Description

The invention relates to a compression article produced on a knitting machine, in which the number of stitches per row of stitches is adapted to the radial circumference of the part of the body to be treated by the compression article.

Such compression articles in the form of compression stockings, compression gloves, foot caps and the like are used in particular to prevent or treat edema, varicose veins, venous insufficiency and after venous surgery. Corresponding examples are in the documents DE 10 2015 115228 B3 , EP 1 621 164 A1 , WO 03/040449 A1 , U.S. 4,527,402 A and EP 2 848 235 A1 described.

Other elastic items are joint bandages or burn bandages. Supportive bandages are used in sports to protect against injuries and sometimes also to increase performance.

Due to the good elastic properties, these articles are mainly produced as knitted fabrics, with production on a flat knitting machine being the norm. The article is produced as a flat knitted fabric, the longitudinal edges of which are then sewn together, resulting in the desired three-dimensional article. The flat-lying knitted fabric is knitted with more stitches per row in areas in which the body part to be treated has a larger circumference than in areas with a smaller circumference. The stitch increases and the stitch reductions take place at the edges of the flat knitted fabric. This means that after closing the longitudinal seam of the flat-lying knitted fabric, this longitudinal seam has a curved course, while the opposite circumferential area of the compression article runs absolutely straight in the longitudinal direction. The shape of the compression article thus imitates the anatomy of the body part only imperfectly. In particular, the longitudinal axes of the compression article and the body part do not coincide.

However, in patients, bulging and changes in shape of the affected part of the body are possible at all points of the circumference. A lower leg of such a patient can therefore not only show the muscle-related increase in circumference in the calf area, but also bulges in the shin area. Therefore, the compression articles that have been available up to now do not fit sufficiently even if the body part is accurately measured and the compression article is custom-made. In addition, the flat knitting technology used today and described above is only suitable to a limited extent for the manufacture of such products. The object of the invention is therefore to provide compression articles with an improved fit.

The object is achieved by a compression article produced on a knitting machine, in particular a flat knitting machine knitted fabric produced, in which the number of stitches per row of stitches is adapted to the radial circumference of the part of the body to be treated by the compression article, the compression article being a compression stocking, and which is characterized in that it has several in the circumferential direction in order to adapt to the shape of the part of the body to be treated has points distributed over its circumference at which stitches increase and/or decrease stitches in a row of stitches, and that the number of stitches in the direction of the wales varies over the circumference of the compression article and the compression article is thereby additionally adapted to the shape of the body part to be treated in the longitudinal direction of the body part is.

The compression article according to the invention is characterized in that stitch increases and/or stitch reductions occur at those circumferential points at which the body part to be supported also experiences a change in circumference and no longer only in the area of the longitudinal seam of the article. In addition, the fit in the longitudinal direction is improved by also varying the number of stitches in the wale direction of the compression article over its circumference. For example, a compression stocking according to the invention can have more rows of stitches in the calf area than in the shin area. This allows not only a better fit of the compression article, but also a more even distribution of the compression pressure on the body part. The three-dimensional knitted article therefore has improved effectiveness in addition to improved fit.

The compression article can preferably be knitted in such a way that its central longitudinal axis coincides with the central longitudinal axis of the body part to be treated. This makes it possible to achieve particularly uniform pressure conditions over the circumference of the body part.

It is also advantageous if the compression article is produced as a three-dimensional flat or circular knitted fabric. A three-dimensional structure is created by stitch accumulations in a central area of the knitted fabric. However, the compression article can also be produced as a seamless tubular-round knitted fabric and thus obtain a three-dimensional shape. The step of subsequently sewing the edges of the knitted fabric together can then be omitted.

Preferably, the compression article may additionally be made using spiking techniques. Almost any three-dimensional structure can be produced with lacing techniques in connection with the stitch increase and/or stitch decrease distributed over the circumference.

In a preferred embodiment, the compression article can be formed from a plurality of strip-shaped partial sections which are separated from one another in the circumferential direction of the compression article by zones with increased and/or decreased stitches.

Depending on the number of sections, compression articles can thus be produced in a technically relatively simple manner, in which there is an increase in the stitches and/or a reduction in the stitches at a number of circumferential locations. Consequently, the side edges of the partial sections cannot run parallel to one another.

In addition, at least some of the sections can have a different number of rows of stitches or a different length of wales (=number of stitches per wale) in order to be able to adapt the compression article well to the contour of the body part in its longitudinal direction. Preferably, the division of the knitted fabric into sections, the number of stitches per row of stitches in the sections and the number of rows of stitches per section can be determined accordingly from data obtained when measuring the part of the body to be supported.

The compression article is also produced in a manner known per se, at least partially using elastic yarns.

The elastic threads can form the basic weave of the article and/or be integrated as weft and/or warp threads.

In certain embodiments, additional benefits accrue as the compressive pressure applied to the body part by the compression article decreases from the article's distal end to the proximal end. This measure supports the draining of lymphatic fluid towards the heart and thus promotes the elimination of excess fluid from the body.

The compression article may be made from a double faced or double layered knit. For example, the knit may be made of an R-R weave. Or it can have several R-L layers that are connected to one another over a large area or at points.

