Description

The invention relates to a circular knitted part, with a base knit knitted with at least one base knit thread and consisting of several rows of stitches knitted together in the longitudinal direction of the base knit and running in a spiral shape.

Such circular knitted parts are known, for example, in the form of a foot or leg stocking, an arm stocking, a body part, a bandage or similar. They consist of a basic knit that is knitted from at least one basic knit thread, for example from PA, PES, PP or a natural fiber such as cotton or silk, whereby two or more basic knit threads can also be knitted together. Rows of stitches are knitted in a spiral shape, so that an overall tubular circular knitted part is produced. If an elastic thread is also inserted either as a weft thread or knitted in, the circular knitted part is given elastic to compression properties, as is required, for example, in the therapeutic field.

Sometimes it is desired to give such a circular knitted part a specific function locally, for example to form a kind of cushioning section or plush section, so that an area of the body covered with this section, for example a joint or a sensitive area of skin, is padded and less stressed. Sometimes it is also desired to use the circular knitted part itself to replicate an anatomical body shape, i.e. to design it geometrically in a certain way, for example when the circular knitted part is pulled over a joint in order to improve the fit and comfort and reduce any wrinkles. A knitted part in which a haptically soft, plush-like and thus cushioning section is provided, and which is knitted in such a way that a geometric effect for adaptation to a body shape is produced, for example from EP 2 792 774 A1 To form the haptically pleasant area, a correspondingly increased number of floats is knitted, while to change the geometry, the corresponding area is knitted plain, resulting in an increased number of basic stitches and thus a larger knitted volume.

Weitere beispielhafte Rundgestrickteile sind in den Dokumenten DE 20 2004 003417 U1 , DE 628 904 C , GB 714 581 A , US 3 603 116 A , EP 0 845 553 A1 , US 5 592 836 A , US 2 229 105 A , DE 15 85 117 A1 und US 4 015 448 A offenbart.Further examples of circular knitted pieces can be found in the documents DE 20 2004 003417 U1 , DE 628 904 C , GB714581A , US 3 603 116 A , EP 0 845 553 A1 , US 5 592 836 A , US 2 229 105 A , EN 15 85 117 A1 and US 4 015 448 A disclosed.

The invention is based on the problem of specifying a basic knitted part in which a function-oriented or geometry-oriented area is realized in a simple manner.

To solve this problem, the invention provides a circular knitted part according to claim 1. In the case of the basic knitted part, the invention provides that, viewed in the longitudinal direction of the basic knitted fabric, between two rows of stitches of the basic knitted fabric, an additional thread forming stitches and connecting the rows of stitches is knitted in to form an additional row of stitches, the additional row of stitches being formed by at least one separate additional thread.

In the circular knitted part according to the invention, which has no longitudinal seam, an additional stitch row is knitted locally by means of at least one additional thread between two rows of stitches of the basic knit which are connected to one another in the longitudinal direction of the knit and each consist of several stitches. This additional stitch row is therefore knitted between the two basic knit stitch rows, the additional stitch row connects the stitches of the two basic knit stitch rows. In relation to a wale, the number of stitches per wale increases by knitting the additional stitch row. Viewed in the longitudinal direction of the knit, corresponding additional stitches can be knitted in sections between several such pairs of stitch rows of the basic knit to form a corresponding larger area. knitted, whereby each additional stitch row is formed by means of its own, separate additional thread. Corresponding additional stitch rows are also formed in the respective wale. The individual additional stitches of an additional stitch row can be formed by separate additional threads, or several or all additional stitches can be formed by a common additional thread be educated.

This makes it possible to create one or more defined, delimited areas or sections that extend in the longitudinal and circumferential directions of the knitted fabric and that contain the additional stitches in addition to the basic knitted stitches. The more additional stitches are provided in the circumferential direction, the wider the specific area created can be in the circumferential direction. The more additional stitches are created in the longitudinal direction of the knitted fabric, the higher the specific area created can be. Each additional thread begins and ends between two rows of stitches in the basic knitted fabric, so it does not run around with the basic knitted thread.

By knitting in the additional threads, i.e. by creating the additional stitch rows, a partial increase and decrease of stitches in the circular knitted part is achieved. The number of stitches is therefore only increased locally via the additional stitches. The additional stitches are knitted as described as additional stitches between stitches of the basic knit, connecting them, i.e. they are neither knitted into the basic knit stitches nor subsequently knitted in.

