Definitions

  • the invention relates to a method for isolating infectious patients and a protective suit for infectious patients.
  • a protective suit (FR 2 727 833) to protect the patient from cold during treatment on an X-ray or operating table.
  • This protective suit which consists of several separate parts, also includes a hood.
  • a three-layer fabric is used for thermal insulation. This substance is relatively expensive.
  • the protective suit itself is not able to ensure good protection against contamination of the patient's environment, but geared to keeping warm.
  • the object of the invention is therefore to find ways and means to prevent a simple and effective way of contamination of the treatment equipment and personnel during transport and treatment and thus the disinfection effort in hospitals to avoid or at least significantly reduce.
  • the protective suit according to the invention both during transport and during treatment, very effectively protects the environment as well as the treatment equipment and the personnel from contamination by the patient.
  • the inventive construction of the protective suit as a fabric allows to wrap both a bedridden patient including his bedding, as well as in a non-bedridden patient to perform the wrapping, without the bedding is contaminated by the patient.
  • the protective suit can, if it is necessary for the treatment, be opened partially or completely, wherein the spreading out of the patient panel when opening the suit always forms a continuous surface, so that the bedding remains protected.
  • the protective suit according to the invention has closures and is cut so that the protective suit in its open position represents a fabric on which the patient is placed, and the patient in this fabric adapted to his body is wrapped under closure of the closures.
  • the protective suit can wrap the patient as a whole or be adapted to individual limbs. It is sufficient for a pure transport function and it is most expedient if the patient is completely enveloped by the protective suit, without the protective suit adapted to individual limbs.
  • a separate pocket is provided for each leg, which can be opened independently of the other leg pocket.
  • the cut is designed so that the support side of the patient remains at the opening of the suit a closed area, so that the treatment table can not be contaminated.
  • the closures of the suit are not magnetic, especially non-metallic. It is therefore preferred Velcro or zippers made of plastic used.
  • the protective suit can also be designed as a fabric that is laid over the patient, including his bedding, wherein the head is received in a hood with a face cutout.
  • this suit also for treatment purposes, appropriate, closable openings are provided.
  • the protective suit is made of an anti-microbial or cocci-isolating material.
  • a fabric of microfibers has both proven by its insulating effect, as well as its washability, so that the protective suit is often reusable.
  • a one-piece nursing suit is known to prevent the incontinent and disoriented persons to remove their diaper inserts.
  • This suit has zipper openings for the purpose of covering the protective suit and the possibility of exposing the problem zone for cleaning the patient.
  • the zippers can only be operated by means of a special hook wrench so that the patient can not open them himself.
  • the suit should nevertheless give the care-requiring wearer freedom of movement like a piece of clothing.
  • a protective suit for infectious patients however, this suit is not suitable, in particular because it is difficult to apply to bedridden and sick patients who are handicapped in their movement.
  • US 4,382,303 describes the manufacture of a medical examination shirt or a children's suit suitable for similar purposes, which keeps the train away and gives off heat, yet should be able to open quickly for the body to be released quickly (abstract, first four lines).
  • the garment is intended to be made from a single piece of nonwoven polyester film material which is appropriately cut for the front and back and has sleeve portions. The fabric is folded over the length and is provided in the middle with a neckline. On the sides front part and back part are connected to each other by an ultrasonic weld. As a result, this protective suit can not spread as a fabric over the bedding when opening, but only partially open (diagonal). For example, the arms can not be exposed at all.
  • This known garment can provide no contamination protection in the context of the invention.
  • the novelty and particularity of the medical protective suit according to the invention is that the protective suit is designed as a fabric with closures on which the patient is placed or those on the patient is spread and the patient is wrapped in this fabric.
  • the protective suit is easy to apply even in motion-impaired or immobile patients, without the nursing staff itself contaminated.
  • the protective suit 1 according to FIG. 1 is shown in closed form and has leg parts 11 and 11 '.
  • zippers 13 and 13 'are provided, which include a middle piece 14 in the upper part of the protective suit 1.
  • the zippers 13 and 13 'are opened in the direction of the arrows through to over the end of the leg parts 11 and 11', so that they can be completely unfolded to a continuous surface.
  • the middle part 14 is then folded between the leg parts 11 and 11 ', so that again a closed surface is formed, on which the patient lies, even though the parts 11, 11' and 14 of the protective suit 1 released by the zippers 13, 13 'unfolded become.
  • the zippers 13 and 13 go so far at the bottom and top of the protective suit 1 to the outside, that a complete unfolding of the suit is guaranteed.
  • the protective suit may also have a hood 12, the can be firmly cut, or is also attached by a zipper.
  • the hood 12 has flaps 121 on both sides which can cover the sides of the head so that the entire patient is wrapped, except for the face.
  • a drawstring 122 (FIGS. 3 and 4) may additionally be attached to the hood edge, so that the hood 12 can be closed as a head protection except for a narrow face cutout.
  • drawstrings 122 can also be arranged on leg or arm passage openings in order to close these openings against the limbs.
  • the handling of the suit is very simple and can also be applied to patients who can not even put on a protective suit.
