Description

The invention relates to a locking fitting of the espagnolette type comprising a housing accommodating a drive mechanism for controlling movement of at least one operating rod and comprising at least one follower having a hub provided with an opening for receiving a square maneuvering a handle or a control button, said housing comprising a breakable and / or retractable locking member for temporarily immobilizing in rotation said follower.

The present invention relates to the field of building hardware and relates, in particular, lock fittings type espagnolette.

In this regard, these cremones comprise, usually, a housing adapted adapted to accommodate a drive mechanism on which is able to act the user by means of a handle or a control button, if necessary, again, using a keyed element.

In fact, the movement provided by the user is reflected by said drive mechanism on one or more operating rods extending above and / or below said housing.

Note, in this regard, that such operating rods can extend in perimetry of the opening of a door, window or the like, this through cross references. In such conditions and through appropriate locking members, they allow perimetral locking of the door, window or the like, or the selection of different modes of opening of the latter.

It is understandable that when assembling the various parts constituting a cremone at a carpentry, it is essential that these parts are in a specific configuration, either locking or unlocking, the cremone for ability to adjust their positioning relative to each other.

This is still essential in the case where the rods maneuver must be cut in length. It is advisable, in fact, to take into account, at the time of this recutage of the stroke and the direction of movement that can be communicated to these operating rods to move from their locked position in the unlocked position and vice versa.

Note, in this regard, that such cremones take position, very frequently, in a recessed groove in rebate of the opening of a door, window or the like. Furthermore, it is quite common that a headrest comes to shelter the operating rod or rods moving in these embedding grooves. In fact, from the outset, that is to say at the output of the manufacture of these cremones, they are pre-equipped with this headrest to the rear of which extend the rods or maneuvering, or the housing hosting the drive mechanism. For these cases, it has been imagined a temporary connection device for securing an operating rod, in a given position, its headrest, the functionality of this device automatically comes to disappear from the first intervention of the user on the drive mechanism, especially during the test manipulation performed by the carpenter once made the installation and assembly of the parts of the cremone on the joinery.

Such a device is frequently in the form of a breakable plastic stud, passing through an orifice in the operating rod and being housed in a suitable section opening in the headrest. In some cases, it is still attached to the back of a headrest screw guide device through an oblong slot provided for this purpose at the operating rod housed by the headrest. If such a screw guide has the primary function of guiding fastening screws to make the carpentry headrest integral, it is still attributed to it, often, the guiding function of the operating rod, but also that temporary blocking in translation of the latter. Here again, it is a question, on this screw-guide, for example of a deformable tongue provided with a retaining pin that one will be able to make coincide with a notching at the level of one or the other lateral edges of the light in the operating rod that passes through this screw guide.

If all these solutions address the problem, namely to ensure a temporary immobilization of a cremone operating rod, their implementation requires the presence of a headrest, otherwise this immobilization is impossible.

In addition, that the immobilizing device is in the form of a plastic pad or is associated with the screw guide, the laying of the stud or the manipulation that should be operated at the screw guide to make active the locking of the rod, represent, in all cases, additional operations to be performed at the manufacturer during assembly of the parts of the espagnolette.

In this regard, it is still known from FR-A-2,521,627 a cremone for a door, window or the like, comprising, at the rear of a headrest, an operating rod on which acts the follower of a control mechanism housed in a housing secured to said headrest.

Said housing, defined in two parts, comprises internally and at one of its side walls, a pin integrally formed with this wall and which is provided adapted to take position in an opening made at the height of the crown said follower. This allows the assembly of the cremone to position, angularly, this follower relative to the operating rod on which it is brought to act. In the first maneuver the rotational control exerted on the nut causes the cutting of the pin or pins relative to the housing, knowing that said pins are provided to persist in the housing of the crown of the follower during subsequent uses of the espagnolette.

In this regard and as is apparent from the above summary, the means for temporarily immobilize the follower of the espagnolette require a particular design of this follower. Thus, it is not only necessary to design at the level of one of the side walls of the housing spindles of small dimensions and, therefore, particularly difficult to make by molding, but it is still necessary to drill the crown of the nut of section holes. adapted. Indeed, it is very difficult to obtain the holes for the reception of the pins other than by machining, precisely because of the small sections in question.

The main disadvantage consists, certainly, in that the housing is necessarily designed in two parts and can not be made in one piece, particularly by injection molding of a single piece in which it is possible to deposit the follower by simple gravity.

Thus, the invention as defined in the claims solves these problems and consists of a locking mechanism of the cremone type, comprising a housing housing a mechanism driving device for the displacement control of at least one operating rod comprising at least one follower having a hub provided with an opening for receiving the operating square of a handle or a control knob, said housing comprising a breakable and / or retractable locking member, for temporarily immobilizing the follower in rotation, this breakable and / or retractable locking member being in the form of a retaining tongue formed at a cut made in one of the walls the housing to the right of the nut having peripherally a retaining pin adapted to cooperate with said retaining tab for the immobilization in rotation of the follower.

Advantageously, the locking member is in the form of a retaining tab taking position in a cutout formed at the bottom of the housing to the right of the follower, the latter having at the periphery, a retaining pin adapted to cooperate with a retaining tongue for immobilizing the follower in rotation.

The present invention relates to the field of lock fittings type cremone 1.

As can be seen in the figures of the attached drawing, this cremone 1 comprises a housing 2 accommodating a drive mechanism 3 for the control in displacement of operating rods 4, 5 extending respectively above and below this case 2.

In fact, the user can intervene on this drive mechanism 3 by means of a handle or a command button, or even with a key element of the barrel type, this to bring the rods 4, 5 in their locking position and unlocking. Such a key element can still provide a locking function of the operating rod or rods in the locking position.