This results in a number of advantages. Firstly, the additional stitches or threads can be used to create an area that feels different to the basic knit, for example a cushioning, plush-like or soft area, resulting from the increased additional volume and sometimes also the type or quality of the additional thread. For example, a local padding section can be created that cushions a joint or an irritated area of skin or something similar.

In addition, it is also possible to treat an affected area of skin locally by knitting a therapeutically effective thread. For example, a silver thread can be knitted as an additional thread, which has an antibacterial effect. Other threads, which are, for example, treated with a therapeutic agent, can also be knitted so that the agent reaches the part of the body that needs to be treated when the circular knitted item is worn.

Knitting in the additional stitches or additional threads offers the possibility of creating a function-oriented area.

Alternatively or in addition to this, by knitting in the additional stitches and thus increasing the stitch volume in the circumferential and/or longitudinal direction of the knitted fabric, it is possible to change the geometry in order to adapt the shape of the circular knitted part to the anatomical shape of the body section to be covered. For example, a corresponding local curvature can be achieved if the circular knitted part overlaps a joint, for example in the area of a knee, ankle or elbow. A corresponding knitted part geometry is also suitable in the area of the toes to treat a hallux valgus. Such a geometry adjustment can also be achieved in a simple manner by knitting in the additional stitches.

Each additional stitch or additional row of stitches between two rows of stitches in the basic knitted fabric is formed by a separate additional thread as described. In the finished knitted fabric, a corresponding number of separate additional threads are therefore knitted, which has the advantage that the additional thread does not have to be carried through the entire basic knitted fabric, but is only knitted in locally where the corresponding function- or geometry-oriented area is to be formed.

There are different options for the position of the additional stitches between the pairs of basic knitted stitch rows. It is possible to knit the additional stitches between consecutive pairs of stitch rows. In this case, the basic knitted stitches and the Additional stitches follow one another, a first basic stitch is followed by a first additional stitch, this is followed by a second basic stitch followed by a second additional stitch, which in turn is followed by a third basic stitch, etc.

Alternatively, it is conceivable that, again viewed in the longitudinal direction of the fabric or in the direction of the wales, the additional stitches are knitted between pairs of stitch rows spaced apart from one another by one or more stitch rows. In this case, the additional stitches are therefore not knitted alternately to the basic knit stitches, but rather there are two or more basic knit stitches between two additional stitches. It is of course conceivable to form different sections of the type described above within a function- or geometry-oriented area.

According to a further development of the invention, it can be provided that, viewed in the circumferential direction, several additional stitch sections, each comprising several additional stitches, are knitted between pairs of stitch rows of the basic knitted fabric. Viewed in the circumferential direction, two or more spaced-apart areas with increased stitch volume can therefore be formed, which extend in the longitudinal and circumferential directions.

Furthermore, it can be provided that the additional stitches connect the consecutive stitches of the two stitch rows. In this case, the two basic knitted stitch rows are completely connected via the respective additional stitch row, and there is no stitch connection between the two basic knitted stitch rows over the length of the additional stitch row formed from the additional stitches. Alternatively, it is possible that the Additional stitches only connect the nth stitches of the two stitch rows, where n ≥ 2. According to this alternative invention, a virtually arbitrary sequence is therefore conceivable. For example, the additional stitches can be knitted with every second stitch of the two basic knitted stitch rows, so that the additional stitches and the basic knitted stitches alternate. However, it is also conceivable that the additional stitches are only knitted on every third or fourth basic knitted stitch, or conversely, several additional stitches are knitted one after the other, after which one or more basic knitted stitches of the two stitch rows are again knitted directly with one another, which are then followed by additional stitches, etc. The possible variations within the area in which additional stitches are knitted in at all are therefore arbitrary.

If the additional stitches only connect the nth stitches of the basic knit, the respective additional thread lies preferably loosely between two additional stitches, provided that the individual additional stitches are not knitted with separate additional threads.

It is of course possible to form different area sections within the area of the basic knit in which the additional threads are knitted or the additional stitches are provided, in which the additional threads or the additional stitches are knitted in different ways with the basic knit rows of stitches. It is thus conceivable to create at least a first area section in which, viewed in the circumferential direction, the additional threads or the additional stitches only connect the nth stitches of the two stitch rows, and at least a second area section in which the additional threads or the additional stitches connect the successive stitches of the two stitch rows. The local arrangement of the additional stitches can also vary in the longitudinal direction of the knit, as described above. Different area sections are thus formed in which a different additional stitch volume is given. This makes it possible, for example, to create a transition area coming from the basic knit in which a smaller number of additional stitches is given, which then an area with a significantly higher number of additional stitches. The possible variations are ultimately unlimited.