  • the open protective suit 1 is placed over the bed or the transport stretcher, then the patient lies down on it or is placed on this pad. Then the opened side or leg parts 11, 11 'are beaten over the patient and the zippers 13 and 13' are closed against the direction of the arrows P.
  • the head lies on the hood 12, which is also closed by Velcro and / or drawstrings 122, so that only the face remains free. In this enveloped state, the patient can be transported or placed on the X-ray table. It is important only that no metal parts in the production of the protective suit 1 use, as they would interfere with the X-rays.
  • an opening in the whole or a leg part is partially or completely provided.
  • the zippers it is possible to place the zippers so that other parts of the body or limbs for special treatments are accessible while the patient remains covered as such.
  • FIG. 2 shows another embodiment of a protective suit 2, which covers the entire patient without delimiting the limbs.
  • Velcro closures 23 are provided. These are provided in pieces, as a continuous Velcro closure can be difficult to conclude without dislocations. In addition, caused by such dislocations unwanted openings.
  • the protective suit is cut so that the patient does not have to cover it, but is wrapped in it from head to toe. That is, the suit 1, 2 or 3 is laid open to a panel laid on the bed or stretcher so that it is not contaminated by the patient. The patient is then placed on the open protective suit and wrapped in this, with the suit tight with zippers or Velcro closures germ-tight.
  • the patient is enveloped holistically, ie the protective suit 2 is designed like a sleeping bag in which the individual limbs are not taken into account and separated by the blank.
  • a hood 12 is provided, which is placed around with their lobes 22 around the head.
  • the protective suit is closed by Velcro fasteners 23.
  • the closures must hold well, must not rise, but on the other hand, the disinfection by washing and disinfectant well survive and must not contain any metal parts in particular for X-ray treatments and MRI examinations.
  • the protective suit must be suitable for treatment. This means that the material does not interfere with the treatment or examination with respect to magnetism (magnetic resonance imaging), radiological examinations and X-rays. This is especially true for the closures.
  • magnetism magnetic resonance imaging
  • X-rays X-rays
  • Velcro fasteners 23 are particularly suitable for this, as shown in FIG. 2, where the infusion lines are led out between the individual pieces.
  • Figure 3 shows a further embodiment of the protective suit, wherein the protective suit 3 - similar to Figure 1 - equipped with zippers 33, 33 'and a central portion 34.
  • the tops of the sleeves 38 and 38 ', respectively, are to be opened or closed continuously by a zipper 35 and 35', respectively, so that when the zippers 35 and 33 are opened, they can be opened to a continuous surface to place the patient thereon and wrap.
  • the arrows P indicate the expedient opening direction of the zippers.
  • the hood 32 is fastened to the neck portion of the protective suit 3 with collar tabs 36, which are designed as hook-and-loop fasteners. Instead of the tabs 121 ( Figure 1 or 2) a drawstring 122 is provided which contracts the hood 32 except for a face cutout 44. Also, this protective suit 3 may be provided with various closable openings to separate parts or areas of the body or the limbs for the treatment, as shown for example in Figures 1 and 4.
  • Figure 4 shows another type of protective suit according to the invention, in which for the wrapping of the patient this is not placed on the open protective suit, but the protective suit 4 is formed as a fabric, which is placed over the patient including his bedding.
  • a hood 42 is provided in the fabric, which receives the head and a face portion 42 which can be adapted by a pulling band 122 of the face.
  • openings are provided which can be opened and closed again by, for example, hook-and-loop fasteners 45, 45 ', 43, 46 and 46'.
  • the part 47 or 47 ' can be folded by opening the middle Velcro fastener 43 and the two hook-and-loop fasteners 45 and 46 or 45' and 46 'to the side, wherein the coherent fabric is maintained. After the treatment, the part 47 or 47 'is folded back again and closed with the closures 43, 45 and 46 or 45' and 46 '.
  • other openings may be provided in the protective suit 4, for example, to make arms or legs accessible.
  • This type of protective suit 4 has the advantage that the patient for wrapping does not have to be bedded on the open protective suit, which is essential in immobile patients as a result of anesthesia or injury.
  • the fabric used for the protective suits consists of a bacteriological insulating material which is breathable but impermeable to water.
  • a fabric made of microfiber was used for the already proven suits. This substance has been found in tests as isolable against bacteria and germs. This fabric also has several disinfectant treatments, such as cooking in the wash and other, several times perfectly survived without losing its insulating effect.
  • a substance which has proven to be very effective for the protective suit according to the invention in trial trials has the following specification: Web binding Canvas 1/1 Weight 130 g / m 2 material 100% PES Micro Chain Shot Thread per cm 60 30 fineness Nm 100 Nm 60
  • the invention has great economic and medical significance. The previous amount of disinfection is considerable. It can be done in this way high savings.
  • the protective suit according to the invention is easily adaptable to almost all situations and thus can be used many times. It is easy to manufacture and above all reusable many times. It has been found that the problem of resistant germs or cocci can be solved in this way surprisingly well with little effort.
