.
A method is preferred in which a modified minor finger is used two needles are deactivated on both sides. With a modified one Increasing fingers become one needle on each side up to the middle area brought. The little fingers are switched off from the middle area. In the In the following rows, a needle is activated on both sides.
According to yet another advantageous embodiment of the method proposed that two needles on both sides by means of a lower finger Activity. Yet another way of making a sock is below explained with reference to the development of the toe region shown in FIG. 12 denotes a central region of the toe region, around which the opposite areas can be folded.
With the help of a finger, two needles become inactive on both sides brought. With a modified increase finger becomes 12 up to the middle area a needle is activated on both sides, as is illustrated at 15. From in the middle area the little fingers are turned off. In the following Stitches in the toe area become one needle on each side brought.
Figure 8 illustrates yet another way of forming a
Toe area. The illustration shows the toe area as a development.

Claims (12)
- Knitted sock (1, 2) with a toe region (3) whose edge (4) substantially follows the shape of toes, whereby the toe region (3) is substantially continuously knitted, characterised in that the toe region (3) is cushioned by at least one additional thread.
- Sock according to Claim 1, characterised in that the toe region (3) has edge sections (5, 6) inclined towards each other, and inclined at different angles relative to a common base (7).
- Sock according to Claim 1 or 2, characterised in that the additional thread is knitted with a greater loop density than the base thread (10).
- Sock according to Claim 1, 2 or 3, characterised in that it has at least one optical and/or haptic marking (11).
- Sock according to Claim 4, characterised in that the marking (11) is knitted in.
- Sock according to one of the claims 1 to 5, characterised in that it has additional cushioning which accords with the anatomical shape of a foot.
- Method for manufacturing a knitted sock (1, 2) in which a cylindrical section is formed by circular knitting, having a toe region (3) whose edge (4) substantially follows the shape of toes, through at least one-sided reduction of the stitch number as far as a middle region (12), whereby from this the stitch number subsequently increases at least on one side and whereby in the toe region (3) at least one additional thread is knitted in for formation of cushioning.
- Method according to Claim 7, in which the reduction is even in every stitch row.
- Method according to Claim 8, in which the increase takes place on both sides with two needles each until the end of the toe region.
- Method according to Claim 7, in which two stitch rows are reduced on both sides and in the following stitch row at least two needles are additionally added in on one side by means of a widening finger, whereby on this stitch row two stitch rows are reduced on both sides and the procedure is repeated until the middle region, and the increase takes place according to the reverse principle.
- Method according to Claim 7, in which a) in one stitch row, optionally on one edge one needle is added in by means of an amended middle finger, b) the stitch cow following this row is reduced on both sides by means of a narrowing finger, whereby the step a) alternates with the step b) as far as the middle region and thereafter an increase in the stitches takes place, whereby after every second row, the widening finger puts a needle into operation optionally on one or other edge.
- Method according to Claim 7, in which by means of a narrowing finger, on each side two fingers are put out of operation, by means of a widening finger a needle is put into operation on one edge, whereby from the middle region, the narrowing finger is disengaged and in the subsequent stitch rows, at least one needle is put into operation on one edge.