This also applies to the arrangement or positioning of these different area sections in the basic knitted fabric itself. The area sections can be connected to one another or separated from one another in the circumferential direction and/or in the longitudinal direction of the basic knitted fabric. Alternatively, the area sections can also lie inside one another and be connected to one another or be separated from one another. The area sections, the edge geometry of which is ultimately arbitrary, can therefore run horizontally next to one another or vertically above one another or diagonally or at an angle to one another, they can be directly connected to one another or slightly separated from one another. For example, they can lie inside one another in a circular or elliptical shape and be directly connected to one another or slightly spaced from one another, etc. Here, too, there is a very wide range of variation.

As described, a central feature of the circular knit according to the invention is that between two basic knit rows, an additional stitch row comprising several additional stitches is created using a separate additional thread, each of which has a beginning and an end in the basic knit or is led into or out of the circular knit. In the circumferential direction, one or more additional threads are knitted between two basic knit rows to form additional stitches. Viewed in the longitudinal direction of the knit, there are also individual additional threads between pairs of basic knit rows. In order to avoid an additional thread being pulled out of the basic knit too easily and a ladder stitch forming, an advantageous development of the invention provides that each additional thread is locked with both ends in the basic knit. Each additional thread is thus integrated into the basic knit in a sufficiently stable or secure manner in terms of knitting technology. This locking is preferably done using at least one tuck binding and one float, with preferably several alternating tuck bindings and floats being implemented for locking. The additional thread is therefore located with its beginning and its end via catch and float in the basic knit, so it is technically integrated or guided in the basic knit, although not tied via stitches. Its ends can protrude slightly from the basic knit by one or a few millimeters on the left warning side facing the body when worn. Other knitting lockings instead of catch and float are also conceivable.

It is also possible to knit the additional stitches knitted using separate additional threads, in particular the additional stitch sections or area sections, with additional threads that are different in color and/or type. This can be used to create sections or areas that are different in color, for example, or areas that have different tactile properties due to the different type of additional threads used. If additional threads of the same color are knitted, the color of the additional threads can differ from that of the basic knitted thread.

The basic knitted thread and the additional thread can be either elastic or inelastic. Two "identical" threads can be knitted together, for example an inelastic basic knitted thread and an inelastic additional thread, but it is also conceivable to use an inelastic basic knitted thread and an elastic additional thread, or vice versa. It is also conceivable to knit another elastic or inelastic reinforcing thread with the additional thread to form a stitch. This reinforcing thread is plated. Just as the additional thread is a separate thread, the reinforcing thread can also be a separate thread.

Finally, it is conceivable to insert an elastic, particularly compression-providing weft thread into the stitches of the basic knit. Such an elastic weft thread gives the circular knit even more elastic properties, including compression-providing properties. In the latter case, it is a compressive circular knit part. In addition to the circular knitted part itself, the invention further relates to a method for producing a circular knitted part of the type described. This method is characterized in that a basic knit is knitted with at least one basic knit thread from several spiral-shaped rows of stitches that are knitted together in the longitudinal direction of the basic knit, wherein, viewed in the longitudinal direction of the basic knit, between two rows of stitches of the basic knit, a stitch-forming additional thread that connects the rows of stitches is knitted in to form an additional stitch, wherein the additional stitch is formed via a separate additional thread.

The method according to claim 14 can be carried out on a circular knitting machine as well as on a flat knitting machine on which circular knitting can be carried out. As described above, a large number of additional stitches in the form of additional stitch rows can of course also be knitted in sections using separate additional threads. The additional threads are knitted into the basic knitted fabric at the appropriate point during the continuous knitting process, so that the corresponding function- or geometry-oriented area(s) is/are formed on the finished circular knitted fabric.

In this case, based on a wale in which at least one additional stitch is provided, first a stitch of a first row of stitches of the basic knit is knitted, after which at least one additional stitch is knitted, after which the stitch of a second row of stitches of the basic knit is knitted, whereby the additional stitch connects the two stitches of the first and second row of stitches. Of course, this knitting pattern is repeated until the desired number of additional stitches has been knitted.

Viewed in the longitudinal direction of the fabric, at least one additional row of stitches can be knitted between several pairs of stitch rows of the basic fabric using at least one separate additional thread.

The additional stitches can be knitted between consecutive pairs of stitch rows, so that additional stitches and Alternate basic knitting stitches. Alternatively, the additional threads can also be knitted between pairs of stitch rows spaced apart by two or more rows of stitches.