In the illustrated embodiment, the drive mechanism 3 is essentially limited to a follower 6 whose hub 7 has an opening 8 for receiving the operating square of a handle or a control button. This follower 6 is further provided with a toothing 9 engaged with a rack 10, here associated directly with an operating rod 4, so that the control in rotation of the follower 6 leads to the vertical displacement, in the direction of the lock or the unlocking, of this rod 4.

As shown by way of indication in FIG. 1, this drive mechanism 3 can still receive a reversing pinion 11 making it possible to communicate to the operating rods 4, 5 displacements in opposite directions under the action of the follower 6.

In particular, beyond this follower 6 the operating rod 4 is extended and receives a second rack 12 engaged with the toothing of the reversing gear 11, while it meshes, in a diametrically opposite manner, on a rack 13 associated with the operating rod 5 extending under the housing 2.

As recalled in the introductory part, it is often useful for this or these operating rods 4, 5, which includes the espagnolette, to be temporarily immobilized in a specific position, in order to facilitate the assembly operations of this espagnolette on a carpentry, in particular on the opening of a door, window or the like. In addition, it may be necessary, during this assembly, to cut in length this or these rods 4, 5. However, it should be taken into account, when performing this operation of the locked or unlocked position of this or these operating rods 4, 5.

Also, it is associated with the housing 2 at least one breakable and / or retractable locking member 14 provided to immobilize, temporarily, or the operating rods 4, 5 by action on at least one part of the drive mechanism 3, this at least until the first order passed on it by the user.

According to the invention, this breakable and / or retractable locking member 14 is formed at a cutout 15 made in one of the walls 16 of the casing 2 so that, during the first order of the user, this member 14 after being cut, can fall outside the housing 2 or in such a way that it can retract to the outside of the housing 2, either irreversibly following this first command, or systematically to each lock command and / or unlocking, a bit like a ratchet.

In the context of the embodiment particularly shown in Figures 1 to 3 of the attached drawing, this locking member 14 is in the form of a tongue of retaining 17 taking position in a recess 15 formed at the bottom 16 of the housing 2 to the right of the follower 6, the latter having, peripherally, a retaining pin 18 adapted to cooperate with the retaining tongue 17 from which results l immobilization in rotation of the follower 6.

The latter being engaged, via its toothing 9, with the rack of the operating rod 4, it is automatically immobilized in translation, just as the other operating rod 5 connected to the previous through of the reversing gear 11.

The mechanical strength of the retaining tongue 17 can thus be determined that under the impulse communicated by the user to the follower 6, the retaining pin 18 is able to push outwardly this retaining tab 17. This action may result, if necessary, the severing of the retaining tab 17 at its base 19. This may be the case, for example, when the retaining tab 17 and, therefore, the housing 2, are designed in material plastic. It is still possible that the constraint applied by the retaining pin 18 on the retaining tongue 17 simply assures the folding of the latter and thus its retraction towards the outside of the case 2. In particular, it should be noted that this retaining tongue 17 can thus irrevocably disappear, but it can still, by elastic effect systematically regain its initial locking position, so that at each locking and / or unlocking control retaining pin 18 will have to push this retaining tongue 17, this a little in the manner of a pawl.

In such a situation, this retractable locking member 14 can, secondarily, fill an indexing function of the follower 6 in a determined angular position regardless of the games at the drive mechanism 3. Thus, if due to these games a control handle cooperating through the maneuvering square with the follower 6, would tend not to be strictly horizontal in its rest position corresponding to the locking or unlocking of the espagnolette 1 , the locking member 14 prevents this by retaining the follower 6 in a well-defined angular position.

As is apparent from the foregoing description, the temporary locking of the operating rod or rods of a cremone is, here, provided in the absence of any headrest besides this blockage occurs during the manufacturing phase of these cremones by the simple assembly of the parts that constitute them.

Therefore, the present invention responds, advantageously, to the problem.

Locking fitting of the espagnolette type (1), including a housing (2) receiving a driving mechanism (3) for controlling at least one operating rod (4, 5), including at least one tumbler (6) having a hub (7) provided with an opening (8) for receiving the operating square of a handle or a control knob, said housing (2) including a shearable and/or collapsible blocking organ (14), for immobilizing temporarily in rotation the tumbler (6), characterised in that the shearable and/or collapsible blocking organ (14) is in the form of a retaining tongue (17) provided for at the level of a cut-out (15) made in one of the walls (16) of the housing (2) in front of the tumbler (6) comprising at the periphery a retaining pin (18) capable of co-operating with said retaining tongue (17) for immobilizing in rotation said tumbler (6).
2. Locking fitting according to claim 1, characterised in that the retaining tongue (17) is positioned in a cut-out (15) made at the level of the bottom (16) of the housing (2) in front of the tumbler (6).
3. Locking fitting according to any of claims 1 and 2, characterised in that the retaining tongue (17) is designed capable of being sheared, at its base (19) under the thrust of the retaining pin (18) associated to the tumbler (6) under the impulse communicated to the latter by the user.

Locking fitting according to any of claims 1 and 2, characterised in that the retaining tongue (17) is defined capable of irreversibly folding towards the outside of the housing (2) under the stress applied by the retaining pin (18) associated to the tumbler (6) under the impulse communicated to the latter by the user.
5. Locking fitting according to any of claims 1 and 2, characterised in that the retaining tongue (17) is defined capable of being pushed away elastically by the retaining pin (18) associated to the tumbler (6) upon each locking and/or unlocking impulse communicated to the latter by the user.
6. Locking fitting according to any of the preceding claims, characterised in that the blocking organ (14) constitutes means for indexing the tumbler (6) in a specified angular position.
