All the same, it is preferable to avoid any gaps, cracks, recesses or the like - where particles of filling material may become trapped and stagnate - between the nozzle and any material that may be attached to it to form the frustoconical surface 6.
  • the way in which the device in question works will be described below.
  • the bottles 3a or 3b are fed, one after the other and in a known manner, to the filling carousel which receives the bottles and advances them around a circumferential path, along which they are filled.
  • each bottle is moved upwards so that the corresponding dispensing/suction nozzle 1 can be inserted.
  • Any misalignment between the nozzle 1 and the mouth 2 is corrected automatically.
  • an air-tight seal is formed around the mouth 2 so that the pressure inside the bottle is, as a result of the suction, less than the pressure in the external environment.
  • the seal is produced by an upper edge of the mouth 2 fitting tightly against the frustoconical surface 6 that is integral with the nozzle 1.
  • the edge of the mouth 2 is pressed with a given pressure against the external frustoconical surface 6 of the nozzle 1.
  • the plastic material from which the mouth 2 is made is more deformable than the frustoconical surface 6.
  • the slight elastic yielding of the mouth 2 of the bottle is sufficient to ensure an excellent seal around the edge of the said mouth. As a result of this seal, the air can be efficiently sucked out.
  • the bottle and the nozzle are disengaged simply by moving the bottle vertically downwards.
  • the degree of taper of the frustoconical surface 6 is such as to allow the nozzle 1 easily to penetrate inside the mouth 2 of the bottle and also such as to allow the nozzle 1 to be subsequently removed from the mouth 2. It is also important that the engagement between the frustoconical surface 6 and the mouth 2 does not cause any permanent deformation of the latter. It has however been found that an effective seal can be produced without damaging the bottle mouth.
  • the degree of taper is selected as a function of the deformability of the mouth 2: generally, the greater the deformability, the greater the angle of taper of the frustoconical surface 6, whereas in the case of very rigid mouths 2 it is advisable to use a relatively shallow taper.
  • the seal tightness required to generate a drop in pressure inside the bottle during filling is achieved as a result of the temporary deformation to which the mouth edge is subjected when it is pressed against the relatively hard and relatively non-deformable frustoconical surface.

Claims (6)

  1. Verfahren zum Füllen von Flaschen aus Kunststoff, von denen jede oben eine Öffnung (2) hat, enthaltend die folgenden Phasen:
    Einsetzen einer Abgabe- und Saugdüse (1) in die Öffnung (2) einer jeden Flasche, um eine in die Flasche zu füllende Flüssigkeit abzugeben und die im Inneren der genannten Flasche enthaltene Luft abzusaugen;
    Bilden einer luftdichten Dichtung rund um die Öffnung (2) der Flasche, so dass, sobald die Flasche gefüllt ist, der Druck im Inneren dieser geringer ist als der Druck der äusseren Umgebung;
    dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die genannte Dichtung durch einen Rand der Öffnung (2) hergestellt ist, der abdichtend an einer im wesentlichen stumpfkegelförmigen Oberfläche (6) anliegt, die in einem Stück mit der Düse (1) ist, wobei der genannte Rand der Öffnung (2) verformbarer ist als die stumpfkegelförmige Oberfläche (6).
  2. Verfahren nach Patentanspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass der Rand der Öffnung (2) und die stumpfkegelförmige Oberfläche (6) mit einem bestimmten Druck gegeneinander gepresst werden, der ausreichend ist, um ein im wesentlichen leichtes elastisches Nachgeben der Öffnung (2) der Flasche zu erhalten.
  3. Verfahren nach Patentanspruch 1 oder 2, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die genannten stumpfkegelförmige Oberfläche (6) die äussere Oberfläche der Düse (1) ist.
  4. Flaschen aus Kunststoff und eine Vorrichtung zum Füllen der genannten Flaschen aus Kunststoff, wobei die genannten Flaschen aus Kunststoff an ihrem oberen Ende jede eine elastisch verformbare Öffnung (2) aufweisen, und wobei die genannte Vorrichtung wie folgt enthält:
    wenigstens eine Abgabe- und Saugdüse (1), in der Lage, eine in die Flasche zu füllende Flüssigkeit abzugeben und die im Inneren der Flasche enthaltene Luft abzusaugen, welche ein unteres Ende hat, das in die obere Öffnung (2) einer Flasche eingesetzt werden kann, wobei das genannte Ende wenigstens einen Auslass zum Einfüllen der Flüssigkeit und einen Einlass zum Absaugen der Luft enthält;
    Mittel zum Zuführen der Flasche an die Düse ( 1 ) und zum Einsetzen des genannten unteren Endes der Düse (1) in die obere Öffnung (2) der Flasche;
    dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die Düse (1) eine stumpfkegelförmige äussere Oberfläche (6) hat, die sich nach unten hin verjüngt, wobei der grössere Durchmesser der genannten Oberfläche (6) grösser ist als der Innendurchmesser der Öffnung (2), und wobei die genannte Oberfläche (6) so geformt ist, dass sie abdichtend an dem Rand der Öffnung (2) der Flasche anliegt und auch weniger verformbar ist als der genannte Rand.
  5. Flaschen aus Kunststoff und eine Vorrichtung nach Patentanspruch 4, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die genannte stumpfkegelförmige äussere Oberfläche (6) der Düse (1) aus Metall hergestellt ist.
  6. Flaschen aus Kunststoff und eine Vorrichtung nach Patentanspruch 4 oder 5, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass sie wie folgt enthält:
    ein Abfüllkarussell, das sich auf einen Antrieb hin um eine vertikale Drehachse dreht und eine Anzahl der genannten Abgabe- und Saugdüsen (1) trägt, die umlaufend um die genannte Drehachse angeordnet sind;
    eine Zuführlinie der Flaschen, welche die diese eine neben der anderen den genannten Düsen zuführen kann, und zwar synchron mit der Umdrehung des Abfüllkarussells.