Furthermore, viewed in the circumferential direction between two rows of stitches of the basic knit, several additional stitches can be knitted that form additional stitch rows, which are knitted with at least one common additional thread or each with at least one separate additional thread. In this case, viewed in the circumferential direction between two rows of stitches of the basic knit, several additional stitch sections, each comprising several additional stitches, can be knitted. The additional stitches or the additional stitch rows formed from several additional stitches are therefore knitted in sections or offset in the circumferential direction.

The additional threads can be knitted in such a way that they or the additional stitches connect the consecutive stitches of the two stitch rows, or that they only connect the nth stitches of the two stitch rows, where n ≥ 2. In the latter case, the additional threads are preferably placed loosely between two additional stitches.

When producing the circular knit, it is also conceivable to create different sections in which the additional threads or the additional stitches are knitted in a different order with the stitches of the basic knit. For example, a first section in which the additional threads only connect the nth stitches of the two rows of stitches and at least a second section in which the additional threads connect the consecutive stitches of the two rows of stitches can be knitted. These areas can ultimately be positioned as desired in the circumferential direction and/or lengthwise direction, they can also lie inside each other, etc. Any geometry or relative position of the sections to each other can be realized.

An additional knitted thread is locked at both ends in the basic knitted fabric, which is preferably done using a tuck binding and a float. Preferably, several alternating tuck bindings and floats are provided for locking.

An elastic or inelastic base knitted thread and an elastic or inelastic additional thread can be used, whereby the elasticity of the threads used does not have to be the same, but can be the same. Furthermore, another elastic or inelastic, plating reinforcing thread can be knitted into the additional thread to form a stitch, whereby this reinforcing thread is also preferably a separate thread, like the additional thread.

Finally, an elastic, particularly compression-giving weft thread can be inserted into the stitches of the basic knit in order to give the circular knit part overall or locally defined elastic or even compression-giving properties.

All statements regarding circular knitted items apply equally to the corresponding manufacturing process, and vice versa.

Fig.1 shows a circular knitted part 1 according to the invention in the form of a stocking 2, which in a known manner has a foot part 3 and a calf part 4 and which is closed at the upper end by a waistband 5. By way of example, in the stocking area, which in the illustration lies in the area of the ankle, two specific areas 6 are realized, each consisting of a first area section 7 and a second area section 8. In these areas 6 or area sections 7, 8, a plurality of separate additional threads are knitted in to form additional stitches or additional stitch rows in the manner described below, in order to give the respective areas 6 a specific functional orientation or to form a specific geometry. These separate additional threads are knitted into the basic knit made of at least one basic knit thread, over which the calf section 4 is formed here, as will be discussed below.

Fig.2 shows an example of a stitch pattern of section II from Fig.1 This section shows the transition from the basic knitted fabric 9 to the first section 7 of the upper section 6.

Shown in the section according to Fig.2 a part of the basic knitted fabric 9, which is knitted from a basic knitted fabric thread 10, for example a sufficiently inelastic PA thread. For example, an elastic weft thread is inserted into the individual stitch rows 11 of the basic knitted fabric 9, which - since it is a circular knitted part - run in a spiral shape, which also runs around the entire weft, which gives the basic knitted fabric an elastic and even compression-giving property.

To form the knitted fabric area 7, several separate additional threads 13 are knitted between adjacent basic knitted fabric rows 11 in the longitudinal direction L of the knitted fabric in the section shown. Over these separate additional threads 13 Separate additional stitch rows 14 consisting of several additional stitches 17 are knitted in, viewed in the circumferential direction U, thus increasing the total stitch volume in the area. There is a defined increase in the number of stitches in this area, which - see Fig.1 - is geometrically defined and limited. For reasons of clarity, the adjacent basic knitted stitch rows 11, between which additional stitch rows 14 are knitted, are shown slightly spread out in the longitudinal direction L of the knit. In the longitudinal direction L of the knit, i.e. in the respective wale 19, an additional stitch row is also formed by the individual additional stitches 17, whereby the additional stitches on the wale side are all knitted from different additional threads 13.

Each additional thread 13 is connected with its two ends (in Fig.2 only one end of the respective additional thread 13 is shown) is locked in the basic knit 9. This is done by means of several tucks 15 and floats 16 which alternate with one another. This locking prevents the formation of ladder stitches.

