Definitions
- the invention relates to a printing unit according to the preamble of claim 1.
- Such printing units are found in particular in price labeling devices and hand stamping use.
- They consist of several pressure belts or wheels, which are manually adjustable by means of an adjustment button, so that selectable print types are placed in the print position can.
- printing types with ink which is usually indicated by a Ink roller or ink pad can be printed on an item - especially a price label - printed on it become.
- Such a ribbon printing unit is for example from the EP 153651 A became known. It consists in its basic Structure from a housing in which an adjusting shaft is axially displaceable and is rotatably arranged. Via the setting shaft is a slotted sleeve slid on the coaxial side by side several dials are stored. Around the dials printing tapes carrying printing types are looped. Because the adjustment shaft is provided with teeth through the slots in reach through the sleeve, and in corresponding recesses on The inner circumference of the adjustment wheels can be engaged by azimuthal Rotation of the setting shaft each the position of a printing tape be set, ie. the desired print type in the Printing position.
- the setting shaft becomes the setting shaft with one of the setting wheels brought into drive connection.
- a latching of the axial position of the adjusting shaft is done by a locking finger, which is made in one piece with the sleeve, and in Engages recesses of the adjusting shaft.
- Preload of the locking finger locks the setting shaft each in a position in which their teeth with an adjustment wheel are engaged.
- the locking finger is thus with the sleeve made in one piece, and made of a plastic material.
- This embodiment is inexpensive, but with suffers from the disadvantage that the locking finger only a certain one Number of displacements of the setting shaft tolerates, and then can break off due to material fatigue. The adverse consequence is that the entire printing unit and thus also the labeling device become unusable.
- the invention is the problem based on creating a printing unit that is characterized by longevity and reliability.
- a printing unit with a Housing, an adjusting shaft mounted axially displaceable in the housing with each other in the axial direction of the adjusting shaft spaced recesses, a surrounding the adjusting shaft Sleeve, the sleeve provided with a locking finger is that used to define the axial position of the adjusting shaft can be locked in one of the recesses of the adjusting shaft is solved in that the sleeve and the locking finger are made in two pieces.
- the main idea is instead of a one-piece sleeve with detent fingers molded onto it, two separate elements, namely to provide a sleeve and a locking finger, which are separate manufactured and then assembled together.
- the locking finger is made of durable material
- Metal is made of plastic while the sleeve can be distinguished by value for money and easy workability distinguished.
- the advantages of the invention consist primarily in a larger one Durability and lifespan of the printing unit.
- a hook can be formed on the locking finger, which engages under a web of the sleeve, so that the web between the hook and the locking finger is pinched. So you get a fixation in the axial direction of the locking finger with respect the sleeve, and when appropriate, ie. approximately matching Dimensions of the web and the hook in lateral (or azimuthal) direction also in the lateral direction of the locking finger. Of course, it is also conceivable to attach the web to the locking finger and the hook on the sleeve.
- the extension can be integrally formed on the sleeve, and the recess in the stop finger.
- the locking finger have a first section has a rounded head on the front is, which can be locked in the recesses of the adjusting shaft is.
- the intrinsic elasticity of the first section the locking finger can in this embodiment of the invention cause the locking finger to be biased in such a way that the spring force necessary for locking in the recesses arises.
- the locking finger then has a second one Section on which the hook and / or the extension is in one piece are molded.
- the printing unit 10 shown in FIG. 1 contains one out of two Housing halves 12 and 14 composite printing unit housing, in which several arranged in parallel to dials 16 and Deflection wheels 18 which are guided around the printing area and are guided around printing tapes 20 are accommodated.
- the printing unit 10 is in particular for use provided in hand labeling devices.
- the print ribbons 20 are not included in Figure 1 for reasons of clarity shown, but clearly visible in Figure 2.
- the printing tapes 20 alternately carry printing types on their outer peripheral surface 22 and display types 24.
- the assignment of print types 22 to the Display types 24 are made such that print types 22, which are currently in the printing position on a deflection wheel 18, and display types 24, which are indicated by a on the top of the housing arranged window 26 are visible, the same Number, the same letter or the like. This means that through the window 26 on the top of the housing through it can be seen which character with the below print types 22 located on the deflection edge onto a recording medium can be printed.