  • Vermessen des durch den Kompressionsartikel zu stützenden Körperteils an einzelnen Messpunkten;
  • Auswahl eines Grundschnittes für den Kompressionsartikel aus einem Katalog, dessen Maße am besten mit dem vermessenen Körperteil übereinstimmen;
  • Korrektur der Maschenzahl der Maschenreihen und der Anzahl der Maschen in den einzelnen Maschenstäbchen des Grundschnittes entsprechend den Maßen des Körperteils in Umfangs- und Körperteillängsrichtung zwischen den Messpunkten, wobei der korrigierte Grundschnitt durch Berechnen mehrerer längs verlaufender, den Kompressionsartikel (10) bildende, Teilabschnitte hergestellt wird, wobei die Teilabschnitte (11 bis 14) in Umfangsrichtung des Kompressionsartikels (10) jeweils durch Zonen (15 bis an ihren Längsrändern, in denen die Maschenzahl der Maschenreihen des Gestricks (10) vermindert und/oder vergrößert wird, voneinander getrennt sind und wobei zumindest einige der Teilabschnitte eine unterschiedliche Anzahl von Maschenreihen aufweisen;
The invention also relates to a first method for producing a compression stocking on a knitting machine, in particular a flat knitting machine, with the following steps:
  • measuring the body part to be supported by the compression article at individual measuring points;
  • selecting from a catalog a baseline compression article fit whose measurements best match the measured body part;
  • Correction of the number of stitches of the rows and the number of stitches in the individual wales of the basic pattern according to the dimensions of the body part in the circumferential and longitudinal direction of the body part between the measuring points, the corrected basic pattern being produced by calculating a plurality of longitudinal sections forming the compression article (10). , wherein the sub-sections (11 to 14) are separated from one another in the circumferential direction of the compression article (10) by zones (15 to at their longitudinal edges, in which the number of stitches of the rows of stitches of the knitted fabric (10) is reduced and/or increased, and wherein at least some of the sections have a different number of courses;
  • Knitting the corrected basic pattern on a knitting machine, in particular a flat knitting machine.

This method is particularly suitable for the production of compression articles with a very good fit.

The number of sections can be specified or freely selected.

  • Vermessen des durch den Kompressionsartikel zu stützenden Körperteils durch Scannen des Körperteils;
  • Berechnung der notwendigen Maschenanzahl je Maschenreihe entsprechend dem gemessenen Umfang des Körperteils im durch die Maschenreihe abgedeckten Bereich des Körperteils;
  • Berechnung derjenigen, über den Umfang des Kompressionsartikels verteilten, Stellen innerhalb jeder Maschenreihe, an denen eine Maschenzu- und/oder -abnahme im Vergleich zur vorangehenden Maschenreihe erforderlich ist, sodass im angezogenen Zustand des Kompressionsartikels die zentrale Längsachse des Kompressionsgestricks mit der zentralen Längsachse des Körperteils übereinstimmt;
  • Berechnung der notwendigen Anzahl von Maschen je Maschenstäbchen des Kompressionsartikels zur Abdeckung des Körperteils in dessen Längsrichtung;
An alternative method for producing a compression stocking on a knitting machine, in particular a flat knitting machine, according to the invention comprises the following steps:
  • measuring the body part to be supported by the compression article by scanning the body part;
  • Calculation of the necessary number of stitches per row of stitches according to the measured circumference of the body part in the area of the body part covered by the row of stitches;
  • Calculation of those places distributed over the circumference of the compression article within each row of stitches at which a stitch increase and/or decrease compared to the preceding row of stitches is required so that in the tightened state of the compression article the central longitudinal axis of the compression knitted fabric coincides with the central longitudinal axis of the body part;
  • calculating the necessary number of stitches per wale of the compression article to cover the body part in its longitudinal direction;
  • Knitting the compression article on a flat knitting machine using the calculated counts of stitches per course, the calculated places of increase and/or decrease in the courses, and the calculated necessary numbers of stitches per wale.

This procedure requires full scanning of the body part to be supported. The required number of stitches and/or gusset points for the optimal fit of the compression article are then calculated from this measurement data, stitch row by stitch row. A stitch increase or decrease in stitches can occur anywhere within a row of stitches, not just at the edges of sections. This more complex process is particularly suitable for the production of compression articles for patients with complaints, for whom an excellent fit and optimal compression pressure distribution are essential.

A preferred exemplary embodiment of a compression article according to the invention is described in more detail below with reference to the drawing.

Die Darstellung in Fig. 1 dient jedoch der besseren Erläuterung des Herstellungsverfahrens des Artikels 10.The in the 1 and 2 The compression article 10 shown is produced on a flat knitting machine in the example shown and divided into four subsections 11, 12, 13 and 14 at the design stage, which define zones 15-18 between them, in which a stitch increase and/or a stitch reduction takes place. The four sections 11 to 14 are knitted with common thread guides, so that the 2 finished knitted fabric shown. The representation in 1 however, serves to better explain the manufacturing process of Article 10.

Each of the sections 11 to 14 is adjusted in the zones 15 to 18 on the longitudinal edges of the sections 11 to 14 with respect to the number of stitches in each row of stitches such that the finished compression knitted fabric 10 is optimally adapted in shape to a body part to be supported. For this purpose, measurement data of the body part are first used to select a basic pattern for the compression article 10 from a set of available patterns, which is already close to the required shape of the compression article 10 . The cuts of the partial sections 11 to 14 of this basic pattern are then corrected in such a way that the fit of the compression article 10 composed of the partial sections is optimally adapted to the shape of the body part. This correction is done by adjusting the number of stitches per row of stitches in zones 15 to 18 on the longitudinal edges of sections 11 to 14 and the provision of gusset zones 19 at least in some of sections 11 to 14. This also reduces the length of the wales in sections 11 to 14 varies according to body part shape. Overall, the in 2 shown three-dimensional compression article 10, which only has to be closed by a longitudinal seam.