In Umfangsrichtung U gesehen wechseln also Zusatzmaschen 17 und Grundgestrickmaschen 18 einander ab. To form the additional stitch rows 14, the additional thread 13 is then knitted with a stitch after locking. The additional stitches 17 connect the stitches 18 of the adjacent basic knitted stitch rows 11. They are therefore knitted between these stitches. As shown in the stitch pattern Fig.2 can be seen, the additional stitches 17 are only knitted on every second stitch, i.e. on every second needle, so that the basic knitted stitches 18, viewed in the circumferential direction U, are still directly interwoven with one another adjacent to the additional stitches 17. Viewed in the circumferential direction U, additional stitches 17 and basic knitted stitches 18 alternate with one another. This also applies when viewed in the longitudinal direction L of the knit, i.e. in the direction of the individual wales 19. In the wales 19 into which no additional stitches are knitted, there are only basic knitted stitches 18. By knitting in the additional stitches 17 or forming the additional stitch rows 14, the stitch volume in the area section 7 is increased. Instead of the 1:1 alternation of additional stitches 17 and basic knitted stitches 18 shown here, it is Of course, it is also possible to knit two or three additional stitches 17 one after the other, followed by one, two or three basic stitches 18, etc. Any sequence can be realized.

At the other end (not shown), each additional thread 13 also ends in a lock in the basic knit.

It is clear that the additional stitches 17 or the additional stitch rows 14 are only partially knitted into the basic fabric 9, i.e. in sections in the circumferential direction U. The area width can ultimately be set via the circumferential length. The area height is defined by the corresponding number of knitted additional threads 13 in the longitudinal direction L of the fabric.

Fig. 3 zeigt ein Maschenbild des Ausschnitts III aus Fig. 1. Fig.3 shows a stitch pattern of section III from Fig.1 . While Fig.2 showing the transition from the basic fabric 9 to the first section 7, Fig.3 the transition from the basic knitted fabric 9 to the second section 8 of the area 6. The basic knitted fabric 9 was made as described from a basic knitted fabric thread 10, the basic knitted fabric stitch rows 11 are also equipped here as an example with a spiral-shaped weft thread 12. Here too, additional stitch rows 14 comprising a plurality of individual additional stitches 17 are knitted between several pairs of circular knitted stitch rows using a separate additional thread 13. Here too, each separate additional thread 13 is locked in the basic knitted fabric 9 in a ladder-proof manner via a locking mechanism formed from a tuck binding 15 and a float 16. This also applies here, of course, to both ends of the respective additional thread 13.

The additional stitches 17 are connected to the respective locking, whereby all basic knit stitches 18 of the two adjacent basic knit stitch rows 11 are connected to one another via additional stitches 17, i.e. the respective additional stitch row 14 connects the two adjacent basic knit stitch rows 11 over its entire length. The number of additional stitches 14 is therefore significantly larger in the area section 8 than in the area section 7. This means that the area section 8 in turn has different properties than area section 7, which can be seen as a transition area.

It is clear that the knitting of the additional stitches 17 or the additional stitch rows 14 leads to a local increase in the stitch volume. If sufficient additional volume is knitted in, this leads to a corresponding change in the geometry of the knitted fabric, so that corresponding curvatures or the like, i.e. geometric effects, can be realized, which can be better adapted to the anatomy of the body section covered by the area. This increases wearing comfort and is also beneficial to any therapeutic effect.

While in the figures the respective additional stitches 17 or the additional stitch rows 14 are only inserted between every second basic knit stitch row pair, seen in the longitudinal direction L of the knit, it is of course conceivable to also insert the additional stitch rows 14 between every consecutive basic knit stitch row pair or only between every third pair, etc.

How Fig.1 shows, the two area sections 7, 8 are directly adjacent to each other. Seen in the circumferential direction U of the circular knitted part 1, this means that the respective additional thread 13 is initially knitted with the stitch pattern as in Fig.2 shown, is knitted in a stitch-forming manner, i.e. only on every second stitch of the basic knit 9 or on every second needle. With the transition to the second section 8, the stitch pattern then changes abruptly, the respective additional thread 13 is from then on knitted on every basic knit stitch or on every needle, so that the stitch pattern corresponds to the Fig.3 If the second area section 8 changes back into a first area section 7, the stitch pattern changes again to that according to Fig.2 , after which this section 7 merges again into the basic knitted fabric 9.

However, it is not necessary that these different sections of the area are connected to each other. Of course, they can also be separated from each other spaced apart, just as only one or the other area section or one or the other knitting method can be realized to form the respective area.

Although Fig.1 a calf sock, the circular knitted part can of course also have any other shape. It can be a complete leg sock, an arm sock or a body part. It is conceivable to create corresponding function-specific or geometry-specific areas on all of these circular knitted parts.