- the print bands 20 are around dials 16 guided around, which are rotatably mounted on a sleeve 28.
- the sectional drawing of Figure 2 shows that in the sleeve 28th three slots are attached to the right in Figure 1 lying sleeve ends are open. Reach through these slots Teeth 32,34,36 through, which are attached to an adjusting shaft 42 are.
- the setting shaft 42 is in a bearing bushing 44 slidably mounted in the housing half 14. By Moving the setting shaft 42 in the axial direction can this Shaft by engaging teeth 32,34,36 in corresponding Recesses 46 in the hub areas of the dials 16 with these are brought into a drive connection.
- Figure 2 is the engagement of the tooth 36 in one of the recesses 46 of the Setting wheel 16 to recognize.
- an operating button 48 At the end of the adjusting shaft 42 protruding from the housing is attached an operating button 48, with the help of the Adjustment shaft 42 shifted axially on the one hand and on the other hand can be rotated. Due to the axial displacement of the setting shaft 42 are the teeth 36 attached to it initially with the recesses 46 of a dial 16 to be understood Engaged, and by rotating the adjusting shaft 42nd then the printing tape 20 guided around its outer circumference moves until a desired print type 22 in Printing position is located below the deflection wheel 18. As before was mentioned, the respective position of the print types 22 checked through the window 26 attached to the top of the housing become. To achieve a drive connection between the pressure bands 20 and the setting wheels 16 have the pressure bands 20 teeth 50 on their inner surface, which in recesses 52 engage in the outer peripheral surfaces of the dials 16.
- This Latching mechanism includes a sleeve 28 attached Latching finger 54, which is radially inward on the sleeve inner surface protrudes and engages in recesses 56 which in one area introduced the outer peripheral surface of the adjusting shaft 42 are.
- a locking recess 56 is provided for each of the setting wheels mounted on the sleeve 28 16.
- the adjusting shaft 42 extends in the section immediately adjacent to the operating button 48 through a bushing 44 on a conical cap 64 is attached.
- a conical cap 64 is attached.
- One of the functions of this cap 64 is for a smooth covering of the upper part of the printing unit 10 to worry about.
- it also carries a window 26 surrounding it Frame 27, which is slidably mounted on the top of the housing is; the type of storage is clearly shown in Figure 2.
- Another locking mechanism for the dials 16 exists from a coil spring 66 which is parallel to the longitudinal axis of the Adjusting shaft 42 is arranged on the circumference of the adjusting wheels 16 is that they are in the recesses 52 on the circumference of the dials 16 partially penetrates, which can be clearly seen in Figure 2 is. So that the dials 16 can be rotated, though the screw spring 66 engages in its recesses according to FIG. 2, is the coil spring on an elastically compliant Pad 68 stored. When turning the dials 16 can the coil spring 66 dodge in this way and thereby press into the pad 68.
- the deflection wheels 18 are rotatably mounted on an axis 70, which extends parallel to the longitudinal axis of the adjusting shaft 42. Another locking mechanism works with the deflection wheels 74 together, the deflection wheel in a manner known per se 18 locked in a position in which a print type 22 is in the printing position.
- FIG. 2 it can be seen that a second printing unit 72, which with the printing unit shown on the left in FIG. 2 essentially is the same, but has smaller print types 22 ', in the Housing 10 is installed.
- spacer elements are used 80 provided that adjustable between two positions are. In the first position are those with the reference symbol 80 'marked spacers vertically downwards panned. In this position they do not intervene Printing tapes 20 a.
- the spacer elements are in the second position identified by reference numeral 80. They lie each between two adjacent print bands 20 and their tip is positioned between the dials 18, via the the printing tapes 20 run. Prevent the spacers 80 thus in the second position a touch of an adjacent one Pressure tapes 20, which significantly reduces the friction between them and easier adjustment of the printing tapes with the Actuation button 48 allows.
- the first position is in the first Line provided for manufacturing reasons as it allows the printing tapes 20 at the same time, that is (with respect to the 1 directly next to each other) in the housing of the printing unit 10 bring in.
- the spacer elements from the Position 80 is brought into position 80 'by pivoting, in which they define the distance between adjacent print ribbons.
- the second printing unit 72 is much smaller printing types 22 'and thus has thinner pressure tapes 20', is Friction between the latter less, so that on spacers can be dispensed with.
- the spacer elements 80 are common arranged on an axis 82 and are defined by (cylindrical) Spacers kept at a distance from each other.
- Axis 82 is, as can be seen from Figure 2, with a square Provide cross section, while the spacer elements 80 with a Hole are equipped with two straight side surfaces, so that the spacer elements 80 are positive and torque-locking as a result are attached to the axis 82, because the axis 82 through the hole extends.
- the spacer elements 80 are approximately rectangular and have the hole near one of the shorter sides.
- the sleeve 28 and the locking finger 54 are as two separate, separate elements.
- Figure 3 is a view of sleeve 28 with one attached Rastfinger 54 reproduced.
- the locking finger 54 is made of sheet metal and shown individually in Figures 4 and 5. His Attachment in the sleeve 28 can be seen in Figure 6.
- the locking finger 54 has a freely movable first section with a rounded head 60.
- the head 60 comes in the recesses 56 of the adjusting shaft 42 for contact.
- the first section of the locking finger 54 is biased in this way, ie. in the assembled state of the printing unit compared to that in FIG. 4 and 6 shown rest position that the to lock in the recesses 56 necessary spring force arises.
- a second section 55 of the separate locking finger 54 is used Fixing the locking finger 54 on the sleeve 28 the side of the second section 55 facing the head 60 initially extending in the direction of the longitudinal axis of the sleeve 28, and then angled towards head 60 Hook 58 and at the end of the second section 55 that facing away from the head 60, one perpendicular to the second Section 55 away, in the direction of the longitudinal axis of the sleeve 28 extension 59 to be provided.
- the hook 58 and the extension 59 are made in one piece with the locking finger 54, and by a suitable deformation of the material of the Latching fingers 54 formed in a press.
- the locking finger 54 is preferably punched out of sheet metal.
- the fixing of the locking finger 54 on the sleeve 28 is based on the Figure 6 clearly visible.
- the hook 58 engages under a web Sleeve 28 so that the web between the hook 58 and the second Section of the locking finger 54 is pinched.
- the extension 59 extends through a corresponding recess in the sleeve 28
- the locking finger 54 is first placed on the Set sleeve that the hook 58 engages under the web. Then the locking finger 54 in its longitudinal direction, ie. in Figure 6 shifted to the right until the extension 59 over the Recess of the sleeve lies. Finally, the extension 59 in pressed the recess. As a result, the locking finger 54 is thus attached to the sleeve 28 by a clip connection. There the head 60 only when moving the adjusting shaft 42 in vertical direction (with respect to Figure 6), but not horizontally or move perpendicular to the drawing plane of Figure 6 can, it is sufficiently fixed.
- the printing unit described is suitable for installation in hand-held labeling devices, with their help adhering to a carrier tape
- a hand labeling device is shown in FIG shown schematically. It has a handle 108, which on Rear end of a housing 110 is attached. At the top of the housing 110 there is a shaft 112, the receiving a supply roll 114 of the self-adhesive labels Carrier tape serves.
- the carrier tape is in the device by the Supply roll 114 from down and towards the front edge 115 transported.
- the handle 108 Underneath the handle 108 is an axis 113 rotatably mounted control lever 120, with the help of which all processes taking place in the device, such as transporting the carrier tape and printing can be done.
- the operating lever against the force of a Spring 121 pulled against the handle 108 and then again released.
- the one in the front area of the housing 110 Extension of the control lever 120 attached printing unit 10 moves in the direction of the arrow when lever 120 is pulled 122 against the printing table 118; at the same time, the in the printing position of the printing position by means of a not illustrated inking device wetted with color. That on the pressure table 118 located self-adhesive label is by Opening of the printing unit printed.
- the actuation button 48 is located on the side of the housing 110 before, and in the housing side wall visible in Figure 7 is a Cutout 124 attached, the movement of the printing unit 10th in the direction of arrow 122 allows without the printing unit bumps against the housing wall.
